Shirogane Kei and Fujiwara Moeha
“What are you talking about?”
Shinomiya Kaguya regained her usual demeanor, still with a bit of coldness.
She couldn’t understand what Kitagami Yoru was saying at all.
Fujiwara Chika stretched out to grab Shinomiya Kaguya’s hand but then withdrew in mid-air.
“About the spring outing, Student Council Vice President Shinomiya-san, you’ve really forgotten that quickly?”
Kitagami Yoru stood up calmly and looked towards Shinomiya Kaguya.
Among his peers, only a few basketball tall players surpassed him in height.
Shinomiya Kaguya’s figure was petite, almost the same as Eriri’s.
Kitagami Yoru towered over her, but Shinomiya Kaguya didn’t lose any of her own presence.
The air was thick with the smell of gunpowder, intense!
Not far away, even Oi on a stone got up and looked over here.
“About the spring outing, isn’t that what you did?”
“Isn’t the perpetrator the one who stole Kasumigaoka Utaha’s stockings and padding?!”
Shinomiya Kaguya asked back.
Various evidence showed that the perpetrator was Kitagami Yoru.
“Kaguya, Kitagami-san, stop arguing.”
Fujiwara Chika saw something was off and quickly stepped in to mediate.
“Should we talk somewhere else?”
Kitagami Yoru glanced at Fujiwara Chika and said to Shinomiya Kaguya.
Shinomiya Kaguya’s gaze was calm, without a response.
“Fine, let it be. In some time, the truth will come out naturally, and I’ve already caught the perpetrator.”
Kitagami Yoru chuckled.
“Really?”
This is the thing Fujiwara Chika has been deliberately avoiding.
Her own friend, a thief who stole girls’ stockings and garter belts. She always had a knot in her stomach because she was also a woman.
But usually, she didn’t pay much attention to it; she tried not to think about it at all.
“It must be true!”
Kitagami Yoru nodded heavily, always paying attention to Shinomiya Kaguya’s expression.
“Then let’s find another place to talk……”
Shinomiya Kaguya’s expression didn’t change at all.
After saying that, she walked out the door.
“Just don’t follow me, Fujiwara-san.”
Kitagami Yoru thought it was best for Fujiwara Chika not to listen to this topic.
Shinomiya Kaguya gently pushed the door open and walked out gracefully. Kitagami Yoru followed closely, staring fixedly at her back.
“The Fujiwara……”
“Still a top-notch heiress of the Fujiwara family; she’s truly terrifying in her arrogance.”
Kitagami Yoru was thinking to herself.
Shinomiya Kaguya didn’t know where they were going, but she kept bringing Kitagami Yoru outside the building housing the Student Council before stopping.
She probably didn’t want Shirogane Miyuki to see them having a cold argument.
As for whether Shirogane Miyuki would misunderstand or misinterpret? That’s unclear!
“You keep talking.”
Shinomiya Kaguya turned her body around, looking incredibly delicate and weak.
But don’t be fooled; the ace of the archery club has surprisingly strong arm strength.
“I say, I caught the real culprit. Isn’t it your inability and negligence from before that forced me to work with Kasumigaoka Utaha to expose the school?”
Kitagami Yoru’s eyes flashed with thick disdain and displeasure.
A top heiress of a top financial family? What does she know about it?
She thinks she can be my dog, too!
“You haven’t clarified that. Second, I cannot confirm if this is false evidence…”
Shinomiya Kaguya remains calm as usual because the situation hasn’t been cleared up; why should she believe without any basis?
“I don’t ask you to believe, I just want to know from Shinomiya-san, after the situation is clarified, will you admit your mistake and apologize to me?”
Kitagami Yoru calmly inquires.
Of course, he can’t force Shinomiya Kaguya to apologize.
Hiratsuka Shizuka’s warning is no joke.
He also deeply knows the terrifying nature of the other party’s family.
“Is the criminal a man or a woman? Besides stealing Kasumigaoka Utaha-senpai’s silk stockings and padding, have they done anything else?”
Shinomiya Kaguya doesn’t directly answer Kitagami Yoru but asks a question back.
Wasn’t the main reason she helped Kasumigaoka Utaha at that time to worry about herself?
“A woman, they chose to revenge on Kasumigaoka Utaha.”
Kitagami Yoru hesitates and says.
“A woman?”
Shinomiya Kaguya slightly relaxes but still keeps her doubts.
She then looks at Kitagami Yoru and leaves without a word.
The situation is still not cleared up.
“The speed of opening the treasure chest needs to be added to the agenda.”
Kitagami Yoru gazes at Shinomiya Kaguya’s petite figure.
In the Student Council room.
Shirogane Miyuki comes back from the restroom, glances at Shinomiya Kaguya’s lavish lunch, and curiously touches her head to ask: “Fujiwara Secretary, where is Shinomiya?”
“Kaguya-chan and Kitagami-san are outside talking…”
Fujiwara Chika sits on the sofa, sighs with one hand on her cheek.
“Ha? Four… Shinomiya and Kitagami-san are going out?”
Shirogane Miyuki is completely clueless about what’s happening; she’s in a bind.
A while later.
Shinomiya Kaguya has returned and is sitting at her lunch.
She doesn’t eat lunch but pulls out a smartphone instead.
“Shinomiya…”
“Shinomiya usually hardly uses smartphones… she never used to use them at all…”
Shirogane Miyuki feels happy inside and tries to speak up, but then stops herself.
“I’ll go find Kitagami-san.”
Fujiwara Chika stands up and strides out.
“Shinomiya… is this a reply to someone’s message?”
Shirogane Miyuki pretends to be looking at the scenery, but secretly observes Shinomiya Kaguya’s actions.
Indeed, Shinomiya Kaguya replies to the message.
But not as Shirogane Miyuki wanted; it’s a reply from Hayasaka Ai.
“How did Kitagami-san and Shinomiya-san end up like this~”
“It’s so complicated, I wish there was a way to ease the tension between them.”
Fujiwara Chika anxiously chases after Kitagami Yoru, thinking to herself.
“Kitagami-san, you weren’t joking just now?”
Fujiwara Chika asks.
“Yes, do I need to joke?”
Kitagami Yoru sighs helplessly; he hasn’t moved far away.
“Congratulations are in order, but you and Kaguya……”
Fujiwara Chika first congratulates with a smile, then slightly lowers her gaze.
“Do you know how Shinomiya Kaguya bullied me?”
Kitagami Yoru steps forward, his face not pleased.
“…I don’t… How did she bully you?”
Fujiwara Chika tightens her heart.
“You are the high and mighty noble families; I’m just an ordinary person, at best barely meeting the standards of your household.”
I don’t dare to ask for anything…..as for being bullied….you go and ask her.
Kitagami Yoru gently shakes his head.
“Kaguya’s personality…..”
Always beaming with a smile on her face, Fujiwara Chika rarely shows a mature and serious expression.
She was friends with Shinomiya Kaguya in junior high school; they really know each other.
Even now, Shinomiya Kaguya has become slightly more cheerful.
Apologizing from Shinomiya Kaguya is like trying to climb Mount Everest.
The upper class is just so twisted, complex, and disgusting.
For example, even if they make a mistake in the US, will they publicly apologize to a small country in international society?
Do I still need face?
At most, they’ll send their servants over to say something and give some compensation.
“That amount of money” is definitely a lot, but Kitagami Yoru doesn’t seem to need such an apology.
…….
“Moe, isn’t that your sister?”
“Who is the person talking to him?”
Shirogane Kei with sharper eyes sees Fujiwara Chika and Kitagami Yoru from a distance first, then turns to Moe Fujiwara next to her.
The two sisters are bored in the afternoon, so they decide to visit the high school department.
As students of the junior high department, they naturally remove any obstacles.
“I don’t know; I don’t recognize her.”
Fujiwara Moeha stops in her tracks out of curiosity and looks over.
“Are you going to go?”
Shirogane Kei glances at Fujiwara Moeha next to him.
“Let’s go.”
Fujiwara Moeha nods and speeds up.
Chika from the Fujiwara family spoke very enthusiastically until she and Moe from the Fujiwara family noticed that they were getting closer to Kitagami Yoru.
“Hmm?”
“Let’s do this, Miss Fujiwara.”
Kitagami Yoru quickly turned his head and glanced at them, saying faintly.
“Moe, Xiao Gui, why did you come here?”
Chika from the Fujiwara family also finished speaking everything she wanted to say.
“It was so boring; I came to see you…”
Moe from the Fujiwara family was pulling Shirogane Kei’s hand and laughing.
“Miss Fujiwara, good afternoon.”
Shirogane Kei greeted them politely.
“See you later.”
Kitagami Yoru bid farewell in one sentence and turned to leave.
However, his gaze lingered on a girl with silver-white hair not far away, causing him to stop.
“Isn’t that?”
Kitagami Yoru looked at the other person.
“Wow…!”
Moe from the Fujiwara family finally recognized Kitagami Yoru’s face and exclaimed in surprise.
He’s such a handsome senior!
Is there anyone this good-looking in the world?!
“You’re overreacting…”
Shirogane Kei felt a little embarrassed and gently poked Moe from the Fujiwara family, but he couldn’t compose himself either.
It’s annoying when someone scolds you like your older brother; it’s a thousand times more handsome.
“This is my sister, Moe from the Fujiwara family.”
“This is the sister of the headmaster Shirogane, Shirogane Kei.”
Chika from the Fujiwara family introduced them to Kitagami Yoru.
“Shirogane… Miyuki’s sister?”
Kitagami Yoru slightly widened his eyes, staring intently at Shirogane Kei.
“He… Why is he looking at me?”
Shirogane Kei was quite surprised and bashfully nodded lightly.
“We meet again, Shirogane classmate.”
Kitagami Yoru composed his expression.
“Again… Did we meet before?”
Shirogane Kei’s pale countenance froze.
“Bicycle, fall down? Do you remember me?”
Kitagami Yoru spoke to himself.
Beside, the two sisters Fujiwara shared a tacit look and glanced at their friends next to them.
How is there something I don’t know?
Shirogane Kei shook her head gently while reminiscing.
Kitagami Yoru was so handsome that he couldn’t forget someone just after meeting them once.
“The final exam of the last term, you forgot?”
“Back then, I wasn’t like this.”
Kitagami Yoru added.
“Wow! Who is he?!”
Shirogane Kei’s intelligent brain received crucial information and sighed deeply.
“Ah, so you are Shirogane Miyuki’s sister.”
Kitagami Yoru waved his hand at Fujiwara Chika again and walked away directly.
Shirogane Kei maintained a stunned expression, watching Kitagami Yoru leave.
“Sister, who is he?”
“And Kei-chan… You shouldn’t be so surprised, right?”
Fujiwara Moeha is undoubtedly the most curious one.
Kitagami Yoru not only met with his sister but also encountered Shirogane Kei.
“He’s your sister’s friend, Kitagami Yoru, that very same Kitagami Yoru.”
Fujiwara Chika explained.
“North…Kitagami Yoru?”
Fujiwara Moeha was trying to recall.
“Yes, yes, but the real culprit isn’t him.”
Fujiwara Chika continued.
After some time, as Kitagami Yoru said, the misunderstanding can be resolved.
Everyone will no longer react like Moe, revealing such a reaction.
……..
After Kitagami Yoru left, there was no lingering around; he directly returned to the Classroom.
Passing Eriri’s location, he slowed his pace and caught sight of Eriri with a hand resting on her cheek in thought.
A slight smile squeezed out, landing undoubtedly as a devilish greeting in Eriri’s eyes.
Eriri clenched her teeth, turning her head away.
Determined to keep her mouth shut and go find Tomoya Aki to explain the situation.
Kitagami Yoru returned to the Classroom shortly and began the afternoon classes.
Two lessons, light as a feather.
As soon as school ended, Kitagami Yoru packed up his bag and briskly left.
Eriri walked even faster, waiting downstairs.
“Hurry up or I’ll drag you myself…”
Kitagami Yoru met Eriri at the first-floor shoe cabinet.
Taking advantage of being alone, he spoke quickly.
Besides, Eriri is so petite and adorable. Holding her blushing, cute face, with a shy and bashful expression, she’s the best!
“Understood, you perverted scoundrel! I’ll crush you to death!”
Eriri’s mouth was filled with furious insults.
Kitagami Yoru changed his shoes and ignored Eriri, muttering to himself: “It’s been a long time since I went to the Service Club.”
“Hmph.”
Despite being in a state of extreme anxiety and helplessness inside, Eriri managed to keep up a good pretense and followed behind.
Outside, on the road away from Shuchiin Academy.
Eriri waited for a bit before precisely finding Tomoya Aki among the crowd.
“Tomoya….”
Eriri muttered and jumped up lightly.
But Tomoya Aki seemed to have no intention of leaving Shuchiin Academy; instead, he was walking towards the library.
Eriri decided to follow closely, her steps tense and awkward.
“Tomoya…..”
By the time they reached the library, Eriri called out to her childhood friend in a super low voice.
“Eriri?!”
Tomoya Aki thought it was just an illusion and turned around slowly, his surprise evident behind black-framed glasses.
Eriri had been very resistant to talking to him at school.
Today’s Eriri must have something important on her mind for her to approach him first.
“Could you come over here with me?”
Eriri looked around, but there was no one nearby.
But she couldn’t help feeling worried and scared.
“There’s nobody around us either, Eriri. If you have something to say, just go ahead and tell me.”
Tomoya Aki looked in the direction of the library.
Recently, that perverted stalker has started tracking Kasumigaoka Utaha again.
Upon asking for help from Kasumigaoka Utaha-senpai, Tomoya Aki had been accompanying her every day for the past few days.
“Let’s come over here first. I have something to tell you.”
Eriri tapped her foot impatiently.
Tomoya Aki thought that Eriri was still the same—timid and afraid to be seen—and spoke accordingly.
She didn’t realize the seriousness of the situation at all.
Of course, if he knew his childhood friend, the cute Eriri……
“Eriri, you go first. I’ve got things to do, can’t be late.”
Tomoya Aki smiled apologetically while also harboring a thought that wanted Eriri to suffer.
To speak up is ignored, but when Eriri speaks, one needs to listen and respond?
There’s something, it can be said here.
The most critical factor is that Kasumigaoka Utaha is waiting for herself.
It concerns the safety of Kasumigaoka Utaha’s person, which is definitely more important than what Eriri has to say.
“Do you have something?”
Eriri was taken aback and asked quickly.
She had been entangled in such a serious matter for a long time, forcing herself to come to Tomoya.
She hoped that Tomoya would know first and help her.
Could she speak up here?
Have you ever seen the big boss discussing business in the toilet, at a crowded place or on the subway?
Anyone might come over here anytime.
“Is……is….”
Tomoya Aki pushed up his glasses.
“Is it Kasumigaoka Utaha?!”
Eriri saw Tomoya Aki’s reaction and instinctively guessed.
Tomoya Aki was the kind of person who could lie and catch people off-guard, really terrible at it.
“Yuri…..”
Before Tomoya Aki could respond, Eriri directly left, having taken a step forward only to retreat.
Regret was futile and useless.
“Brain’s gone crazy, it deserves a price.”
Tears slowly wet Eriri’s eyes……
……
“Dum dum dum…..”
Kitagami Yoru knocks on the Service Club door.
“Please come in.”
Yukinoshita Yukino responds immediately.
“I’m coming.”
Kitagami Yoru opens the door and enters.
“So it’s you? Long time no see.”
Yukinoshita Yukino looks twice, greets, then averts her gaze.
“Afternoon good, Kitagami-san.”
Yuigahama Yui sees no issue and responds.
“What happened with the Service Club?”
Kitagami Yoru sits back in a familiar spot.
“There’s nothing, how are your reviews going?”
Yukinoshita Yukino responds.
You’ve slimmed down, have you? Your studying must be paying off?
“Studying is going great, I’m working hard for the whole summer break, besides losing weight, it’s all about reviewing.”
“I think, I’ve pretty much got it down.”
Kitagami Yoru smiles in response.
“Then let me test you?”
Yukinoshita Yukino closes her books.
Kitagami Yoru nods lightly.
…….
……..
“It’s going well, you haven’t lied, progress is good.”
“Study hard this term, maintain your standard, who knows by the end of the month there could be tremendous progress in exams.”
Yukinoshita Yukino said.
After all, Kitagami Yoru was reviewing last term’s material, which is about reinforcing basics.
Now, we’re just starting from the same starting line.
Those who excel don’t need to wait for teachers to teach; they can skip grades and pass year three exams without fail.
“Hahaahaha---”
Suddenly, a chubby guy with a headband appeared outside the Service Club door.
He weighs around 180-200 pounds according to Kitagami Yoru’s estimation.
After letting out a strange laugh, he took big steps into the room.
“So… how is my… novel doing?”
As soon as Mokumozono entered, it became extremely restrained.
Kitagami Yoru looked at Yukinoshita Yukino in surprise and didn’t get an answer, so he had to ask Yuigahama Yui for help.
“It’s a commission from the Service Club.”
“He is a light novel writer; they want us to see his level.”
Yuigahama Yui pointed at a pile of white papers on the table and said.
“Is that so? But does Yukinoshita Yukino usually read light novels?”
Kitagami Yoru curiously spoke up.
Mokumozono heard this and turned to look at Kitagami Yoru.
“Are you ready?”
“I’m going to start now.”
Yukinoshita Yukino took a sip of water.
“Good, I’m ready, always prepared.”
“It’s visible how tense and excited he is.”
“Honestly, it’s really incredibly boring. I can’t muster any enthusiasm at all.”
“Simply put, there’s no desire to read on whatsoever.”
Yukinoshita Yukino receives the answer and coldly speaks out without mercy.
“Ahaha….. No way….. My dream of winning the light novel award!”
Kitagami Yoru reacts with exaggerated screams, clutching his heart as if stabbed deeply.
Yukinoshita Yukino remains quiet and watches.
He slams his thigh hard and places both hands on the long table, taking a deep breath: “Go ahead and tell me. Have you prepared? Where do you think it’s written badly? Where is it boring?”
“The plot is boring, the writing isn’t refined enough, there are grammatical issues.”
“Although I haven’t read any light novels aimed at boys, I can still spot many problems.”
Yukinoshita Yukino picks up a stack of photocopies on the table and hands them to Kitagami Yoru.
“Is this what he wrote for his light novel?”
“Just to make money?”
Kitagami Yoru prefers reading comics and anime more than anything else.
He has read some light novels, but not many.
“How is it? This guy!”
Kitagami Yoru comforts himself and places hope in Kitagami Yoru.
Of course, he knows Kitagami Yoru, the big shot of Shuchiin Academy.
Looking at Kitagami Yoru, he even feels a desire to lose weight.
“It’s written a bit weirdly……”
Kitagami Yoru furrows his brow slightly and looks at Kitagami Yoru.
“Alright, I get it!”
Kitagami Yoru doesn’t want to listen to more criticism; the evaluation is enough already.
He punches his fist towards Kitagami Yoru and leaves the Service Club with a low mood.
“Since I joined the Service Club, I’ve been here, still pretty relaxed.”
Kitagami Yoru looks at Yukinoshita Yukino.
“So, get ready then, let’s start the tutoring session.”
“Right, about that thing you did, is it done?”
Yukinoshita Yukino stands up from her chair.
“Done…”
“…still”
Kitagami Yoru’s eyes carry a faint smile, hesitates for a moment but doesn’t say it.
I’ll handle my own thing.
Forget it, once things settle down, Yukinoshita Yukino and Yuigahama Yui will figure it out naturally.
“Kitagami-san, are you really dating Aoyama Nanami-san?”
Finally, Yuigahama Yui speaks up, bursting with curiosity.
“Ah… this matter….. doesn’t exist……”
“It’s just that we’re friends who live in the same apartment.”
Kitagami Yoru turns his head to look at Yuigahama Yui, a strange expression flashing on his face.
As soon as he sees Yuigahama Yui, he can’t help himself and thinks about her mother.
Mrs. Yuigahama!
“Is that so? And everyone’s praising you for being so handsome, lots of girls.”
Yuigahama Yui smiles and opens her mouth.
“I also know. I mean, do you girls really think such behavior is cool and charming?”
After Kitagami Yoru’s impulsive disappearance, he feels embarrassed all night long.
Embarrassment isn’t an option.
“What behavior?……”
Yuigahama Yui stops playing with her phone and looks puzzled.
“You’re talking about me, right?!”
Kitagami Yoru pointed at himself.
“Hmm?”
Yuigahama Yui took about the same time to react, looking towards Yukinoshita Yukino and then back at him.
“Saying you’re good-looking is flattering, isn’t it…”
“Of course, that kind of behavior. Still, there are people who find romantic gestures charming…”
Yuigahama Yui didn’t really feel that way; everyone’s thought process is different.
She doesn’t want to seek the spotlight.
“I’m just a little bit good-looking too…”
Kitagami Yoru felt strangely embarrassed.
“The peeping tom has learned to be humble, huh…..”
Yukinoshita Yukino suddenly spoke up in a calm tone.
“Ah? Is that so?”
Kitagami Yoru felt strange and smiled at Yukinoshita Yukino, very cheerfully.
The usually cold-hearted Yukinoshita Yukino, nicknamed the ice maiden, directly turned her head away.
“Time to focus.”
Kitagami Yoru sat up straight and slightly daydreamed about Sakurajima Mai.
Sakurajima Mai’s illness, has it mostly healed by now?
What a miraculous ability.
In someone else’s world, she had vanished.
Even small items carried on her person would vanish along with her.
Let Shinomiya Kaguya suffer some hardship; even breaking the Shinomiya family might rely on Sakurajima Mai.
Thinking of Shinomiya Kaguya, a cute and aloof face floats in Kitagami Yoru’s mind.
A nameless wicked fire charges straight at my head.
Just like Eriri.
Ugh……
“If Sakurajima-senpai were my servant, completely obedient to my commands, that would be ideal…”
“Murder and arson are essential. With just a casual poison, one can eliminate someone silently…”
Kitagami Yoru shook his head, shaking off distractions.
Have Sakurajima Mai investigate Shinomiya Kaguya, gather black powder from the Shinomiya financial group, sneak it out and let them suffer. It’s also an option.
Ask Sakurajima Mai to commit murder and arson, spy?
Forget it.
Kitagami Yoru doesn’t even need to think about it.
Sakurajima Mai isn’t my dog. What do I have that can make others addicted?
Time silently flows by.
Half an hour later.
An hour of club activity has ended.
Cleaned up, Kitagami Yoru left first and answered his mother’s phone call.
Instantly connected.
“Kasan, do you have something when I call?”
“I’m going to a friend’s house for a visit, for dinner. Ask if you’re coming.”
Kitagami Megumi replied.
“Just… not the friend I asked to deliver flowers last time, right?”
Kitagami Yoru looked at the scenery of Shuchiin Academy and began walking back and forth.
“Yes, are you going?”
Kitagami Megumi said.
Damn it. Is there such a good relationship between my mom and Sawamura Sayuri’s mother?
“They’re all visiting each other, if they knew me and Eriri…”
“Should I go or not?”
Kitagami Yoru pondered the benefits of going.
He eventually decided to go back.
Why don’t you go!
By the way, eavesdrop on Eriri’s heart.
Look at what Eriri is thinking.
“I’ll drive over to your apartment later.”
Kitagami Megumi happily smiled.
“Goodbye.”
Kitagami Yoru hung up the phone and sighed softly.
Leaving Shuchiin Academy, he took a ride home.
About when he got home, he met Aoyama Nanami who was back from shopping.
“Kitagami-san… you you you… listen to me…”
“I didn’t go out. I’ve been resting well at home and only went out for some shopping.”
Aoyama Nanami felt scared and shy when she saw Kitagami Yoru, standing straight with her back stiff and retreating two steps.
All because of Kitagami Yoru, who tugged at her ear and gently massaged it…
“Am I that scary?”
Kitagami Yoru approached Aoyama Nanami and tried to smile bitterly.
“Yes… a little bit.”
Aoyama Nanami touched her ear, blushing in response.
Then, she walked back with Kitagami Yoru shoulder to shoulder towards the apartment.
“Kitagami-san told me to tell him when I have something…”
“Should I tell him about my secret sensitive ears?”
“What if he pulls at them again in the future? It’s been good here…”
Aoyama Nanami’s eyes were restless, muttering secretly to herself.
“Kitagami-san is such a good person. If he knows, he probably won’t bully me again on purpose by pulling my ears.”
“Do I say it?”
A faint knot of emotion in her expression.
She always feels this strange thought of hers.
Exposing her sensitive parts and weaknesses to the opposite sex proactively.
Although, I’m not opposed to Kitagami Yoru’s idea.
A few minutes later, back at the apartment.
“Nanami, goodbye.”
Kitagami Yoru and Aoyama Nanami meet at the staircase corner.
“Hmm hmm.”
Aoyama Nanami even gave two quick head nods.
Back home.
The muscles around Aoyama Nanami’s waist gradually relax as she tightens them.
On the other side.
Kitagami Yoru sits on a small sofa in the living room, cradling her pet San-san who is welcoming her.
“Let me see…”
“Yukinoshita Yukino said that pet collars are engraved with the owner’s name to prevent pets from getting lost.”
Kitagami Yoru feels around San-san’s fuzzy neck for a collar and glances at it again.
The information on top is blurry and worn out.
Leaving several Arabic numerals, Kitagami Yoru guesses that they are the phone number of San-san’s original owner.
“There’s another one, ‘Hanzi Sān,’ which means three in Chinese.”
Kitagami Yoru remembers Tokisaki Kurumi whom she met today through Honami (who goes by the name One).
She also calls her pet San-san.
Probably, that’s not too lucky, is it?
Gently holding both hands of San-san, Kitagami Yoru lifts it and nuzzles its perfectly round head with her face.
“Meow meow…”
Kitagami Yoru isn’t averse to San-san’s affectionate gestures towards him; he not only called out twice but also swiped his tail.
The next second, the phone rang.
His mom, Kitagami Megumi, sent a message saying she’d be here in ten minutes.
Kitagami Yoru widened his eyes at San-san’s round amber pupils and was startled by it but couldn’t let go.
He chose a more casual outfit and quickly took a shower.
When he came out, Kitagami Megumi’s car happened to be parked outside the apartment building.
“Buckle up.”
Kitagami Megumi reminded him.
“Okay.”
Kitagami Yoru chose to sit in the back, a bit more comfortable.
Eriri…
The family bread van; it’s said that with the neighbor on the other side of the street, it costs an extra fifteen thousand dollars for customization.
“Kasan, how did you meet Sawamura Sayuri Auntie?”
On the way, Kitagami Yoru curiously asked.
“She likes flowers. I’m a florist. We met at a flower show once and had a great chat.”
“We exchanged contact info then, got to know each other gradually. It wasn’t until a year later that I found out Sayuri is the wife of an ambassador.”
“That’s incredible.”
Kitagami Megumi said with a smile.
“Do you have something in common, Sayuri? Hyacinths?”
Kitagami Yoru responded strangely.
Mom, if you knew, your son and Sawamura Sayuri Auntie’s daughter Eriri are also good friends.
Wouldn’t that be a surprise?
This morning, Eriri even brought it up herself.
“I’m going now. Eriri won’t be scared, right?”
Kitagami Yoru thought of that little golden retriever, and a strange smile appeared on the corners of his mouth.
At school, people still think of this little golden retriever as lofty and inviolable…
…
Meanwhile,
On the other side, Sawamura Sayuri had already prepared a table full of sumptuous dishes, washing fruits.
Eriri brought back takeout and questioned her mother curiously.
“Mom, dad isn’t coming home today, is he?”
“You cooked so much food, still feel it’s not enough, you ordered takeaway too?”
The water faucet was humming with the sound of water.
“There’s someone coming over, mom’s friend, didn’t you tell me in advance a few days ago?”
Sawamura Sayuri said without looking up.
“Ah? Is there?”
Eriri exclaimed in surprise.
“Do you remember the guy who delivered flowers last time?”
Sawamura Sayuri drained a plate of strawberries and put them on the table.
“You…..mom……”
“Are you saying…..he’s coming?!”
Eriri’s eyes widened in an instant, she was about to collapse!
“Yes, his mother is my friend. You better get ready and tidy up too.”
Sawamura Sayuri started cleaning the watermelon, not paying attention to her adorable daughter Eriri.
