No More.
Paperboard couldn’t hold on for ten seconds.
A downpour hits, and the wind blows, making everything wet.
Aside from hindering Kitagami Yoru’s progress, it has no other effect and can’t stop the rain.
Within a few seconds, Kitagami Yoru feels completely soaked.
Cold raindrops feel like needles, constantly piercing his body.
The cold discomfort makes him shiver continuously.
But it’s not that difficult.
That is just air.
In the midst of a downpour, oxygen is scarce. Kitagami Yoru hasn’t even taken a few steps when he starts to feel short of breath and gasping for air.
And then comes the rain beating down furiously.
Countless raindrops slide onto his head, pouring into his eyes and nose, causing immense discomfort, making it impossible to open his eyes.
He can only stare at the sensation of rain breaking through his eyelids, squinting with one eye.
His nose feels equally unbearable. He can’t breathe properly and has to open his mouth for assistance.
But even opening his mouth, rainwater will drip into his mouth, making him choke with water in his mouth!
“The sky has turned black……”
Kitagami Yoru has never felt so miserable that even the freedom of breathing is a luxury.
Double torment on both his physical and mental being.
Suddenly, he slips and falls onto the hard ground soaked in cold rainwater.
Whether it’s rain or tears, they desperately slide down his cheeks……
Eriri wakes up drowsily in a taxi.
“Ah, choo…!”
She sneezes and instinctively brings her hands together, feeling slightly dizzy.
“Am I in a taxi?”
“Raincoat?”
Eriri suddenly remembers Kitagami Yoru’s raincoat and stares wide-eyed.
“Damn, I forgot!”
Eriri gasps again.
“Hello, we’re about to reach our destination.”
The taxi driver takes a turn.
Eriri moves her little behind, comes to the window, and sees a very familiar street in her sight.
“Just near my home!”
Eriri’s heart was in a panic as she hurriedly pulled out her phone.
6:17!
She had slept for an hour and left the Minato District early!
“He’s still waiting for me at school!”
Eriri suddenly remembered Kitagami Yoru, grabbed her umbrella, and thought to make the driver turn around.
But…
“Even though it’s still raining outside, it’s more like a drizzle now…”
Eriri let go of the white hand holding the umbrella again.
“So a little rain shouldn’t be a problem, right?”
“And… “
Eriri’s mind conjured up the image of a dead fat slob, making her shiver.
She wanted to keep Kitagami Yoru far away. She was afraid; she didn’t want to touch him.
If it were someone else, she would have turned back by now.
“At worst, just give him more money. It should be fine, right?”
Eriri convinced herself.
The deepest thought was because Kitagami Yoru was a disgusting fat slob and she didn’t want to get close. She was afraid, so she didn’t want to turn back.
Meanwhile.
Kitagami Yoru hadn’t left Shuchiin Academy yet.
The storm was too big. He couldn’t leave; walking a bit made him feel like he was gasping for breath, lacking oxygen.
It was cold, extremely cold, bone-chillingly cold.
The sky had turned completely black. The road couldn’t be seen.
At that moment, he was hiding in a toilet near the school gate.
Unmindful of the filth in the corner, his fat body curled up into a ball, hugging himself tightly and shivering incessantly…
Until around 9:30 PM, the storm gradually subsided.
In the darkness, he stumbled about. Only his head was warm – Kitagami Yoru. He fell a few times and ran back home in the rain.
San-san saw that the master hadn’t come back and waited at the door.
When Kitagami Yoru entered, scared it ran out of the house.
Back home, Kitagami Yoru directly rushed into the bathroom, stripped off his clothes, and dried his face with a towel.
His exposed skin, especially his palms and arms, were whitened and wrinkled from being soaked in rainwater.
“Sawamura. Spencer. Eriri…”
Kitagami Yoru gritted his teeth and forced out Eriri’s name from his throat, he was going crazy!
“Ah-choo – Ah-choo – Ah-choo – “
Suddenly, he let out a series of sneezes, his teeth chattering non-stop, holding onto the wall to stand up.
A while later.
Kitagami Yoru shrinks into a hot spring inside, letting it ease him slightly.
But he hasn’t fully recovered from his previous state.
Coldness, helplessness, fear, despair, labored breathing…
All thanks to Eriri!
Unconsciously, Kitagami Yoru clenches his fist, he’s going to find Eriri tomorrow!
Night…
Kitagami Yoru shrinks in his bed, annoyed by the sound of rain outside.
He took some cold medicine, but it seems like it didn’t work.
His body is still very uncomfortable, not just a cold and fever.
There’s also the lingering pain from the storm, shrinking in a corner of a dirty restroom, shaking for two hours, walking through the rain with difficulty, in a dark despair!
Half Night…
Only when Kitagami Yoru’s body can’t hold on anymore does he sink into sleep.
The next day, he was woken up by Gabriel.
Gabriel didn’t sleep well either, but just has dark circles.
Kitagami Yoru eats a random breakfast and follows Gabriel to school.
He’s going to find Eriri!
“Your situation seems quite bad, huh?”
Gabriel looks at Kitagami Yoru with concern.
“Cough – cough… I’m fine.”
Kitagami Yoru clenches his fist tightly, the scenery in front of him keeps retreating.
Arriving at the station, getting off.
Kitagami Yoru walks fast throughout the way, leaving Gabriel behind.
“Kitagami-san, what’s wrong with you?”
Passing by a bookstore, Aoyama Nanami curiously asks Gabriel.
“He has a fever, don’t mind it.”
Gabriel responds.
Kitagami Yoru first goes to the Service Club, picks up his backpack, dragging a sick body, straight to the Teaching Building.
But when Kitagami Yoru is filled with anger and walks towards Eriri, she hasn’t arrived yet!
He had no choice but to wait until the reading class started and then went out again.
It’s Friday today, and Eriri hasn’t come. I guess she won’t be coming today?
“Isn’t that because you’re afraid to come?”
Kitagami Yoru was filled with an uncontrollable anger and his mind was on the verge of collapse!
The whole day, people were out of their senses.
Your body feels uncomfortable, and you didn’t go to Service Club either.
After coming home, I took some cold medicine and lay back in bed again.
“Kitagami-san, have you taken it? This is what my grandmother taught me. Drinking this can be very useful.”
Aoyama Nanami stood at the door, looking concernedly at the weak Kitagami Yoru.
She brought over a bowl of Chinese medicine to him.
“Huh?”
Kitagami Yoru nodded slowly and took the bowl, suddenly remembering something.
“That’s right, Aoyama-san. Your boyfriend asked me to keep my distance from you. Did we have a misunderstanding?”
After saying that, Kitagami Yoru looked at the black medicine in the bowl and gulped it down.
“Me?”
“My boyfriend?”
Aoyama Nanami blinked her pretty eyes, full of surprise.
