    Heroine Regret 62

    Edited by: Tiny Fan Fiction

    That’s still…

    However……

Kitagami Yoru from start to finish never had the intention of helping Eriri.

Stay on the first floor, there’s a slight chance you might see rain.

    It’s getting colder and colder.

Kitagami Yoru was holding an umbrella, planning to go home despite the risk of getting wet.

As soon as he moved, it startled Eriri.

Eriri thought that Kitagami Yoru would stop here, having some intention to help himself.

But Kitagami Yoru just kept walking.

    “Hey, wait up, wait up!”

Eriri was stunned, but reacted instantly and chased after him.

But she was forced back by the rain.

Raindrops the size of soybeans, hitting the body can be felt as a slight pain.

Kitagami Yoru furrowed his brows and stopped in the rain, turning back.

Eriri wouldn’t be asking to share an umbrella with me, would she?

    Let me help her out?

Kitagami Yoru muttered under his breath.

“Could you give me a ride?”

Eriri hesitated, stuttering as she spoke.

Clearly asking for help, but feeling embarrassed like confessing something.

Kitagami Yoru didn’t quite catch what was said, but he could guess Eriri’s intention.

Eriri looked at the fatso in front of her and nodded vigorously.

She thought, even she had to ask Kitagami Yoru like this, he shouldn’t refuse himself; instead, he would be overjoyed and eager for it?

Eriri sighed inwardly in her heart, still tangled with disdain for Kitagami Yoru being a dead fatso.

Kitagami Yoru shook his head and decisively refused.

However, after speaking, he didn’t immediately leave but stayed in place to see the reaction of this proud lolicon.

A strong gust of wind came rushing, tilting the umbrella.

Raindrops went crazy from the sky, hitting the umbrella’s surface and making a sound.

Eriri took a half step back in disbelief, her small mouth agape, even forgetting the cold.

    Was she rejected?

    Rejected by a dead fatso.

After all, shouldn’t a dead fatso be extremely overjoyed to agree?

    What can he even touch……

As an illustrator, Eriri truly does not understand her guests.

“Sawamura-san, do you think you look down on me with your high and mighty gaze, scolding me as a disgusting fatso. Won’t that make you angry?”

Seeing this situation, Kitagami Yoru didn’t rush to leave but instead mocked Eriri.

Upon hearing this, Eriri felt a bit irked and wanted to get angry, but seeing Kitagami Yoru, she somehow thought of something and pressed it down again.

    “Heh heh.”

Kitagami Yoru smirked with a small man’s triumph and stepped away.

No matter, what do small people matter……

His current reputation was seen as even less than that of a small person by many people.

    Life is also gloomy.

“Wait, I’ll give you money. Can money make it okay?”

    “You borrow my umbrella!”

Kitagami Yoru stepped away, but at the crucial moment, Eriri came up with a killer move and grabbed onto this lifeline.

After all, who doesn’t like money?

    “Money?”

Not surprisingly, Kitagami Yoru walked back.

If Eriri was willing to give herself money, the situation would be different again.

In his eyes, Eriri was just a proud girl who looked down on herself, not someone like Kasumigaoka Utaha, Shinomiya, or Kaguya.

If it were the latter, Kitagami Yoru wouldn’t help even if he had to pay a lot of money.

Kitagami Yoru returned downstairs and took the umbrella.

“How about three million? Can you help me once?”

Watching the bulky Kitagami Yoru, Eriri remembered the scenes from her nightmares and quietly stepped back.

She couldn’t help but start worrying and fearing.

She was a delicate little loli, after all. Kitagami Yoru’s body could crush her to death, and she wouldn’t be able to struggle at all.

    He… he won’t……

Eriri’s thoughts went astray out of fear again.

“Why don’t you look at me with disdain like Sawamura-san, arrogantly begging for my help? I’ll give you a free ride!”

    Kitagami Yoru’s sadistic nature.

You don’t like it when I look down on you, do you?

“What… What kind of request is this!”

Eriri stomped her little feet in embarrassment.

“Forget it, isn’t that what you like to do to me?” Kitagami Yoru also wanted to make some money.

“How about five million and an apology? How’s that?”

Eriri struggled inside. She knew very well what this disgusting fat guy was thinking.

    On purpose!

    “Fine.”

    Kitagami Yoru hesitated and nodded.

    This is an unexpected delight.

Five hundred thousand yen, which is a third of the after-tax income of an average college graduate.

This is like getting free money.

For someone in high school, it’s good, but also considered a small amount of money.

“Not… Eight hundred thousand, but I have an additional small condition.”

After the proposal was accepted, Eriri first felt relieved, then immediately added on.

Because she didn’t want to stand under a rain umbrella with Kitagami Yoru, this disgusting fatso, and have their bodies touch.

Eriri is a little rich girl; she doesn’t lack money at all!

    “What do you mean?”

Kitagami Yoru was looking at Eriri, who was about to give herself money.

    “Give me the umbrella first.”

“I’ll go out and buy an umbrella for you. Then I’ll bring it back. Is that okay?”

Eriri shivered and her lips turned white.

“Otherwise, your umbrella won’t be enough… for the two of us.”

Kitagami Yoru nodded, not too concerned about Eriri owing him 80,000 yen.

“I’m too big to hold an umbrella and go out. I’ll get wet for sure.”

He could let Eriri buy a raincoat and bring it back for himself.

The Commercial Street had them, so it shouldn’t take long.

After an unwilling apology from Eriri, the umbrella ended up in her hands.

She left with the umbrella on her head, braving the wind and rain.

Watching Eriri’s figure disappear into the rain, Kitagami Yoru felt even colder.

    “Of course.”

If he knew what was on Eriri’s mind – that she thought he was a dead fatso and worried about him doing something bad to her – he wouldn’t want to earn this money.

He might not be able to control his emotions.

Ever since Miura Yumiko made Kitagami Yoru open the floodgates of anger, he had changed.

Eriri held up Kitagami Yoru’s umbrella and walked in the pouring rain.

The drainage at Shuchiin Academy was good. There wasn’t much water on the road.

But the rain was too heavy. Not long after, Eriri’s feet and legs were completely soaked.

A gust of wind hit her, and Eriri, who was already shivering, almost couldn’t stand up! She got blown down!

    “It’s so cold -“

Eriri felt her brain freeze, going blank.

Just a low-powered robot, moving step by step towards the outside of Shuchiin Academy.

The heavy rain pounded Kitagami Yoru’s umbrella. The force made the top curve inwards and then bounce back.

In a short few minutes’ journey, Eriri took ten minutes to reach the entrance of Shuchiin Academy.

At this moment, she was frantically blowing her nose. All she could think about was getting home and taking a hot bath.

Braving the storm, Eriri moved forward slowly. She couldn’t feel any warmth on her body; her delicate lips turned pale and white.

    “Achoo!”

Eriri’s body wasn’t in the best shape to begin with, so when she let out a strong sneeze, she almost lost her balance.

A taxi pulled over from Commercial Street, picking up passengers. The driver spotted Eriri holding an umbrella in the rain.

Because Tokyo has well-developed and convenient transportation, taxis are relatively expensive. Usually, they only cater to tourists.

When it rains, many people can’t use public transport. Not wanting to brave the rain, business picks up.

    “Beep beep-”

The driver parked the taxi not far from Eriri, flashing his hazard lights even in the heavy rain, making the car somewhat blurry.

“Classmate, there’s air conditioning inside the cab, it’s warm.” The driver called out loudly.

Eriri was frozen in shock. Her response was slow, her brain wouldn’t move at all.

A few seconds later, she barely managed to process information, prompting her to instinctively get into the taxi.

The cab was dry and comfortable, with warm air conditioning.

After Eriri got in and closed the door, she said an address out loud, her voice trembling.

The driver didn’t quite catch it on his first try.

    “Achoo, achoo, achoo”

Eriri suddenly sneezed several times in a row. Leaning against the back seat of the taxi, she closed her eyes, feeling miserable.

Her forehead was hot, but her body felt extremely cold, unable to sense any warmth.

The taxi driver cranked up the air conditioning and set off with his hazard lights on.

Eriri, whose small brain was frozen, seemed to have forgotten something important or had been completely frozen in shock.

Kitagami Yoru crouched in the corner in front of Eriri, sticking his hands into his school uniform for warmth.

“It’s so cold. How long will Sawamura-san take to come back……”

“The sky is almost completely dark now……”

Kitagami Yoru realized that his thick fat was useless for the first time.

He looked at the time on his phone, which had no signal. It was past 5 o’clock.

The sky turned completely dark as if it were 7 PM, with visibility decreasing.

After waiting for another ten minutes, Kitagami Yoru felt that Eriri should have returned by now.

Awaiting her while feeling too cold to do otherwise, he started warming up with exercises.

    “Ah~”

“The criminal isn’t Eriri. Then who could it be?”

“Previously, they guessed there was a treasure chest on their head, that it was a bad woman, so they thought Eriri was the criminal.”

“But Kato-san, there’s also Hayasaka-san who I’m completely not familiar with, so this deduction is canceled.”

    “Ugh, it’s such a hassle!”

Kitagami Yoru sighed as he sat on the ground warming himself up while doing some mountain running warm-up.

    The sky gradually darkened.

“There’s no sign of the storm calming down at all…”

And ten minutes later, Kitagami Yoru couldn’t sit still anymore.

He stood up from the ground and looked in the direction Eriri had left, his expression gradually becoming serious.

    “What happened to her?”

“Or did she just play me!”

As soon as he had this thought, Kitagami Yoru started doubting more and more.

Eriri was gone for over twenty minutes still.

“Normally I walk faster, it takes about ten minutes to get to the station.”

    “She played me?!”

Kitagami Yoru took a step forward as the wind and rain hit him, sending a chill straight through his body.

His chubby body shivered uncontrollably from the cold, taking an unconscious step back.

“Why hasn’t she come back yet?”

Kitagami Yoru figured that if he waited any longer, it would be completely dark outside.

Despite the hope in his heart that Eriri had returned and would appear in the next second.

With this thought in mind, Kitagami Yoru waited for a few more minutes with an awful expression on his face.

    “I’ve been played by Eriri?”

Kitagami Yoru’s heart knotted up, knowing he couldn’t wait any longer.

The visibility was already greatly affected due to the heavy rain.

If he waited any longer, it would be pitch black outside.

He couldn’t possibly go home in the dark, could he?

    “Damn it!”

Thinking of that Eriri who looked at him through his nostrils, Kitagami Yoru cursed and tentatively reached out his hand.

Raindrops hit the palm of his hand hard enough to feel painful.

If he ran outside in the rain, within ten seconds, he would be completely soaked through.

But I can’t wait any longer.

Kitagami Yoru gritted his teeth and hurriedly carried his backpack up the stairs, holding a bundle of money in one hand.

He had placed his backpack at the bottom of the door, put his phone in it, and clenched a bunch of money in his other hand, leaving the backpack here.

“I don’t even know if the station has stopped operating…”

Kitagami Yoru hurriedly walked back and forth in the Club Complex Building, looking for something to shield him from the rain while angrily confronting Eriri.

He was making his way back home in the stormy darkness! It was all his fault.

    A few minutes later.

Kitagami Yoru found a discarded cardboard, raised it above his head with both hands, and dashed forward, gritting his teeth.

Ideals are beautiful, but reality is very bony.

He had thought that it would at least make some difference.
