    Heroine Regret 155

    Rainbow Slide Incident

    “Hmm?”

Turning back, Miura Yumiko saw the person speaking was Kitagami Yoru, and her expression changed immediately.

“Am I scared of heights? What’s it got to do with you?”

    “Sighed…”

“Two people per group. You won’t play, so we’ll play.”

Kitagami Yoru ignored Miura Yumiko’s protests and pointed at the sign, then looked toward Ebina Hina.

“Okay, okay! Yumiko, are you sure you really don’t want to play?”

Ebina Hina nodded slightly, looking determined as she asked again.

This rainbow slide project allows each person only once.

She and Kitagami Yoru sat together, so they couldn’t accompany Miura Yumiko.

“I… I’ll think about it. You two go ahead.”

Miura Yumiko hesitated for a moment, the slide’s steep slope appearing in her mind.

Even though she was a bit scared, she still wasn’t brave enough to play.

“Scared is scared. You’re just saying you don’t want to play.”

    Kitagami Yoru rolled his eyes.

“Kitagami Yoru, what are you even saying?”

“Who’s scared of playing this? I’m just not feeling well, that’s why.”

    “You understand, don’t you? Disgusted!”

Miura Yumiko glared at Kitagami Yoru’s comments with a look of displeasure.

Kitagami Yoru gave her an exaggeratedly slouched expression and turned to Ebina Hina, saying, “Let’s queue up.”

    “Alright!”

“Kitagami-san, were you with Yui earlier?”

    Ebina Hina gave a thumbs-up.

Now, Miura Yumiko is extremely angry, her lips pressed tightly together as she glares at Kitagami Yoru.

“They’ve separated her. She’s all alone.”

Kitagami Yoru explains casually and walks toward the edge of the slide.

“I’ll go find Yui. Hina, just be careful not to let those annoying people deceive you.”

At this moment, Miura Yumiko looks at Ebina Hina and says something.

As soon as she speaks, the arrogant gold-haired girl turns her head and walks away.

She tosses her hair carelessly over her shoulder, casting a fleeting glance at Kitagami Yoru’s perfect side profile.

Her feet step forward, but Miura Yumiko suddenly feels something is off in her mind.

She quickly turns around and stares intently at Kitagami Yoru. Due to the angle, she takes a few cautious steps toward him.

    “This… This isn’t right… It’s so high…. Gag.”

    “I… I’m feeling really dizzy….”

Kitagami Yoru’s expression freezes on his face. In his heart, he regrets suggesting they both sit on the rainbow slide together.

    He isn’t afraid of heights.

But he is afraid of getting dizzy.

Even from far away, Kitagami Yoru doesn’t feel much; it’s probably just a slightly elevated slide.

Upon getting closer, he looks down and realizes…

    “It’s a roller coaster…. Ugh…. Ugh…..”

Just standing on the edge, before he even sat down, Kitagami Yoru recalled the time in the amusement park.

He was dominated by the fear of the roller coaster and vomited non-stop.

The world was spinning and he couldn’t even walk because Yukinoshita Yukino laughed at him.

Kitagami Yoru, who was terrified, suddenly felt uncomfortable and wanted to vomit.

At the last moment, he held back and took a deep breath.

As the saying goes, once bitten by a snake, you will be afraid of the rope for ten years.

This old saying has no truth and cannot appear in modern society.

It’s like a person who is carsick. Even if he thinks that he is going to take a car, he hasn’t even seen the shadow of the car.

But his body will instinctively feel uncomfortable, dizzy, retching, nausea and drooling.

    “Well, forget it.”

After taking a deep breath, Kitagami Yoru suddenly turns his neck sharply, almost colliding with Miura Yumiko as she approaches him.

A faint, clear scent permeates the air.

    Both are startled by it.

    “Kitagami-san, Yumiko, what’s going on?”

Ebina Hina approaches curiously to ask.

“Miura-san, you scared me. Are you okay?”

Kitagami Yoru seems to have forgotten his earlier thoughts about someone mocking the golden-haired girl for not daring to play the project.

“You’re the one who scared me!”

Miura Yumiko steps back, scolding him and then sarcastically remarks:

“Looking at your expression, you don’t dare to play it either?”

    “Oh, your face is red.”

Kitagami Yoru merely nods lightly before pointing towards Miura Yumiko’s bold face.

    Almost a collision.

“Kitagami Yoru, don’t misunderstand. It wasn’t you who scared her.”

A hint of shyness in his heart prompts Kitagami Yoru to point it out, allowing Miura Yumiko to escalate the scolding.

Attempting this way to cover herself with a sense of modesty again.

“Stop arguing, Kitagami-san and Yumiko. Just talk things out.”

“Can’t you just get along and have a conversation?”

Ebina Hina intervenes timely to mediate, affectionately pulling at Kitagami Yoru’s arm while standing directly in front of Miura Yumiko.

    However.

    The proportions are well-maintained.

The fullness of her chest is barely contained, almost as if it might collapse under its own weight, yet she still manages to hold Kitagami Yoru’s arm steady.

    “You… Hina….”

Miura Yumiko’s words are interrupted by the unexpected sight before her.

Ebina Hina, acting as a caring sister, is seen laughing and joking while affectionately holding Kitagami Yoru’s hand.

She hasn’t even properly shaken hands with Hayama Hayato yet.

    That’s… not possible.

    It feels too…

    “Are you serious?”

Miura Yumiko exaggeratedly opens her mouth, pointing at the couple engaged in intimate behavior.

“Kitagami-san, are you going to play this with me?”

Ebina Hina plays it cool, confidently approaching Yumiko and blinking playfully before asking Kitagami Yoru again.

    “No… I guess not.”

These are just faces; Kitagami Yoru outright refuses.

“Ah…. I can only ask someone else.”

Ebina Hina truly wants to play this.

“You yourself aren’t even brave enough to play, and yet you have the audacity to mock me. How dare you!”

Miura Yumiko’s eyes flash with determination, instinctively twisting her golden hair with her fingers.

“I’m brave enough to play, but will you join me?”

Kitagami Yoru has made up his mind; Miura Yumiko is definitely not going to agree.

So he uses reverse psychology and, after finishing his statement, pulls away from the soft, sweet scent of the girls’ bodies.

“I’m brave enough. What’s there to be afraid of?”

A few groups of tourists have slid down one by one, but Miura Yumiko refuses to back down and retorts sharply.

“Thump, close your eyes and don’t look, it should be fine.”

“With so many people sliding down, I won’t get into trouble either… It’s very safe….”

Before the words even left her mouth, she began to comfort herself mentally, preparing for the worst.

Miura Yumiko drew her bowstring, unable to avoid it. Her personality is so polite that she wouldn’t change her word.

    “Are you sure?”

The girl quickly agreed, surprising Kitagami Yoru.

    “Hina, I’m really sorry.”

Miura Yumiko looked at Ebina Hina and said that.

Those words already made her intentions clear.

The staff member stood quietly by, crossing their arms, and finally decided.

“After walking all day in these boots, the feet must be smelly as hell.”

    “Gurgles… I’m so dizzy….”

Following the staff member’s instructions, Kitagami Yoru, who had been arguing with Miura Yumiko without reason, was placed in line.

Lowering her gaze, she looked at Miura Yumiko’s pair of snow-white legs. Kitagami Yoru sneaked a look in his mind.

    “Kitagami Yoru, almost there.”

Seeing fewer people ahead, Miura Yumiko turned around and said.

The entranced Kitagami Yoru didn’t react immediately.

    “Kitagami Yoru?!”

Miura Yumiko slightly furrowed her beautiful willow eyebrows, following Kitagami Yoru’s gaze as he looked at her legs. She tapped one foot lightly.

    “Paddle!”

The sound snapped Kitagami Yoru out of his daze, and he awkwardly met her gaze.

    “I get it now, haha.”

He forced a casual laugh to lighten the mood.

“You were checking me out, weren’t you? Is my leg impressive?”

Miura Yumiko’s sharp gaze interrogates, seeming a bit angry.

    Actually…

    There wasn’t anything.

She sometimes gets bored in class and secretly looks at Kitagami Yoru’s.

And having such a handsome guy look, she can feel his approval.

    “How about Ebina-san? I’ll compare.”

Kitagami Yoru straightforwardly admits to looking.

To lie smoothly, he makes up an excuse and confidently scans Ebina Hina’s legs with a flippant mutter.

    “You dirty dog.”

Ebina Hina doesn’t cooperate at all, crossing her legs firmly.

    “Stop it, we’re both fine-looking!”

    “Stupid eyes!”

Miura Yumiko gets a little more foolish by the minute—she’s not possible to have zero social skills.

During their conversation, they’ve already been moved to another location.

“Sit properly, keep your hands on the armrest—it won’t happen.”

“Make sure your helmet’s on and secure the bag.”

The staff member, unimpressed by Kitagami Yoru and Miura Yumiko’s evident fear and resistance, mutters a brief advice to himself before handing each of them a safety helmet.

    “Thank you.”

Polite, synchronized responses from both Miura Yumiko and Kitagami Yoru leave them momentarily stunned.

“Now that you’ve changed your mind, it’s too late.”

Kitagami Yoru forces himself to speak calmly after putting on his helmet.

“Just take care of yourself better.”

Miura Yumiko doesn’t respond, tossing her golden hair back over her shoulder, sending it swinging toward Kitagami Yoru’s face.

I didn’t notice anything. It shouldn’t have been intentional.

After securing her helmet, she looked over at Yoru with a concerned expression.

    “Ugh!”

Her legs began to tremble slightly, and her heart suddenly felt like it was floating. She couldn’t bear it.

    “Huh… huh… huh….”

The sound of Yoru’s heavy breathing echoed in her ears as she tried to mimic him.

It was Yoru who seemed the most uncomfortable, not Yumiko.

    Why?

She thought it was just Yumiko’s fear that needed to be overcome.

He was struggling both physically and mentally. His throat felt scratchy, and he was drooling excessively, almost gagging.

“Remember to hold the railing.” The staff reminded her one last time.

On the sliding ship, there’s a divider in the middle to prevent physical contact.

Yumiko was in front, and Yoru was behind. Both of them looked terrible.

    “Ugh… ugh….”

Just as they were about to slide down, Yoru closed his eyes tightly and gripped the railing.

Worried Hina ran over helplessly, her face twisted in frustration.

The staff then released their grip, allowing the sliding ship to move slowly along the grassy track before accelerating sharply down a steep slope.

A strong gust of wind hit Yumiko’s face, sending her hair flying toward Yoru.

    “Oh!”

She was scared and finally couldn’t hold back a high-pitched scream.

Yoru kept his mouth tightly closed, as opening it would cause him to gag.

The slide felt much shorter than she expected.

    About ten seconds later.

    They entered the braking phase.

    Below are staff on duty.

After the slide ship gradually stabilizes, Kitagami Yoru finally dares to open his eyes, only to have his vision spin wildly and his face turn pale.

    “Ah… uh… uh….”

Following that, Miura Yumiko opens her sharp eyes, instantly widening in shock and gasping for air.

    “It’s fine, take it slow.”

The staff kindly hands over two grimy vomit bags.

Kitagami Yoru quickly snatches them without even having time to thank them.

    His mouth is literally watering.

    “Yumiko, I’ll help you.”

Ebina Hina arrives late, looking at their faces with a sigh, and first helps Miura Yumiko up.

    “Hmm.”

Miura Yumiko’s entire body is trembling, lightly shaking as she stands up and steps out of the slide ship.

The slide path has seven lanes, and the staff doesn’t rush, instead actively assisting Kitagami Yoru.

His stomach churns violently, his head spinning in a daze. When Kitagami Yoru steps out of the slide ship, he stumbles and nearly falls.

He waits for a while before burping up a mouthful of bile and suddenly starts vomiting.

    “Cough… cough… “

A violent coughing spell causes his eyes to water and blood to trickle down.

He bends over, gripping his knees while trying to steady his breathing.

Not caring about face or dignity anymore….

“It’s too much… I swear next time I won’t do anything like that.”

From a young age, he’s been prone to motion sickness, so Kitagami Yoru doesn’t realize his body would react this strongly.

He never tried it before, but now he knows.

“Kitagami-san, don’t worry. How about some water?”

    “I’ll go buy.”

Ebina Hina, one hand resting on Kitagami Yoru’s shoulder and the other gently patting his back, exchanged.

    Alleviating Kitagami Yoru’s discomfort.

    “Snort.”

Spitting out a mouthful of water, Kitagami Yoru tilted his head and took a deep breath as fresh air filled his lungs.

    Carrying a faint sweetness.

The air seemed to be filled with sweetness.

    “Thank you, I’m fine.”

Kitagami Yoru barely recovered and turned toward Miura Yumiko.

She was looking at him as well.

They exchanged a silent glance with perfect understanding without speaking.

“The two of you, how should I address you?”

“You rest, and I’ll go buy some drinks.”

Ebina Hina gave a final reminder to Miura Yumiko before quickly walking away.

    “Miura-san, was it that bad?”

After the girl left, Kitagami Yoru straightened up and moved slightly to the side, addressing Miura Yumiko.

    “Be better than her.”

Miura Yumiko blinked in disbelief, not wanting to argue with Kitagami Yoru at all.

“You and Kasumigaoka Utaha are both so annoying.”

    Kitagami Yoru continued speaking.

“Why would you mention her, Kasumigaoka Utaha?”

Miura Yumiko paused slightly and turned toward the direction where Ebina Hina had left.

“Did someone say that after losing weight, you secretly went to Kasumigaoka Utaha? Was it really you or just a rumor?”

    “Snort… snort.”

The sound of his laughter echoed clearly.

He let out a few chuckles before speaking: “You’re not here to ask about Ebina-san and my relationship, are you?”

“I’ll tell you how it is.”
