Volume 1 Chapter 3 Taking care of the uniform by washing and ironing is important

Summary of the previous chapter: Activation of the skill “Conversation with Girls” by a Cosplay Brothel employee

Now that school is over and I’m back home, I change out of my uniform into my loungewear.

Then, I hang the blazer and slacks on hangers, spray them with deodorant to remove any odors, and lightly brush along the fabric to remove dirt.

The blazer is fine, but since the slacks come into direct contact with the skin, I wash them on weekends.

The collar and cuffs of the shirt tend to get dirty, so I apply enzymatic detergent to dissolve the grease before putting it in the washing machine. To ensure that the dress shirt gets cleaned well, I fold it to fit the size of a washing net and put it in the machine inside out.

I put the detergent, bleach, and fabric softener in their designated places, select the hand-wash cycle, and set the spin time to about 30 seconds shorter to minimize wrinkles.

When cosplay clothes gets dirty, it’s normal to do laundry, so I’ve gotten used to doing this kind of laundry.

”Mom, where did we put the iron and ironing board?”

”Huh, do you iron your clothes yourself, not just do the laundry?”

”Yeah, it’s important, you know, ironing.”

 ”That’s true, but what happened?”

”Well, I think when you become a high school student, you have to care about how you look in front of others.”

”True, it’s different from when we were in junior high.”

No, before, I used to leave my clothes lying around and leave all the laundry to my mom.

Once the spin cycle is done, quickly take out the clothes from the washing machine, lightly dry them in the dryer, and also quickly take them out and shape them before hanging them on hangers.

Then just leave them for a while.

After having dinner, taking a bath, and doing some light studying, take the shirt off the hanger and iron it.

Put the shirt on the ironing board, lightly dampen it with a spray bottle, and then iron it.

Well, using only the steam function of the iron may not evenly moisten the fabric, making it difficult to remove wrinkles, so it’s better to use a spray bottle,.

And before ironing, it’s good to manually stretch and smooth out the entire fabric to get rid of small wrinkles.

If you don’t do this, the fabric might loosen, making wrinkles more likely to form.

While ironing, pull the fabric in the opposite direction with the hand not ironing the shirt to cleanly remove wrinkles.

”Well, is it something like this?”

 ”Oh, you’re ironing so well!”

”Nowadays, there are plenty of instructional videos to serve as examples.”

”We didn’t have such things in mother’s time; it’s become convenient.”

Well, the truth is, I got used to it because I diligently ironed in cosplay brothel.

With this, there should be no problem maintaining cleanliness in clothing.

Around here, especially guys don’t care much about it, though.

But thanks to that, I’ve become really good at things like replacing buttons and hooks, or fixing broken zippers.

Costumes are important products, so it’s not good if they’re all wrinkled and stuff.
