Summary of the previous chapter: Activation of the skill “That hairstyle is cute” of the cosplay brothel employee
Now, while I, Saikachi-san, and Hirose-kun were having a casual conversation, a girl entered the classroom.
”Good morning, everyone!”
And that girl walked to the seat behind Saikachi-san and sat down, then smiled mischievously.
”Seems like everyone is having an interesting conversation. Can I join too?”
With light natural makeup and colored contact lenses.
And her high-tone curled hair looked very “gal” or fashionable.
Saikachi-san has black hair with a straight hairstyle, so it’s quite contrasting.
”Um… if I remember correctly, your name is Shinonome-san, right?”
When I asked, she laughed brightly and said,
”That’s right! Nice to meet you! I’m Shinonome Sayuri. Well, I’m not really like a traditional Japanese name, though.”
”Well, at first glance, you definitely look like a gal. I’m Hata Akihiro. Nice to meet you.”
Gal-like girls usually speak casually and really fast, like a machine gun.
They also tend to give people random nicknames, even if they don’t make much sense. Come to think of it, I was called “Hata-ppi” before.
Gals are often seen as a bit stupid, but they bring a lively atmosphere and become the life of the party.
They have a way of quickly getting along with new people, so even in gatherings where there are people they’ve just met, they can easily become friends.
Well, there are some people who have a need to say everything they want to say and have a problem with being too close from the start.
But actually, if you listen to them, they are serious and kind, and they do many good things.
”I am Hirose Akihito.”
After Hirose-kun and I introduced ourselves, Shinonome-san said to Saikachi-san.
”Oh, well, since Eri-chin knows, there’s no need for a self-introduction.”
”Ah, yes, thank you.”
Shinonome-san said nonchalantly.
”So, is it true that Hata-pippi is a womanizer?”
Upon hearing Shinonome-san’s remark, I burst out laughing and said to Shinonome-san.
”Hey, I’m not a womanizer. In fact, I’m a loser who has never had a girlfriend, as you can see. By the way, where did the nickname ‘Hata-pippi’ come from?”
So when I said that, Shinonome-san tilted her head and said.
”Oh, I thought you were a seasoned playboy, a natural charmer who makes women cry.”
”Are your eyes full of holes or something?”
”So, about that nickname ‘Hata-pippi,’ any deep meaning behind it? Well, not really, just went with the flow, you know?”
”Flow, huh!”
”By the way, do you think I’m cute?”
Well, if she asks me, I’d say that she’s completely different from Saikachi-san, but there’s no doubt that she’s undeniably cute.
”Yeah, I think Shinonome-san is cute too. Among the girls, I think I consider Shinonome-san cuter than Saikachi-san. But on the other hand, I think there are more guys who think Saikachi-san is cuter than Shinonome-san.”
”Oh, really? Why is that?”
”Well, the definition of cute from a girl’s perspective and a guy’s perspective tends to be completely opposite. I think that for girls, the ones with light brown loose wavy hair and natural makeup, who are good at chatting and lively, are considered cute by girls, but the quiet girls with straight black hair and no makeup are liked by many guys.”
When I said that, Shinonome-san tilted her head.
”Why do you think that?”
”Most guys misunderstand that the shy, demure types like the Yamato Nadeshiko are easier to talk to.”
After all, men can’t win with words. Although in reality, there’s a higher chance that the conversation won’t last with that type.
”Oh, I see. You understand it well. You’re truly a natural playboy and a heartbreaker, Hata-pippi.”
”I’m not a playboy!”
Saikachi-san and Hirose-kun seem surprised by the exchange between me and Shinonome-san.
Why am I engaging in such a comedic exchange? I was thinking such foolish things when the Homeroom meeting began.
Well, it looks like this group of four is probably good for the school orientation.
I might end up being teased all the time, which is a bit bothersome, but it’s definitely better than feeling like I’m at a funeral.
I don’t remember it well anymore, but I think I became a “Loner Otaku” because I didn’t have any conversations or social interactions before.
