Volume 2 Chapter 27 It’s really scary how fast the girls’ communication network travels

So, apart from going to Comispa with Kashiyama-san in the summer, I ended up going to a small doujin event with Shibata-san. Then, I went firefly watching with Saikachi-san, and I decided to go camping in the mountains with Kokonoe-san.
But, planning an overnight camping trip might be difficult because we need to coordinate our schedules, including mine and Kokonoe-san’s parents.
Anyway, Shibata-san, Saikachi-san, and Kokonoe-san had a nice chat while eating cake until around 7 pm, but it’s time to end it now.
When we were leaving, Shibata-san thanked me.
”Hata-kun, thank you for today. Because of you, I feel like I can talk to the girls in our class now.”
”Well, I’m glad to hear that.”
Up until now, I’ve often seen her get along well with Kashiyama-san, but she seemed to be quiet in class.
”Um, if it’s okay, could you tell me when Shibata-san’s birthday is?”
”Oh, sure, my birthday is on September 7th.”
”Hmm, got it.”
”By the way, when is Kokonoe-san’s birthday?”
”Ohh, my birthday, it’s on January 21st.”
”Ahh, January. Thanks for telling me.”
”No, no, it’s not a problem at all.”
The three of them left the store first, and it was time for me to leave too.
”Good job today. Well, see you tomorrow.”
Ikurumi-san smiled and waved at me as we left.
”Yes, thank you. I’m looking forward to working with you again.”
I replied, and Kashiyama-san also said goodbye casually.
”Yeah, let’s do our best tomorrow too.”
”By the way, when is your birthday, Kashiyama-san?”
”Mine is on December 14th.”
I see, December 14th is kind of close to Christmas Eve, isn’t it?
”Oh, I get it. It’s not like we’re exactly the same, so we won’t be invited to the same party or anything.”
After saying goodbye to Kashiyama-san and getting home, my phone made a “ping” sound.
Huh? Did I receive a message on social messenger from someone?
The sender of the message was Fumi-chan.
[Atchan, I heard you’re planning to hang out with some girls from your class this summer?]
Huh?
How does Fumi-chan know about that?
Well, the girls’ network for communication and information is really big and fast.
Even if it seems like there’s no connection, information can still reach other people.
Well, I don’t really plan to hide it, so I’ll just answer honestly.
[Yeah, I’m thinking of going to a doujin event, watching fireflies, and camping in the mountains.]
[Hmm, then I want to go swimming with Atchan at the beach too.]
[Yeah, in the summer, it’s nice to swim in the ocean. But we have to make sure to go before the jellyfish come out before Obon.]
[Yeah, that’s true. If it’s just a short trip or staying overnight, it becomes busy. Let’s plan for a trip lasting two nights and three days to have a relaxed time.]
[In that situation, we need to discuss the schedule with my and Fumi-chan’s parents, right?]
[Maybe we should talk a little a couple of days before shopping. What do you think?]
[Yeah, it’s a good idea to talk about it early. I’ll talk to my parents when I get back.]

After the chat with Fumi-chan, I got a message from Yayoi-chan.
[Ak-kun, are you going out with girls from your class and neighbors during the summer break? Why didn’t you invite me?]
[Huh? No, I didn’t mean to… Yayoi-chan, do you want to go to TDR (Tokyo Destiny Resort) or something?]
[Oh, yeah! There are many summer-only rides like Tropical Splash, and a lot of places to eat. I really want to go.]
[Got it. I’ll adjust my plans a bit and let you know the date and time.]
[Yeah, looking forward to it!]
[By the way, Yayoi-chan’s birthday is on March 3rd, which is Hinamatsuri, right?]
[Yeah, that’s right. You remembered it well.]
[Well, yeah.]
I remember Yayoi-chan saying something about feeling a bit unlucky that her birthday coincides with Hinamatsuri.

[Yeah, I’ll try to contact you as soon as possible.]
I’m a bit undecided on whether I should invite Namiki-san to go somewhere or if it’s too early to make such a move.
