    Heroine Regret 150

    Edited by: Tiny Fan Fiction

    The great secret.

    “Huh? Kitagami-san, are you serious?”

Ebina Hina expresses a look of surprise.

“So I’m going to let you guess…”

Kitagami Yoru’s drowsiness fades as he converses with Ebina Hina.

    “I bet it’s fake.”

He turns around and looks at Ebina Hina, who then sits back on the bed and laughs.

    “Congratulations, you guessed correctly.”

Kitagami Yoru flips over and gets up to go wash his face.

“At least ten? Do you think so?”

As he speaks, Ebina Hina removes his clothes and unties his hair, aiming to restore his usual composed appearance.

    Who should he dress for?

“This joke is too big. I don’t even have a girlfriend, so talking about ten is impossible….”

Kitagami Yoru lowers his head and takes a sip of water.

“Seven can unlock the Seven Dragon Balls.”

    “Kitagami-san.”

Just a few seconds later, Ebina Hina transforms completely into someone entirely different from before.

“If I say I have six girlfriends and can’t reach seven, will you join me?”

Kitagami Yoru responds irritably. He squeezes toothpaste on his brush and prepares to brush his teeth.

“Ah? That’s completely fine, of course.”

“Wait until you have one, then talk about it, you good-for-nothing Kitagami-san….”

On the phone, Ebina Hina smirks triumphantly.

“Your tone sounds like Miura Yumiko’s.”

Just as Kitagami Yoru is about to hang up, three dark lines appear on his face.

Oh, it’s Yumiko sneaking over to tell me about your crush.

Ebina Hina subtly shifts the blame onto her good sister.

    It’s true enough.

    But only mentioned a few times… .

“Only she would call me a ‘man-child’?”

On Kitagami Yoru’s side, an image of a powerful queen with imposing legs and a commanding green eyes, along with her fair skin and beautiful golden hair, appears in his mind.

He has certainly called him names like ‘man-child’ and insulted him.

It’s no surprise coming from someone who acts so superior every day but hides her true self behind it.

“It’s not my fault; I brushed my teeth to avoid missing the chance.”

“Ugh, I hope you’re not lying to me. Isn’t a big secret not fake?”

    Kitagami Yoru asks again.

“I’m lying; I’ll take you as my girlfriend—this is a real deal, isn’t it?”

Ebina Hina knows well enough about Kitagami Yoru’s understanding of her.

Such words coming from him aren’t fake.

    “You’re so confident….”

    Kitagami Yoru mutters to himself.

After hanging up the phone, he suddenly realizes how Ebina Hina got his number.

    It’s strange….

    “Probably from Yuigahama-san, right?”

This small incident makes Kitagami Yoru forget about it.

“Telling you that Yui likes you is already a big secret.”

After hanging up the phone, Ebina Hina starts packing her bag.

She accidentally sold her best friend.

Actually, it’s a form of help for Yui.

“Yui really likes Kitagami-san, but she doesn’t have the courage to say anything.”

“Poor child. I’ll help her, but only if I can ask for her opinion.”

“She’s either blushing or getting angry.”

Ebina Hina is wearing black cotton thigh-high socks and muttering to herself.

    The time is 7:55 PM.

Shinjuku, as one of Tokyo’s most important transportation hubs.

It’s a must-choose destination for every tourist visiting Tokyo, except those going to specific places.

“Why was I called here as a shield? Where is the person?”

“Aren’t we supposed to meet at eight?”

At the station, Kitagami Yoru swipes her card and sits in a corner, occasionally looking around.

While waiting at the station entrance.

Hayama Hayato, Tobe Kakeru, Ooka Yamato appear together here, all looking towards something.

    The three girls are late.

Miura Yumiko, Yuigahama Yui, and Ebina Hina arrive late.

“Oh no, Yumiko, Hina, Yui, you’re just now arriving.”

“We’ve been waiting for a while. Why are you just now coming?”

Tobe Kakeru jumps out and dramatically gestures, shouting.

    “Aren’t you late? Good morning.”

    “Good morning, Hayato.”

Miura Yumiko glares at Tobe Kakeru with a bad mood and greets her companions before staring at Hayama Hayato.

After greeting, Ebina Hina raises her hand to attract everyone’s attention.

“Ah, I have something to say.”

Ebina Hina smiles at the four boys.

Earlier, the three of them should have arrived on time.

It’s because Ebina Hina wanted to delay things a bit by bringing this up.

“Hina wouldn’t be liking Kitagami Yoru, would she?”

    “She was……”

“Well, if she likes him, let her. It’s even a good thing….”

Miura Yumiko crossed her arms as she lightly scraped her nails across the snow-white, delicate skin. Her presence was commanding.

“Hina and Kitagami-san’s relationship must have gotten so much better recently….”

    “She……”

The most shocking part was undoubtedly Yuigahama Yui.

Just the other day, she told her mother that she didn’t like Kitagami Yoru much and had barely any feelings for him.

Then the next day, she did a mock confession, with her heart racing uncontrollably…

    “Anything wrong?”

Tobe Kakeru was particularly concerned about Ebina Hina and opened his mouth first.

Beside him, Hayama Hayato smiled in agreement.

“I called another person too, to join us. You won’t mind, will you?”

Ebina Hina raised her hand and then let it drop as she turned to search for Kitagami Yoru’s figure.

    She quickly scanned the area…

    “Strange…. I don’t see anyone here.”

“Was he late or just blowing me off? That doesn’t make sense.”

Not seeing him, Ebina Hina meticulously searched the area around Shinjuku Station.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, the few boys standing nearby—Hayama Hayato among them—looked at each other and exchanged glances.

Given how things have developed, it’s hard to refuse unless Ebina Hina calls someone who would be completely unacceptable.

It gives everyone an excuse to leave.

So then Ebina Hina isn’t crazy.

Looking at Miura Yumiko and Yuigahama Yui, both wearing the same knowing expression, they must have agreed to it.

    “Clack-clack-clack.”

“Who are you? Do we know each other?”

“Hina, is that your friend? Male or female?”

Tobe Kakeru’s body suddenly trembles, and his smile, which he’d been holding, disappears instantly.

His gut feeling tells him something’s wrong.

The person Ebina Hina called over definitely doesn’t seem right.

    Could it be a boy?

    “Kitagami Yoru?!”

Tobe Kakeru has been paying close attention to the situations of Ebina Hina and Kitagami Yoru, and this name suddenly comes to mind.

    His expression darkens.

    “Who are you?”

Hayama Hayato asks at that moment.

    “It must be Kitagami Yoru.”

Miura Yumiko scratches her cheek with a bored tone, twirling her golden hair as she speaks.

When Miura Yumiko says that, several of the boys’ expressions change quickly.

Hayama Hayato and his friends are handling it well, though a bit unexpectedly.

How did Ebina Hina and Kitagami Yoru suddenly become so close?

Tobe Kakeru’s reaction is the strongest, barely maintaining his expression as he feels a mix of sadness, shock, and anxiety.

    “Why hasn’t Kitagami-san come yet?”

“I already told him to meet at eight. We bought tickets for the 8:30 Keihin line.”

Ebina Hina ignores the boys’ reactions and continues observing the surrounding pedestrians.

    Looking for Kitagami Yoru’s figure.

“This time of day, he probably won’t come, right?”

“Maybe we should go? Time is running out!”

Tobe Kakeru pretends to be Kitagami Yoru but unfortunately says, looking directly at Hayama Hayato.

Hayama Hayato first checks the time and then speaks for Tobe Kakeru: “It seems he won’t come. Let’s go.”

“Wait a minute, let’s wait five more minutes. No rush.”

Ebina Hina starts to get anxious.

    “I’ll stick with you, Hina.”

Yuigahama Yui inserts herself into the conversation.

On one hand, she likes Kitagami Yoru; on the other, she’s waiting for her best friend.

    “I’ll wait too.”

Miura Yumiko doesn’t seem to care about Kitagami Yoru at all. He…

Basically, he just doesn’t give a damn.

Tobe Kakeru immediately complains, hesitantly looking around the station but ultimately stays in line.

People are getting more worried and anxious, fearing Kitagami Yoru might appear any second.

Ebina Hina paces back and forth, deciding to call to check on the situation.

“Did you just stand me up without telling me?”

After a smooth connection, Ebina Hina hears Kitagami Yoru’s voice and lets out a breath.

Upon learning that Kitagami Yoru has already arrived, she’s so frustrated her eyes almost pop out.

“I was just worried about me… It’s funny.”

    “Kitagami-san is a reliable person.”

She quietly thinks to herself, recalling the previous conversation that everyone heard.

    Tobe Kakeru looks really upset.

“I see he arrived early. Let’s go inside.”

Miura Yumiko grew a little impatient and decided to speak up.

A group of people set off toward the station.

Tobe Kakeru’s footsteps were light and floating, clearly not fully focused. He almost bumped into a pedestrian.

    At the very end.

Ebina Hina actively found Yuigahama Yui and playfully squeezed her shoulder, then said with a smile: “Yui, I called Kitagami-san over. Won’t you not mind?”

“Huh? No, that’s not right, Hina. Why would you say that?”

Yuigahama Yui was so happy she couldn’t contain it. How could she be sad?

“Oh, I almost forgot. You and Kitagami-san are part of the Service Club; they get along well.”

    “Ha ha, Yui……”

Ebina Hina began to probe playfully.

    “What’s going on?”

    Yuigahama Yui’s puzzled questioning.

“Kitagami-san is so handsome and charming, Yui doesn’t like Kitagami-san at all?”

Ebina Hina was actually 95% certain that Yuigahama Yui liked Kitagami Yoru.

“Why would you ask that? Ha ha……”

After a pause, Yuigahama Yui revealed her true thoughts when she answered.

She also began to feel tense.

Recently, Hina and Kitagami Yoru-san’s relationship has become so close, and they even went out together to play in Chiba.

Could it be that Hina likes Kitagami-san too?

    “Oh?!”

Thinking about this, Yuigahama Yui found it hard to believe her own judgment.

    If… what would happen then?

“I can help you. How about that?”

Hina Ebina says a phrase that shocks Yui Yuigahama.

    “You’re helping me?”

As Yui Yuigahama utters these words, she also reveals her true thoughts completely.

    “Yui, you really are… oh.”

Hina Ebina realizes she hasn’t made a mistake.

“But what about you? Don’t you like Kitagami Yoru?”

For her slip of the tongue, Yui Yuigahama feels deeply regretful.

Luckily, they’re walking slowly, so Miura Yumiko is far ahead alone.

“Who said I like Kitagami Yoru?”

Hina Ebina wants to laugh, but she holds it in.

To make Tobe Kakeru understand her meaning, even if it’s a misunderstanding.

Yui Yuigahama already thinks this way; can Tobe Kakeru understand?

    “What?”

With a doubtful voice, Yui Yuigahama stares blankly at Hina Ebina.

She sees some shadows from her past…

    At the station.

On the side of the Keihin line platform, Miura Yumiko searches around and finally spots Kitagami Yoru in the corner.

Today is a day out, going to Chiba.

Normally, wearing casual clothes with sneakers would be best for comfort while walking.

They also provide some protection for your feet.

Despite this, Miura Yumiko decides to go against her own style.

She wears a casual mini skirt with black tights and white ankle boots.

This outfit, combined with the “JK” charm of the golden-haired girl, guarantees a high return rate when she turns around.

In Kitagami Yoru’s line of sight, a dark shadow suddenly appears.

Looking up, you notice Miura Yumiko, who’s both fiery and authoritative, walking over.

“So, you’re here. It seems Hina is getting along well with you.”

    Miura Yumiko says.

    “Well, what about the others?”

Kitagami Yoru stands up and smacks his ass before asking.

    “Over there.”

Miura Yumiko doesn’t intend to talk much more. She looks back.

A short while later, the group is all gathered.

Kitagami Yoru and Yuigahama Yui, along with Ebina Hina, exchange greetings with their close friends.

Hayama Hayato and Tobe Kakeru join in with a simple nod.

“So today’s main thing isn’t just being a shield, right?”

‘What kind of huge secret is that?’

Muttering to himself, Kitagami Yoru follows Ebina Hina and sits beside her.

The seating arrangement has people sitting both above and below. There aren’t many empty spots left.

Kitagami Yoru manages to secure a compartment with three others in the same car.

The remaining people either have seats or move to another car.

“There are so many people here, right? In Chiba, country towns like this don’t usually see so many visitors, do they?”

With a hint of Tokyo’s casual arrogance, Miura Yumiko lazily glances at Kitagami Yoru while scrolling through her phone.

She’s browsing short videos and shopping on e-commerce platforms.

Bored Kitagami Yoru chats with Ebina Hina, ignoring Miura Yumiko as if she’s not even there.

The train ride takes about an hour and a half on the Keihin line.

Arriving at Chiba Prefecture’s Chiba City, it’s surprisingly close by.

Tokyo’s status as the capital doesn’t make it superior; Chiba, with just a few major cities, is no less impressive.

Even under the feet of the imperial court, things won’t be too bad!
