Chapter 11 Valetta: Finally found the external brain!
“What?”
Valetta has to admit, she lost.
Although it was clear that this time no matter what happened, she had to keep her Absolute calm, but this silver-haired boy still managed to say one word that made her almost unable to suppress her bloodlust.
Her brain was clearly empty of screws, but she still felt like she heard a clicking sound, as if something had broken inside her.
She, Valetta·Graid, is an Elf female!
Even though she’s a psychopath, Valetta is also an Elf female!
The Evilus isn’t some sect that focuses on asceticism and eroding individual will; it’s one that indulges desires.
So, any Elf female who has grown out of her innocence from the age of nine to ninety won’t like being called an old woman.
So Valetta almost wanted to pull out her sword and kill the boy standing in front of her.
But after hearing his second sentence, Valetta somehow managed to press her hand back down.
Because that word, though spoken in a calm tone, contained an arrogant fervor that was very familiar to Valetta.
No doubt, that’s the same pious tone they often use when Evilus members take oaths or pray.
So, does this silver-haired boy belong to the Evilus?
And he’s also a member of some Chief God faction that I don’t recognize?
Valetta doesn’t think her guess is wrong.
First, there are many Chief Deities in the divine realm, and many of them are unknown to other gods, even the great god Uranos couldn’t recognize all Chief Deities.
Perhaps outside the city, there’s a Chief God whose beliefs align closely with Evilus ideals, cultivating their Familia and then sending them back to Orario.
Second, they’re all Evilus Chief Deities, so it’s normal for them to be somewhat hidden.
At least Valetta knows about a Evilus member named Enyo. She only knows his name, not his face, and other Evilus Chief Deities probably haven’t seen him either.
Finally and most importantly, this silver-haired boy’s audacity to take on other Chief Deities is just too in line with their Evilus members’ personalities.
In an era dominated by Absolute divine power, few dare to show disrespect to the gods.
Dare to confront the gods, and even those who slay gods are rarely seen in the dark guild.
Compared to slaying a god, striking at someone within the same dark guild pales in comparison……Valetta’s flames roared with fury as she slaughtered those foolish, unwise family members of her own.
Valetta suppressed herself and maintained her composure.
“Kid, does your Chief God also share the same beliefs as us?”
Noah’s eyes widened in outrage, his tone laced with intent to kill, staring daggers at Valetta.
“Don’t you dare talk about that! In heaven and on earth, only I, the god of death, have the right to wield the power of death. The rest are Xenos! One day, I will wipe out all Xenos!”
Despite the naked threat, Valetta’s intent to kill dissipated, even with a hint of amusement in her expression.
She realized this guy was one of the dark guild members.
And he was more extreme, more fanatical, and more insane than any other member she had encountered.
That level of faith was so intense it couldn’t even tolerate other dark guild Chiefs who also wielded death authority.
The saying “Xenos are worse than heretics” had been repeated to Valetta many times.
Thinking about this, Valetta’s thoughts became more active. She noticed a change in the silver-haired boy’s gaze as well.
No one knew how troubled Valetta truly was, surrounded by such useless allies!
If half of Orario Guild’s intelligence came from Finn Deim, then Valetta alone provided over two-thirds of the dark guild’s intelligence!
Moreover, even Familia members who lacked brains wouldn’t let Finn drag them down.
In a dark guild full of crazy people, just being able to execute schemes without going off track was enough to make you a sharp member.
Valetta really needed some smart allies to lighten her load!
Having an enemy wasn’t the problem; Loki Familia and Freya’s Familia had almost come to blows just from meeting each other!
On this earth, it’s not the gods you need to fear, but your own allies who act like pigs.
Because smart people can make deals and predict outcomes, while fools often do unpredictable things!
Hmm! Let’s test this out!
“Destroy us? Now you’re just joking. You don’t know anything yet, but you dare to speak such nonsense even the Orario Guild wouldn’t say!”
Noah huffed lightly, slightly lifting his chin.
“That’s just their foolishness. You guys are so weak, yet you can’t even see your own flaws.”
Valetta raised an eyebrow slightly.
“Oh? Do you know that? Isn’t that just a guess?”
“Guess? That’s hilarious! First off, where do your supplies come from? You manage to dodge the Guild inspections and get your materials supplies, but besides those brain-dead fools, there aren’t any others!”
Valetta narrowed her eyes slightly and formed a crescent shape with her lips.
Despite being prosperous due to its monopoly on Magic Stone Craftsmanship, Oraria still suffers from the inherent disadvantages of a large city: insufficient farmland, overcrowded population, and thus reliant on external sources for food supply. Even the Evilus isn’t immune to this.
Creating a few small-scale smuggling routes within the city is possible, but it’s nowhere near enough to provide the hundreds or thousands of people here with the supplies they need.
The Evilus gets its supplies from merchants. Those who make a fortune by selling European Magic Stone Craftsmanship products across continents and various goods in Dungeon City are among them.
These merchants wouldn’t support the Evilus unless it’s in their best interest.
Despite opening up markets for Monster drop tools and selling Magic Stone Craftsmanship products, Oraria still monopolizes the raw Magic Stones. This is because if Monsters consume too many Magic Stones, they become Variant Species that pose a huge threat.
Even in high-level Adventurer areas like Dungeons, every time a Variant Species appears, it causes massive casualties. And considering their overall combat power is lower than Oraria’s external forces, this is even more concerning.
Monopolizing Magic Stone sales and restricting higher-level Adventurers from going out are measures taken by the Orario Guild to prevent potential threats to external forces.
However, merchants don’t care about these restrictions. They only know that the Guild is monopolizing Magic Stone trade and hindering their own wealth growth.
After the Zeus Familia and Hera Familia retreated and the Guild’s strength declined, the merchants began plotting.
As for Orario Guild being destroyed leading to Dungeon Monsters breaching Babel Tower’s restrictions and eventually bringing back Cyclopean Black Dragon to return The World to the Era of Monsters, that’s unrelated to them.
After seven years of fighting with the Evilus, Oraria must have had someone come up with this plan.
But he just arrived in the city a few days ago and came up with this idea?
That’s brilliant! If we had him as an ally, I wouldn’t worry about scheming against Finn that sneaky little bastard!
Thinking of this, Valetta’s mood became increasingly cheerful! She even wanted to laugh out loud!
