Bored Gabriel
The clouds gathered, and the sky turned dark as small raindrops began to fall.
Kitagami Yoru opened the door, shook the water droplets off his umbrella, and went inside after changing into slippers.
“Meow~”
It seemed San-san sensed the low mood of its owner and began rubbing against Kitagami Yoru’s pants.
“Are you here to comfort me?”
“But I’m not sad, my situation is much better than before, it’s just that my mind is in a mess…
Looking at San-san by his feet, Kitagami Yoru smiled gently, casually tossed his bag onto the couch, and picked up San-san in both hands.
The plump cat’s lively amber eyes moved non-stop as it flirted with Kitagami Yoru.
“Really, you’re such a brat.” Kitagami Yoru laughed and sat down on the couch, petting the cat.
He didn’t feel like doing anything, nor was he in the mood to do so; he just sat there quietly quietly.
The rain outside grew stronger and then gradually subsided…
After an unknown amount of time, the sun finally pierced through the thick clouds and cast its evening glow over bustling Tokyo.
Kitagami Yoru put down San-san, went to the kitchen to wash some fruit, and turned on the bath heater.
Then he took a hot bath and started his weight loss exercise.
When he returned to the living room, Kitagami Yoru sat for a while before Gabriel knocked on the door.
“What’s wrong, Gabriel?” Kitagami Yoru stood by the door, curiously asking as he looked at Gabriel.
“My TV at home is broken, I’m a bit bored, can I come over and hang out?” With wide eyes and an adorable expression, Kitagami Yoru couldn’t resist saying yes.
“Come in.” Kitagami Yoru stepped aside and invited Gabriel inside.
“Sorry for the intrusion~”. Gabriel smiled politely as she entered.
“Feel free to sit, I’m going to take a bath now, and later we can go out for dinner together.” Kitagami Yoru said as he sat down with Gabriel in the living room.
“San-san is so adorable, did it gain some weight?” Gabriel noticed San-san lying on the couch, almost round like a ball.
“It’s not that fat, I’ll get some fruit and drinks.” Kitagami Yoru replied.
Gabriel held San-san in her soft lap, glanced around Kitagami Yoru’s cozy home.
“It’s very warm and comfortable here.”
Soon, Kitagami Yoru came out with the snacks and sat beside Gabriel.
“By the way, Kitagami-san, how do you usually pass time when you’re alone?”
Gabriel played with San-san in her arms, making various poses and looking at Kitagami Yoru.
She thought life on Earth was pretty good, and she enjoyed spending time at school.
But after completing her regular reports to heaven, she had nothing else to do.
As Gabriel was an angel, she didn’t need to study hard like humans.
“This thing… I usually spend my time playing games, but now I don’t play anymore.”
Kitagami Yoru replied without thinking, and then added:
“Using games to pass the time is a great choice; many people can’t live without them in their daily lives.”
“Games?” Gabriel paused her actions, her eyebrows twitching.
“I remember that many boys in our class talk about games during break time.”
“People who aren’t familiar with each other can become very close friends and enjoy chatting together.”
Seeing Gabriel show interest, Kitagami Yoru stood up and said: “I have plenty of games; if you want to play, I can lend them to you.”
Upon hearing this, Gabriel nodded excitedly and watched as Kitagami Yoru walked back to his room.
The room was small but clean and well-organized by its owner.
Kitagami Yoru bent down with some difficulty and dragged a large storage box from under the bed.
When opened, it contained various game cartridges and discs, neatly organized in plastic bags.
“These aren’t suitable for Gabriel to play…”
“Hide them better; what if they get discovered later?”
Kitagami Yoru suddenly looked around nervously.
Some of the games were rated R16 and R18.
“Games seem interesting, right?” Gabriel petted her cat while watching Kitagami Yoru bring out a Switch and some cartridges.
“This is a gaming console, these are the cartridges; if you want to play, insert one. If you don’t like it, there are also games on your phone and computer, I can recommend them to you.”
He chose adventure-type game cartridges that he enjoyed.
“Thank you, but are there different types of games?” Gabriel asked with curious eyes.
Kitagami Yoru explained briefly and thought to himself that Gabriel was truly innocent about the world.
“You don’t know anything about games?”
…
“It’s probably evening.”
Due to the overcast sky, it wasn’t time for night yet.
But the sky was already dark.
Tokyo is a bustling world-class metropolis, and Minato District is one of Tokyo’s three wealthiest areas.
Kitagami Yoru and Gabriel were having dinner outside a restaurant near Hibiya Park,
sitting here, they could still gaze upon the beautiful Tokyo Tower night view in the distance.
“But…”
“Gabriel, this beef seems quite expensive; are you really treating me?” Kitagami Yoru touched his stomach and felt very hungry after spending over an hour with the girl.
“Yes… for…”
Gabriel’s mouth was stuffed with beef, nodding unclearly.
As the most outstanding graduate of Angel School, Gabriel now receives a very generous allowance.
At her normal rate of spending, she could save half each month and easily afford this wagyu beef.
“Then I won’t be polite.”
Kitagami Yoru’s family background is not bad, but he only eats wagyu occasionally.
And he usually buys it home to cook himself, rarely eating at fancy restaurants like this.
After swallowing hard, Kitagami Yoru picked up a piece of wagyu and put it in his mouth.
His tongue gently glided over the thick marbling of the beef, with rich fat dispersing, creating a delightful aroma that collided within his mouth as the meat melted in his mouth.
The high-quality ingredients and perfect cooking made Kitagami Yoru’s taste buds dance, blissfully closing his eyes.
Actually, he was quite a foodie.
During his diet period, eating beef didn’t matter much.
Beef is rich in protein and various trace elements needed by the human body.
For example, creatine can speed up muscle recovery and growth, making it the best meat source for those on a diet or working out.
As long as you don’t overeat, with appropriate cooking methods, it doesn’t matter.
Sharing a free, and lavish dinner, Kitagami Yoru’s mood improved significantly.
Night fell, and the moon rose.
After dinner with Gabriel, Kitagami Yoru and Gabriel went for a stroll around Tokyo Tower.
As it was getting late, they walked home together.
Near the train station, Gabriel wanted to buy some daily necessities. Kitagami Yoru saw a European-style bakery across the street.
“Let’s try some whole wheat bread and baguettes, change up the taste.”
After some hesitation, Kitagami Yoru walked over.
In front of the bakery.
A silver-gray haired girl with rabbit hair clips and a mask was pointing at a mousse cake in the display case, speaking to the shop assistant.
The shop assistant was sitting in front of the display case, holding a newspaper, looking bored without any reaction.
Sakurajima Mai frowned and raised her voice, politely repeating herself.
After speaking, she noticed a shady-looking fat man standing behind her.
The shop assistant still didn’t react, as if he couldn’t see her.
“Are you not doing business?”
Sakurajima Mai’s annoyed expression grew, and she shouted at the shop assistant again.
“That, I want three baguettes, whole wheat walnut bread.”
The next second, Kitagami Yoru decided what he wanted to buy and said it together.
“Private Marseille (私密马赛), good sir.” The shop assistant heard Kitagami Yoru’s words, put down the newspaper, and immediately saw him.
Mai suddenly looked at the shop assistant with wide eyes.
It was clearly her who came first.
Also, are you ignoring me?
“She came first; give it to her.” Yoru pointed at the masked girl in front of him.
Wearing a mask, her face was unclear, but he could tell she was definitely a beauty.
“Thank you.” Mai turned around and thanked Yoru.
He noticed that the other person was probably a boy around his age.
“Oh? Ah, miss, I’m so sorry, very sorry!”
The shop assistant, hearing Yoru’s words, suddenly saw Mai and was surprised, touching his head.
While apologizing, he also furrowed his brows in recollection.
Strange, it was clearly empty just now?
Did I get too absorbed in reading the newspaper?
The shop assistant quickly got Mai a cake and apologized with an apologetic face.
Then he gave Yoru a loaf of bread.
After the transaction, he touched his head and sat back down with an unnatural expression.
