Now, I finished editing the promotional video for Patisserie Ando Trois and uploaded it.
For the necessary preparation and review, I created questions for Shinonome-san and Saikachi-san based on online questionnaires, printed them, and decided to sleep for the study session during tomorrow’s home economics club activity.
And then, the next Monday morning.
After I arrived at school, entered our class’s classroom, and greeted everyone as usual, I looked around the classroom. Nakagaito and Namiki-san were chatting happily.
It seems that because of the patisserie shoot yesterday, with Yayoi-chan joining in, I successfully brought the two together, chatting and eating cakes. Thanks to the luncheon technique, it could be considered a great success.
On the other hand, Shibata-san seemed to be playing with her smartphone.
To find out what she was doing, I went over to Shibata-san and tried to start a conversation.
”Good morning, Shibata-san. It’s not often I see you using your smartphone in the morning.”
When I said that, Shibata-san looked up, smiled, and replied.
”Oh, good morning, Hata-kun. I’m currently exchanging messages with Kashiyama-san.”
I nodded in response to her answer and said.
”I see, I understand. It’s nice to have someone of the same gender who shares the same interests and gets along well.”
”Yes, thank you for introducing me.”
It seems like things have been going well in various ways, and maybe I can finally feel settled now.
That’s what I thought, but it turns out I was a little too optimistic.
Namiki-san approached me after I left Shibata-san.
”Um, there’s something I would like to ask, Hata-kun… Is it okay if we talk?”
”Oh, sure, that’s fine. What would you like to ask?”
”I heard from Shizuka-chan that you’re really good at teaching.”
”Ah, you heard that from Nakagaito? Well, I’m confident that I can explain it in a way that’s easy to understand.”
”Hmm, then, could you teach me too…?”
”Well, sure, but what subject do you want me to teach you, Namiki-san?”
”Um… English.”
”English, huh? Alright, got it. By the way, are you okay with passages from high school textbooks and English words?”
”Well, not really… I’m not really okay with them. I managed to understand them until junior high school, though.”
”I see. High school English suddenly becomes more difficult. So, when should we study?”
I call out to Nakagaito.
”Hey, Nakagaito. Can you come over for a bit?”
”Hm? What’s up?”
Nakagaito says that and comes over to where I am.
”It’s tomorrow after school, but can I teach Namiki-san too?”
When I ask that, Nakagaito briefly makes a complicated expression but nods.
”Oh, yeah, I’m good with that.”
Nakagaito looked a bit sad, but since I’m busy too, I’ll just handle it.
”Hey, Namiki-san. Can you help us make YouTube videos? It’s just me and Nakagaito doing it right now.”
”Yeah, sure… Like the patisserie we did yesterday?”
”Yeah, but this time, I want you to talk a bit. Let’s study together tomorrow after school in the home economics room and film the video. Is that alright?”
When I asked, Namiki-san bowed deeply.
”Oh, um… Sorry… No, I’ll do my best.”
”Well, with a bit more help teaching, going from three to four won’t be much harder.”
If I’m teaching English, I’ll need to see how much they struggle and find the best way to teach. I’ll manage somehow.
And I hope everything will be okay somehow…
By the way, the questions I made for Saikachi-san at the study session during the after-school home economics club activities were liked by Saikachi-san herself.
”Thank you for doing this. It’s very easy to understand.”
”Well, if that’s the case, then it’s good.”
It took a little effort, but it was worth it.
