    Heroine Regret 112

    Edited by: Tiny Fan Fiction

Is there a girl from your family?

    “Nanami?”

Kitagami Yoru raises his head and looks intently at Aoyama Nanami, with their gazes intertwining in mid-air.

    “Hmm.”

Aoyama Nanami is initially surprised, her eyes darting shyly.

    “It’s so obvious she’s lying….”

Kitagami Yoru thinks quietly to himself.

Aoyama Nanami is cute and has a good personality; it’s really nice to be around her. She looks like someone who could easily be lying…

The best choice for a girlfriend, wouldn’t she?

    “What’s wrong?”

    “Can we… start now?”

Aoyama Nanami keeps staring at Kitagami Yoru, and her heart races.

She’s especially afraid that Kitagami Yoru might notice something strange about her, realizing she’s acting oddly.

    “Okay, let’s begin.”

Kitagami Yoru composes himself and speaks seriously.

The voice audition for Aoyama Nanami is so important; how could he possibly try to deceive this innocent girl?

At least, I’ll hold off on saying anything later.

    “Then let’s start, uh-huh.”

Aoyama Nanami clears her throat and grips the edge of the sofa tightly with her tense hands, her fingers digging in deeply.

“I don’t think my voice sounds like a girl’s. Could that be an issue?”

Kitagami Yoru says seriously, just a fleeting thought from earlier.

Aoyama Nanami ponders this, shaking her head lightly. She doesn’t really care much about it anyway.

Instead, she’s planning to use the dubbing lines later to sneakily tell Kitagami Yoru those lines of admission.

The dubbing content is a short story.

The story takes place at a well-known public high school.

The background involves two students who look down on each other, with a bit of rivalry; they develop feelings through their daily interactions. On Valentine’s Day, the male student makes his confession.

Naturally, it happens on Valentine’s Day.

All dialogue and actions occur in different scenarios.

Kitagami Yoru plays the role of that female classmate…

“Hey, glasses girl, you’re here so early. What’s up?”

    “Afraid I might beat you?”

Aoyama Nanami’s voice shifts as she uses her technique to deliver a line full of youthful charm.

The lines are filled with the naughtiness typical of high school students, delivered in perfect tone and pitch.

At least, Kitagami Yoru thinks so.

“I almost thought Nanami was someone else pretending.”

When she opens her mouth, Kitagami Yoru sees the familiar cute girl he knows, but hears a completely unfamiliar male voice from her lips.

Even though he had prepared for this, he can’t control his instinctive reaction. He thinks to himself in confusion.

    “Hmm….”

Following that, Kitagami Yoru lets out a light nasal hum.

According to the script, the female student simply hums and walks away.

Dubbing isn’t just about matching lines verbatim; you can adjust voice tone as needed.

You also need to perfectly capture the emotions and nuances of each character in different scenarios.

    “No, don’t ignore me?”

Aoyama Nanami paused slightly before lowering her gaze to think of the next line, gradually slipping into character.

Everything was proceeding smoothly and in order.

Dubbing a single line usually takes about ten minutes.

    Finally…

It was the turn of the male student played by Aoyama Nanami to confess.

The name she called out, even that of an imaginary girl, came naturally from her lips.

But sitting right in front of her was the person she liked, and as she played the role of someone accepting a confession, Aoyama Nanami’s CPU was on the verge of smoking from embarrassment.

It was clear that Aoyama Nanami’s current mental state wasn’t up to par, making it easy for Kitagami Yoru to make her blush.

The best solution would be to play some flirty games with Kitagami Yoru to build her confidence.

“Why did you call me here?”

    “Ugh… really…”

The scene was set during the sunset on a deserted rooftop, where the female genius was summoned first and saw only two people.

She knew today was Valentine’s Day, so her tone carried that complex mix of emotions.

Her face flushed with embarrassment, impatience, surprise, disgust, tension—all at once.

Kitagami Yoru struggled badly, his voice rough and unrefined, making it hard for him to get into character.

In contrast, Aoyama Nanami was about to deliver her next line, which was the confession.

“Nanami’s expression, her flushing face, those little gestures… she’s really getting into it.”

“Wow, that’s some great acting. So intense and emotional!”

Kitagami Yoru closed his mouth, thoughtfully observing the girl’s facial reactions before making his evaluation.

Aoyama Nanami’s natural performance was far superior to her over-the-top acting.

    “I can’t do it… I… I can’t say it.”

    “Well, Kitagami-san… and he…”

In his haste and anxiety, Aoyama Nanami couldn’t even finish her sentences, but Kitagami Yoru didn’t seem to notice.

    ……

    A few minutes later.

Aoyama Nanami’s delicate hands trembled slightly as she kept a watchful eye on Kitagami Yoru’s face, accepting the two printed lines.

“I’ll go now, Kitagami-san. See you tomorrow.”

Holding the printouts, Aoyama Nanami quickly stood up but nearly tripped.

    “Umm, see you tomorrow.”

Kitagami Yoru stretched and nodded lightly.

The embarrassed girl didn’t say anything else before she quickly scanned Kitagami Yoru with a complex expression and left.

“If this is true, it would be better.”

The harsh sunlight at midday hit Aoyama Nanami’s face, but she remained oblivious.

Her expression was blank with stupor and loss, her body stiff as she returned to the fourth-floor apartment.

She locked the door behind her, kicked off her shoes, and went straight to her bed.

Beside her pillow was the outfit she had just taken off.

    “Ah… uh…”

She leaned her arm over her forehead, closing her eyes as she exhaled a meaningless breath.

A moment later, she changed her position, rolling over and pulling the blanket up over her head to burrow into bed.

Not long after, she tossed the blanket aside, crossing her legs as she sat quietly in meditation.

Her expression was calm, giving no indication of anything amiss.

She maintained this state and position until a tingling sensation began to spread through her legs, prompting Aoyama Nanami to smile faintly and slap her own face.

No one knew how painful her heart was in such a short time.

    “Gigging… It’s fine, really. I still have chances…”

“Get ready for the exam; that’s the most important thing right now, Aoyama Nanami. You shouldn’t just let your mind wander.”

Forced a thin smile and lay back on her bed, giggling uncontrollably.

She didn’t know if she had recovered yet.

Suddenly, she caught sight of the new dress he had changed into.

Aoyama Nanami’s smile faded instantly, and she instinctively bit down on her cherry-pink lips.

The taste of that indescribable pleasure filled her again…

    ……..

    “Kitagami-san… Kitagami-san…”

    “Umm… Hmmm… Oh!”

    “Kitagami-san…”

Aoyama Nanami’s eyes wandered, calling out Kitagami Yoru’s name in a strange tone.

Meanwhile, Kitagami Yoru had said goodbye to Aoyama Nanami and spent some time playing with San-san before returning to bed and falling asleep quickly.

He slept fast and woke up just as quickly.

    About two hours later,

Kitagami Yoru sat on the edge of the bed, holding San-san while checking his phone.

The time was around 4 p.m. in the afternoon.

There was a message from Kitagawa Marin on LINE.

Bored or not, Kitagami Yoru planned to chat with her for a bit.

“I was napping, so I didn’t see your message.”

After sending, he received a reply within seconds.

“You only replied now? You mentioned it in the morning, and then you disappeared.”

    “Are you a salaryman?”

Kitagawa Marin typed quickly on her computer, opening the LINE window.

“No, and besides, I don’t really feel like replying right away.”

    Kitagami Yoru replied.

    “This is so frustrating…”

Kitagawa Marin stuck out her tongue in frustration for the first time since she was a child.

Other boys didn’t see her that way, did they?

“Get serious. Do you have more things to discuss?”

    Kitagami Yoru sent another message.

“Can we talk? Do you like ACG culture?”

Kitagawa Marin quickly typed a response and switched to the game, telling her teammates to wait for her.

“I only like 2D anime-style cute girls. What’s ACG culture about?”

Figuring that Kitagawa Marin didn’t know him well, Kitagami Yoru answered carelessly.

“If those cute anime-style girls weren’t around, would you still watch ACG?”

    “You… are so direct…”

Kitagawa Marin felt a bit confused and typed, “So, what do you think about cosplays? Like, how should I go about it.”

She had spent half a month making the cosplay and had Kitagami Yoru spray it with sparkles. Now she wanted to ask him something.

“I’ve said this before—either buy it or start with simple, stunning styles for cosplays.”

“To quickly gain popularity, you can cos as a charming demon, nun, or the main character of a hentai anime.”

“Do you like watching hentai anime?”

    “I prefer playing hentai games.”

Kato Megumi noticed the wet spot on the small sofa and went to get some drinks.

Kitagami Yoru walked into the kitchen without noticing anything unusual.

    “Is that so?”

Kato Megumi’s eyes lit up as she also likes it.

Kitagami Yoru felt a bit strange upon seeing these messages.

Just as he was about to reply, he heard the knock on the door.

He quickly grabbed San-san and went to open the door.

Kato Megumi set down her shoes before entering.

Meanwhile, Kitagawa Marin was interrupted again while chatting, so she apologized and said she’d chat another time.

Kitagami Yoru didn’t seem to mind this and replied quickly after putting away his phone.

Kato Megumi noticed the cup wasn’t cleaned properly and pointed it out.

“I’ll go get you some drinks.”

Kitagami Yoru didn’t pay attention to this and quickly went into the kitchen.

Kato Megumi examined the cup, seeing lipstick marks and residue from a kiss.

Her expression changed slightly as she whispered:

    “Did someone come over?”

Kitagami Yoru brought some drinks and fruits from the fridge without noticing anything.

Kato Megumi calmly put the cup back, saying the place was a bit messy.

Kitagami Yoru apologized with a smile, still not having time to clean up.

“Is it a friend who came over?”

“I’ve been feeling like Kitagami-senpai isn’t coming around as much anymore.”

Kato Megumi said with a hint of accusation in her tone.

She let out a small sigh.

Back then, Kitagami Yoru was always the one approaching her proactively.

Now that she’s lost weight, he seems less interested.

Kato Megumi can clearly sense something slipping away.

    “Huh?!”

An unexpected question caused Kitagami Yoru to hesitate for a moment before laughing and replying: “But my relationship with Aoyama hasn’t changed at all.”

    “Hmm, hmm.”

Kato Megumi lightly pressed her lips together, holding up the bag.

    “What’s this?”

Kitagami Yoru sat on a small chair.

“This is a gift from me—some pastries.”

Kato Megumi opened the bag and took out two boxes of desserts.

The previous Kitagami Yoru couldn’t eat them, but now she doesn’t mind occasionally.

    “Let’s share them.”

Kitagami Yoru said with a smile.

“You know, this hat was meant for you, wasn’t it?”

Kato Megumi nodded slightly, feeling a bit regretful.

Why didn’t she accept it back then?

The meaning changes when Kitagami Yoru gave it to her mother.

“Yes, later I gave it to my mom. It would look great on you.”

Kitagami Yoru stood up and added: “I’m going to the kitchen to boil water. I’ll be right back.”

The electric kettle in the kitchen was making a gurgling sound, with steam rising from its spout.

She unplugged it after opening the lid.

“We’ve got quite a few guests today.”

“Both Aoyama and Nanami would make great girlfriends.”

Kitagami Yoru isn’t stupid; she’s subtly aware of some things.

Both Aoyama Nanami and Kato Megumi seem to like themselves.

It’s almost like they have a crush on each other?

Realizing this, Kitagami Yoru has to face certain facts.

    Hmm….

What if he likes her and wants her for himself?

She struggled with it for a while before finally not returning from the kitchen. Kato Megumi quietly approached the door.
