Remember this name.
Kitagami Yoru gave the cookies to Yuigahama Yui and headed straight towards Shuichi n Academy.
On the way, he took out his phone and sent a message to Gabriel, arranging a meeting place and time.
He walked out of the school gates.
It was Friday afternoon; tomorrow was the weekend, and the commercial street near the school was less crowded than usual.
It’s a commercial street that students frequent, but they wouldn’t hang around here after school on a Friday.
Walking down the deserted street, Kitagami Yoru arrived at the station at the end and prepared to take a train to meet Gabriel.
He joined the queue and swiped his card to enter.
In front of Kitagami Yoru was a girl with silver-gray hair cascading down her back.
“Is it strange? Has my card stopped working?” Sakurajima Mai tried reapplying her transportation card to the reader.
One second, two seconds, three seconds.
There was no response.
Noticing someone behind her in line, she quickly tried again.
But it still didn’t work; the card remained unresponsive when placed on the reader.
“Maybe this gate is broken, try another one?”
Kitagami Yoru watched from behind and saw that Sakurajima Mai had tried several times without success. As he walked towards her, he offered a kind reminder.
Switching to the adjacent gate, Kitagami Yoru used his card, which worked with a beep.
“Ding!”
The reader emitted a sound to indicate passage was granted.
Kitagami Yoru walked past Sakurajima Mai and glanced at her.
Huh?
Is it her?
She dyed her hair silver-gray.
Kitagami Yoru recognized Sakurajima Mai’s profile from their previous encounter at the bakery.
But he felt like he had seen her before this.
“Do I know her?”
Kitagami Yoru slowed his pace, slightly frowning as he tried to recall.
Sakurajima Mai also got to the gate passed by Kitagami Yoru and stuck her transportation card on it.
……
There was still no response.
“What? Is my card broken?”
Although Sakurajima Mai doesn’t use public transportation often, she always keeps her cards in good condition and it’s impossible for her to run out of funds.
Besides, the system only prompts low balance when exiting, not when entering.
Since there were few people at the station, Sakurajima Mai tried another gate.
“It seems it’s really broken. I’ll buy a ticket.” Sakurajima Mai looked up and sighed, revealing her pretty face.
Her beauty was no less than Kasumigaoka Utaha’s, just not as curvy.
“You?”
Sakurajima Mai recognized Kitagami Yoru soon after, his chubby figure was quite memorable.
“It’s me, the one……”
“Besides that time at the bakery, I felt like I’ve seen you somewhere.” So Kitagami Yoru didn’t leave.
“Ah, you recognized me?”
The next second, Sakurajima Mai smiled without any surprise and said something confusing to Kitagami Yoru.
Then, before Kitagami Yoru could react, she took out a signed photo from her bag and handed it to him.
Kitagami Yoru: “????”
What is this?
The question in Kitagami Yoru’s mind hadn’t left his lips.
“Here, my autograph~”
Sakurajima Mai shook the photo in her hand.
It was her image from a drama she was in.
Kitagami Yoru subconsciously took it, looked at the photo and then Sakurajima Mai, his expression was strange.
Sakurajima Mai thought Kitagami Yoru was just excited to see her, feeling a faint sense of pleasure.
“That……Private Marseille, who are you?”
Suddenly Kitagami Yoru spoke up, breaking Sakurajima Mai’s pleasure.
“What do you mean?”
Mai was a bit surprised and felt annoyed and slightly embarrassed.
Not my fan, right?!
“Sakurajima Mai?”
Yoru looked at Mai’s reaction, glanced at the signed photo she gave him, and muttered the name on it.
“Yeah, I am Sakurajima Mai!”
Mai, as a child star actress, quickly controlled her expression.
Yoru racked his brain and realized: “I remember you, I’ve seen your work, you’re a celebrity!”
“Hmph.”
Mai secretly snorted and walked towards the ticket machine.
“Thank you.”
Yoru thanked her and remembered the name.
A celebrity, huh?
No wonder he found Mai familiar; he had seen her in a drama.
But, isn’t she an outdated celebrity?
Why wasn’t she discussed much at school or online? She wasn’t famous anymore.
Yoru smiled and kept the signed photo, walking to the platform.
Meanwhile, Mai put money into the ticket machine, but it was swallowed!
“What’s going on?”
Mai was dumbfounded and kept pressing buttons.
The machine couldn’t be broken; someone had just bought a ticket before her.
“No… impossible…”
Mai kept pressing the refresh and reset buttons, getting annoyed and frustrated.
After trying everything, she got no response.
Mai turned around with a defeated look and went to find the station staff.
She had been unlucky lately, always encountering small troubles that made her anxious.
Feeling down, Mai found the staff at the service desk.
“Hello, my money was swallowed by the ticket machine.”
Mai said.
The staff member didn’t react.
“Hello, my money got eaten by the ticket machine!”
Sakurajima Mai became a bit angry and raised her voice.
The staff member kept working on the computer without any reaction, not even lifting his head.
“This is the service attitude of your station, I’m going to complain about you!”
Sakurajima Mai was frustrated and angry, repeatedly stepping on the floor with her shoes to express her anger.
“Tap tap tap~”
The staff member was typing on the keyboard and made a sound.
Sakurajima Mai suddenly doubted if she was invisible?
Then, she reluctantly and angrily reached into the small window and poked the staff member’s wrist with her finger.
When they touched, the staff member seemed surprised and finally reacted!
“What is it again?”
Sakurajima Mai saw the other person’s expression and frowned.
On the other side.
It was probably around six-thirty.
Kitagami Yoru didn’t go home but took a train to a commercial plaza in Minato District and found Gabriel.
“I’m not late, am I, Gabriel?” Kitagami Yoru asked.
“No, let’s have dinner first and then go shopping.” Gabriel wasn’t in a hurry.
She patted her backpack, which contained her savings, enough to buy a good computer.
Dinner, shopping, buying a computer.
Gabriel and Kitagami Yoru returned to the apartment, already past nine in the evening.
Turning on the heater, Kitagami Yoru had eaten lunch and then petted San-san before starting his workout as usual.
Friday night was still enjoyable.
But Kitagami Yoru saw Shinomiya Kaguya and Fujiwara Chika from a distance, along with a girl with white hair and an age that he had never seen before. She was quite pretty.
