    Heroine Regret 13

    Edited by: Tiny Fan Fiction

    It’s just like an angel.

The next day, the sun was high in the sky.

Kitakami Yoru, with heavy dark circles under her eyes and a chubby body, climbed out of bed. Her lower body felt heavy; a cold shower would do her good.

    “Ah~ Ha~”

Kitakami Yoru yawned, having spent the entire night pondering over things from last night.

She was almost asleep in the latter half of the night but suddenly thought about the golden treasure chest that appeared above Kasumigaoka Utah’s head.

The progress bar for the treasure chest had increased.

Kitakami Yoru thought of countless possibilities throughout the night, and finally concluded that,

it seemed like her progress bar would slowly increase whenever she was near Kasumigaoka Utah.

“Don’t even mention being together, from afar, I would go around to avoid her.”

    “That bad woman!”

Kitakami Yoru knew this was impossible and clenched her fists, gritting her teeth.

After venting out her frustration and anger, Kitakami Yoru quickly got up; she had important things to do today.

Pushing open the bedroom door, Kitakami Yoru was about to wash herself when she found a thick stack of cash and a small bag on the floor.

Inside were eye drops, throat lozenges, band-aids, and ointment.

Her body stiffened as she bent down to pick up the items on the floor: “Mom… Dad…”

Afterward, Kitakami Yoru put the things away and went downstairs to wash herself.

At this time, only Kitakami Yoru was home alone.

After washing up, Megumi (Mom) had left breakfast for Kitakami Yoru. She sat at the dining table and ate it while looking at her phone.

With school starting in a few days, Kitakami Yoru needed to find a place to live within these days.

Kitakami Yoru had some preferences for the location of her new home; it should be close to school, have nice surroundings, and have free parks nearby.

The house didn’t need to be luxurious; a small studio apartment would do, with an affordable rent.

In the area near Minato District, she should be able to find something suitable.

After breakfast, Kitakami Yoru took some money and went out.

Standing at the doorstep, Kitakami Yoru disliked the gloomy weather.

Taking a deep breath, she looked at herself from head to toe and realized that something was different about her.

She was still as chubby as ever; the difference must be in her mindset.

There was a lot more pressure and resentment now!

On her way, Kitakami Yoru tried to avoid any interactions with the opposite sex to prevent causing trouble.

She ended up at Shuuchiin Academy and was expelled from the school.

    ……

“This one won’t do, it’s too expensive.” Kitakami Yoru shook her head and took the train.

    Time passed quickly until lunchtime.

Yoru has been to several places and looked at a few houses. It’s either dissatisfaction with the room layout or the location is slightly off.

The house he just looked at had good location and rooms, but the rent was a bit expensive. He doesn’t need to work, so why rent near an office building?

“Next, in the area between Meguro River Area and Minao District.”

“Near Meguro Station, a large historical landmark park, a free scenic spot, Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum is inside……”

“But the address information left by the landlord is kind of hard to find…

Yoru sat in the corner of the train car, talking to himself as usual.

The train arrived, and Yoru got off.

He hurried to the residential area near that historical park.

Both the residential area and the Commercial Street were separately divided.

The landlord of this apartment left some vague address information without specifying exactly where it was,

only indicating how to get there and what landmarks to look for.

Yoru searched for almost half an hour, walked out of a nearby convenience store with a bottle of water in hand, complaining: “What kind of person is this, can’t even get in touch by phone.”

“Keep looking,” Yoru thought, feeling lucky it was an overcast day, otherwise he would be sweating all over.

The residential area was large and well-planned with wide roads for cars, bikes, and pedestrians; it was very clean.

The greenery was also well done.

It was noon now, and there were few people in the residential area; it was almost deserted.

Yoru thought about this as he turned a corner.

He was suddenly slapped in the face.

A petite girl with sky-blue eyes and dazzling golden hair walked towards him.

Yoru just glanced at her once, instinctively feeling a sense of closeness and comfort.

Then he quickly looked away and walked along the wall.

    “Strange, how can’t I find it…”

Ai muttered softly on her phone, noticing Yoru’s gaze and glancing over.

    “So fat!”

Slightly shocked, Ai acted like nothing happened and dismissed Yoru from her mind, leaving him with a turn.

    “It’s just a foreigner.”

Yoru thought to himself and continued searching.

    After fifteen minutes…

Yoru leaned against a telephone pole on the sidewalk, already giving up:

“Forget it, next one, no more searching.”

    “So tired~sigh~”

At this moment, a soft female voice suddenly came from behind him.

“Ah, Private Marseille (Private Marseille), Excuse me, how do I get there?”

Kitakami Yoru was a bit surprised and turned around to see that it was the outstandingly elegant and comfortable-looking girl.

She was slightly leaning forward, smiling very politely and looking at him.

    “Ah, that… what is it…?”

Kitakami Yoru was a bit stunned; he had never been spoken to by such a beautiful girl before.

Even though it was just asking for directions.

“Is this the place? Do you know?”

Gabriel showed her phone to Kitakami Yoru.

“Here… hey, are you also looking for this apartment? Are you renting a place?” Kitakami Yoru looked at the surprised Gabriel and showed his own phone.

    “You too?!”

Gabriel’s smile was warm, like it could dispel the clouds in the sky. Kitakami Yoru was a bit stunned.

“Uh huh.” Kitakami Yoru nodded subconsciously, not expecting that they had the same goal.

    “Well, I’m from over there…”

Gabriel pondered for a moment and told him where she had looked.

Kitakami Yoru exchanged information with Gabriel.

Together, they had walked through most of the residential area and still couldn’t find it.

But then it became easier to find.

“Since we have the same goal, do you want to look together?”

Gabriel looked up at Kitakami Yoru’s extremely obese weight with some curiosity.

Having just arrived in the country, she found everything quite interesting.

Looking for it together would be faster.

    “What…?”

Kitakami Yoru’s first reaction was that he had misheard and looked at Gabriel suspiciously.

“Let’s go, we’ll find it soon.” Gabriel said with some annoyance as she turned around.

Kitakami Yoru still stood under the power pole, looking at Gabriel’s back, feeling incredible.

Such a kind and polite foreign girl was like a pure angel!

In most of the girls in his country, they would definitely want to stay far away from him.

Japanese society was not friendly to shut-ins, especially for high school students at this age full of youthful hormones.

But Kitakami Yoru heard that the fairies were more numerous and terrifying next door.

After hesitating, Kitakami Yoru followed her, silently following behind Gabriel.

Gabriel would ask a few questions from time to time, looking like she didn’t know much about Japan. Kitakami Yoru answered them one by one.

    Soon after…

The two of them found the apartment and the landlord.

The landlord is an elderly lady who is a bit forgetful, so she doesn’t remember the address very clearly.
