Chapter 12 Valetta: I rarely fall for someone like this

“You guys’ method of attacking Orario is pretty obvious. After all, you’re always running around like rats, so taking on Guild and other Familia head-on is practically impossible. But Orario has its own weaknesses……other than relying entirely on external food supplies, the main one is the Dungeon!”

Under Valetta’s intriguing gaze, Noah took a step forward.

“This endless treasure trove that shaped the bustling city of Orario is itself a giant bomb. If we detonate it, Orario will naturally collapse……As for Kagutsuchi, isn’t he the one who caused the Dungeon riot a few days ago?”

After finishing his words, the alley fell silent, with only the wind blowing through and the distant sounds of city life blending together.

A while later, Valetta clapped slowly, admiration shining in her eyes.

“Good job, good job. Just a few days ago, you could already see the situation clearly. Orario hasn’t seen someone as brilliant as you in who knows how long.”

Actually, Noah wasn’t revealing any earth-shaking secrets.

Instead, these insights into Orario and its key points can be understood by anyone with enough time.

After all, there aren’t many geniuses in this world, but they do exist.

When someone thinks they’ve come up with a brilliant idea that others haven’t, Absolute often has more than ten or even hundreds of individuals who have had the same thought.

This idea wasn’t implemented for Noah’s own reasons.

The plan to destroy Orario by detonating the Dungeon dates back several hundred years, when the Evilus was first established.

    But the problem is: how?

With Zeus Familia and Hera Familia and all those monsters surrounding them, breaking through the Dungeon requires summoning absolute monsters from layers 70 or below. Otherwise, you’ll be destroyed halfway through.

If the Evilus had the ability to enter the lower 70 layers of the Dungeon, they wouldn’t have to worry about this anymore.

Even today, with Orario at its lowest point—only one level 6 Adventurer and fewer than ten level 5 ones—breaking through 50 or more layers is still risky.

But for the Evilus, even gathering all their forces can only get them about 40 layers deep into the Dungeon.

While breaking through Babel Tower isn’t difficult, preventing Orario’s Adventurers from interfering during the process is the real challenge.

So, everything really boils down to one thing: strength.

This world doesn’t have that many geniuses!

The ultimate outcome of a decision and the fate of this world are determined by nothing but strength.

But that doesn’t mean the silver-haired boy in front of you isn’t impressive.

After all, someone who can see through things in an instant has a completely different destiny from someone who takes decades or even a lifetime to understand things.

Just like that, today the Black Sun Guild still has Large Number as a lower-level member. They still believe that by knocking out Freya and Loki Familia, they can completely destroy Orario.

This is probably why they were already at the bottom of Orario’s society before joining the Black Sun Guild and are now just cannon fodder.

“My name is Valetta Graid. What about you?”

Noah searched for this name in his mind and recalled that he had seen her portrait before, on the Guild board at the Dwarf Grand Archive.

However, it was just a fleeting glance back then, especially since the portrait had been weathered by sun and time for years and was now blurred. Noah didn’t even recognize her when they met face-to-face.

lv5, seems like a dangerous person. I wonder if I can beat him.

But it’s good because it allows me to better understand my strength in this world.

Plus, taking Valetta’s head would definitely attract the attention of Orario’s gods.

Sometimes, I want to find a top-tier Familia to rely on. It might be easier if I have all the Familias at my disposal.

Not a waste of time for me to starve and play this role for so long.

    “Noah Cipher.”

“Noah, Noah Cipher! We have the same Target and Enemy. Let’s cooperate!”

Valetta extends her hand to Noah.

If anyone saw this, they would probably be shocked.

The Slaughter Emperor, who kills people like it’s nothing, is actually preparing to shake hands with someone else.

“Let’s destroy Orario completely in the darkness together!”

Facing Valetta’s outstretched hand, Noah didn’t even move his foot. Instead, he arrogantly lifted his head.

“Just because of you and your Guild, a bunch of guys beaten down by Guilds like they’re bugs running around, are willing to cooperate with me?”

Valetta smiles in response to Noah’s dismissive glance, looking completely indifferent.

The more powerful someone is, the bigger their ego. She had prepared for this.

The Evilus and Europe are full of people with no backbone or brains.

Enjoy killing, Valetta thought, as it would free him from his daily thoughts.

“Noah, you coming to Europe just to mock us or sightsee? Let me guess, you’re thinking about this mission too, right? Or is your goal to destroy Europe?”

Noah’s expression darkened as if Valetta had struck a chord. His eyes burned with intensity as he stared at Valetta.

    “What are you really saying?”

Realizing Noah was upset, Valetta’s smile widened, and he slowly approached him.

“I just wanted to say that if your Chief Deity knew, he would probably think it’s better to work together to destroy Europe faster than what you’re doing now. Even letting Europe’s people suffer longer because of your anger? He might not approve.”

Standing with a furrowed brow, like he was deep in thought, Valetta tilted her head and spoke softly.

“Noah, you don’t want to disappoint your Chief Deity, do you?”

Snarling, Noah glared at Valetta with clenched teeth.

“You’re threatening me?! Do you really think I’ll bend over for a Xenos like you?”

Valetta raised one finger and waved it slowly in front of Noah.

“No, I’m not threatening you. I don’t want you to bow down either. I’m just stating a fact—working together to destroy Europe is fine with me. It doesn’t conflict with your goal to eliminate Xenos. Why settle for standing behind someone when you can stab them from behind?”

Valetta raised her hand again, extending it toward Noah.

“The best way to get rid of us Xenos is to let us all die alongside Europe together. That would make your Chief Deity look at you in a whole new light!”

Valetta didn’t need that kind of loyalty or intimacy from her teammates—she just wanted to destroy Europe and kill Finn, the arrogant fool. Her own death didn’t matter to her.

The Evilus was full of crazy people, Noah realized once again.

People are always bound by their desires. The more desires they have, the weaker they become.

Conversely, having fewer desires makes a person stronger.

Even an ordinary human can become surprisingly strong if they give up everything, including their own life.

Are the other members of the Evilus like that? Noah wasn’t sure, but Valetta seemed to be.

Luckily, Noah was the same way.

So he stretched out his hand with a look of mild dissatisfaction on his face.

“Hmph! Since you’re saying that, you can just wait.”

Valetta, who had been about to reach out, now smiles faintly before a sword unsheathes with a sharp sound in the alley.
