Chapter 116 The Star of Dawn

    “This?”

    “Is it dark?”

    “That?”

At the moment Noah raised his sword, the world between Heaven and Earth suddenly fell into darkness.

To say it was darkness would be inaccurate, for above them in the sky, an exceptionally bright yet profoundly dark blue star suddenly appeared.

The star was undeniably bright to the n*ked eye, but as its rich radiance poured down like waves, the Servants felt the surrounding light abruptly dim.

It was as if all light had suddenly vanished, and the views from all directions became blurred, resembling the deepest darkness before dawn breaks.

Yet this dimness was not merely due to a lack of light; otherwise, with the Servants’ vision, even in a pitch-black enclosed space, it would still be no different from a clear summer afternoon.

The darkness before them was a kind of extreme convergence, as if everything, including light, sound, and matter, had been devoured, leaving no trace or information to escape.

The sounds of thunder, fierce winds, crashing waves, and even the heartbeats, breaths, and pulses of the Servants all vanished.

They exchanged glances, seeing the terror in each other’s eyes under the weakened light, yet fundamentally unable to hear the howls and roars they emitted.

A profound heaviness filled everyone’s hearts, as if they were facing an existence far beyond their own, instinctively holding their breath and focusing, waiting for its arrival.

That was the Star of Dawn.

The brightest celestial body in the night sky, second only to the Moon, between dusk and dawn.

It was also the embodiment of arrogance, surpassing the Creator as the most perfect creation, the source of all sins and evils in the world.

Wherever its gaze fell, all things bowed low.

Before its declaration arrived, all spirits fell silent.

Whether good or evil, strong or weak, light or dark, all lost their meaning at this moment, for everything in the world must submit beneath it.

Knowing danger was imminent, yet no one could muster the will to resist, they could only grit their teeth and endure.

Thus, although Noah’s voice was soft, it still echoed throughout the entire barrier.

“……The Purity of the Dawn’s Thousand Stars!”

As the words fell, the heaviness pressing on everyone’s hearts instantly dissipated, yet no one felt relieved.

For with the transition of light and dark in the sky, the Star of Dawn split from one into 2, and from 2 into 4.

In the blink of an eye, after 7 cycles of day and night, it transformed into hundreds, even thousands of giant stars, beginning to plummet at high speed!

The stars had yet to arrive, but the ground had already begun to shake, emitting a mournful rumble, and the sweeping Mana storm made one want to crawl on the ground.

Under Noah’s excited gaze, Iskandar (Rider)’s temples bulged with blue veins as he let out a thunderous bellow.

“O my warriors! The foe is one who possesses both divine and demonic nature; never yielding to any powerful enemy, a great Hero whom I cannot praise enough! Today, we shall answer his Fighting Spirit. Even if it means Failure, even if we fall to his strike, we shall bear no regrets!”

Despite the scene that should inspire fear, Iskandar (Rider)’s face twisted into a rude and excited grin.

“Isn’t it precisely because we can’t oppose, because we can’t reach, that there’s value in challenging! To meet such a hero and confront them in a life-or-death battle, even death would be without regret!”

Once more stirring himself, the army behind Iskandar (Rider) let out a noble and resounding roar, momentarily surpassing the thunderous descent of the winter stars.

“Divine Chariot of the Gods, begin your conquest! Wage distant devastation and dominion!”

Iskandar (Rider) unleashed his anti-army Noble Phantasm, leading the charge as the tip of the spear!

    “AAAlalalalalalaaie!”

Countless Heroic Spirits charged towards death without faltering, loosing an unending rain of arrows that blanketed the sky, manifesting the unyielding will of humanity and warriors.

In past battles, fewer than a hundred such indomitable warriors had earned Noah’s admiration, but now they were beyond counting, truly stirring his spirit.

He couldn’t comprehend it; just how breaking bones, severing limbs, and being incinerated by Blazing Fire wasn’t enough to elicit a plea for mercy.

A man should fall into hell and still fight to the death!

To answer this Fighting Spirit, he swung his long sword down upon the front without hesitation.

In the next moment, stars that should have been distant suddenly traversed space, enveloped in fiery flames as they hurtled through the void and descended like a storm!

For a time, numerous Explosions shredded the warriors, Mana’s brilliance Rising to the Sky, and the blood rain that almost turned the sky red evaporated before it could fall.

The earthquake trembled, letting out a groaning Wail.

Amidst the Explosions’ aftermath, Noah saw Iskandar (Rider)’s divine ox Battle Chariot charge through the smoke towards the horizon, but he didn’t pay him much heed.

For the King of the Army was but an appetizer; there was a more worthy opponent in the distance that deserved his attention.

Upon the Golden Ark, the 3 with already pale skin turned even paler as they watched the numerous giants fall from the sky.

“Hey! Acher! Are you done yet!”

“That’s about to be dropped on us!”

“Shut up, you women! Kiritsugu! Stop wasting time! Use the Command Spell already! If not, I, the king, will die here!”

After receiving the support of the Command Spell, Gilgamesh began to use the Noble Phantasm in his hand.

In an instant, a Mana storm surged in the void, with Mana converging and condensing to the point of becoming tangible.

The dense, molten-like Mana poured into the sword, but it didn’t react at all, like a mud cow entering the sea.

After an enormous amount of Mana had flowed in, the sword finally showed a reaction.

The black, cylindrical sword body, covered in red veins, rotated slowly, with the sections intersecting and grinding against each other.

Gilgamesh raised the sword, which couldn’t be described as a sword, above his head, and in the next moment, 3 sections tightly connected, like a chain, entwined and rotated, unfolding like a spiral.

In the next moment, a gust of wind blew, a fierce gale composed of ominous red light.

The 3 black sword tubes, with a power and weight that rivaled the movement of the earth’s crust, intersected, rotated, and ground against each other, and from the gaps in the sword body, a hurricane-like torrent of condensed Mana erupted, sweeping away all things.

The massive bundle of Mana shook the fundamental laws of creation, surging out and distorting space-time, inverting heaven and earth.

    “Recite it! EA!”

Gilgamesh, with scarlet eyes gazing at the distant stars, swung the sword down, but the Fundamental didn’t target anyone.

Because there was no need to target anyone.

The gale that sliced through was not limited to just the “Enemy”.

In an instant, only in an instant, when the bladeless black sword unleashed its power, the sky wailed, and the earth lamented.

Under this overwhelming power that covered all things in the world, its Offensive Arts could no longer be described in terms of accuracy or power.

Everything that the red wind pressure lightly swept over was reduced to Void… space-time distortion, atmospheric backflow, the earth cracked, and all things disappeared.

Even at the edge of destruction, the gravity of the distortion caused the continental crust to shift, triggering a flood akin to a mythological apocalypse.

“Noah! I, the king, acknowledge you as a worthy opponent, and so, I’ll use my full power! Enuma Elish!”

At the moment before the crimson Mana storm of Rising to the Sky collided with the falling stars, Artoria and Scáthach exchanged a glance.

For these two opponents who had just faced life and death yesterday, it was as if their souls were in sync, instantly understanding each other’s thoughts.

    “Avalon!!”

The strongest Barrier Noble Phantasm activated, and as the brilliance of an ideal land from a distant time and space poured down, it marked the beginning of a fierce collision.

    The heavens trembled!

    The earth shook!

The sky above, suddenly darkened, as if day and night were inverted, with a sticky, ink-like darkness.

Then, a fierce light and endless Mana storm, like the cosmic explosion that created the world, swept across the land.

    The ultimate, earth-shattering roar.

A torrent of destruction, devouring everything, annihilating all, drowned out the void.

Even under the protection of Avalon, Artoria felt her vision and hearing completely severed.

Was this the power of these two individuals when they went all out?

Noah was one thing, but how could this Golden Light Shiny, who looked like a lamp post and radiated a nouveau riche aura, be just as powerful?

Although she still had faith in her Star Forging Sword, Artoria didn’t have much confidence in herself.

She still couldn’t unleash the sword’s full power!

The intense Mana storm continued to collide, but Gilgamesh’s face, once handsome and disheveled, suddenly contorted in Distortion.

“This can’t be! Why?! Isn’t it an Inherent Barrier?”

Fortunately for Gilgamesh, Ea’s fierce wind Offensive Arts were not completely consumed by Noah’s Barrier.

However, the Mana Explosion’s aftermath from their clash could still be fully absorbed by the opponent.

Although it was a small amount, it was still dire news for Gilgamesh.

Because he had wanted to prolong the fight, utilizing Ea’s anti-world Noble Phantasm Destruction Barrier, but that plan had fallen through.

    Why?

    Wasn’t it an Inherent Barrier?

    Why couldn’t Ea destroy it?

As Gilgamesh fell into confusion, the tide of battle had already turned.

Even though he squeezed out his Mana, causing his body to ache, the scarlet wind was still being pierced by countless stars, bringing an intense sense of absurdity.

My strongest ally, Ea, couldn’t defeat the opponent’s Noble Phantasm?!!

    It’s ridiculous!!

    Can’t wait any longer!!

At this moment, Gilgamesh could only temporarily put aside his royal dignity and activate his final, desperate attack…

“Hey! You two done yet? I’m about to reach my limit!!”

    This Goldie (Gilgamesh) is fierce!

    He’s really going all out!

Although he was being suppressed by Goldie (Gilgamesh) head-on, Noah didn’t seem as carefree as he appeared.

Whether it was the excruciating pain of the massive Mana torrent surging through his Body, or the darkness and Intent to Kill flooding his mind while maintaining the Barrier, it was all challenging his sanity.

    Kill, kill, kill!

    Kill them all!

    Not a single one spared!

    To shred Gilgamesh to pieces!

    To mince him finely!

To destroy the Holy Sword in Artoria’s hands, and hear her cries and wails!

Let Scáthach, that old hag, experience what it feels like to be pierced through the Body by her own Lancer!

    Eliminate all Enemies!

Let everything in the world return to death and darkness!

The madness drove Noah to savor the pain, completely disregarding the imminent collapse of his Body, and continued to push forward.

Blood seeped from every inch of his skin, only to be instantly vaporized by the Mana storm, yet this still couldn’t stop Noah from gradually transforming into a blood-soaked, frenzied figure.

On the originally silver-white, gleaming longsword, a dark aura suddenly emerged and spread.

Though exceedingly rare, there was a depth that seemed to suck in even the soul.

Within the crystal-clear Dark Blue Arc, a few strands of deep red Flame were mixed.

Savage, brutal, scorching, and yet mad, like the eternal Flame of Karmic Debt burning fiercely in the depths of hell, fueled by sin and resentment…

Until suddenly, a sense of unease surged in his heart, a sharp pain in his chest…

    “Hmm?”

Unable to quickly break free from the onslaught of Gilgamesh’s attacks, Noah turned, raised his palm, and converged lightning Mana in his hand.

    “Gae Bolg!!”

The Speed of the first Lancer was too fast, especially the bizarre trajectory that corrected itself after Noah deflected it, making it impossible to defend against.

It finally pierced through his right chest, causing a Mana Explosion that shattered several Ribs.

Having gained experience dealing with the first Lancer, when the second one struck, Noah chose not to dodge but instead met it head-on, grasping it tightly in his hand!

The Strength of a Noble Phantasm of that rank was naturally not something to be taken lightly, not to mention Noah was also preoccupied with Gilgamesh’s attacks.

The Mana Explosion almost shattered Noah’s hand, with 5 white finger bones faintly visible.

Although he exerted all his strength, he could only watch as the tip of the Lancer slowly and steadily advanced towards his heart.

As he felt the pain of the muscles in his chest being slowly pierced, Noah gave Scáthach, who was also panting in the distance, a blood-covered, ferocious smile.

    “Hey! Old hag…”

Before Scáthach could react, Noah showed a hint of confusion.

Why do I always want to call her old hag?

    There’s no reason for it!

“Oh, sorry, I don’t know why I want to call you that either, but unexpectedly, to die by your hand, it’s a pity we haven’t had a proper fight yet!”

Scáthach showed a hint of speechlessness.

If it weren’t for that old…, she could have expressed the regret between warriors and conveyed her desire to be killed by him.

But now, she just wanted to properly deal with this disrespectful brat towards Elf females!

    Hmph!

What the heck, my Lancer is still quite accurate.

Lucky A+ can still pierce through!

Just then, Scáthach’s always composed and charming face suddenly changed dramatically.

    “Kotomine Kirei! You actually!!”

Like a balloon that had been popped, the Mana on Scáthach suddenly dissipated after an explosion that Noah couldn’t react to.

The Lancer that had pierced half an inch into his chest also suddenly lost its strength and fell to the ground.

Looking at his palm that was left with only bones, and then at his chest that had been shattered, Noah looked towards Scáthach, his face showing some confusion.

    What happened?

    Oh, and Gilgamesh.

I don’t know if he sensed something, but he actually relaxed his output on Ea.

Noah naturally wouldn’t be polite, suddenly increasing the supply of Mana.

Thus, after the stars flashed by, the unprepared Gilgamesh was immediately sent flying.

    “Noah!!! You’re playing dirty!!!”
