Chapter 13 True·Left a hand
Hearing the sound of a metallic blade unsheathing, Valetta’s cheerful expression suddenly turned pale.
With her right hand and Noah intertwined, she couldn’t pull away in time. She quickly stretched out her left hand with lightning speed!
Valetta slowly lowered her head, seeing Noah’s other hand holding a knife against her stomach.
Just one more step, and it would cut through her clothes and pierce her core.
If she hadn’t been gripping the opponent’s arm, today would definitely have ended in bloodshed.
“What are you planning to do?”
Valetta coldly raised her eyes, meeting Noah’s intense gaze.
Even though he didn’t speak, his piercing eyes seemed to say it all.
In just one second, Valetta figured everything out, staring in disbelief.
“Fundamental isn’t ours!”
Why?
Why did it turn out this way?
Finding a teammate with brains for the first time, I won’t have to continue suffering as a pig.
Two wonderful things intertwining should have allowed me to set down my burdens and enjoy unrestricted killing.
But why did it turn out this way?
I barely felt a spark!
You made me lose so thoroughly!
Enough!
Thinking back to her sincere invitation, Valetta’s anger at being deceived made her laugh mockingly.
Loki Familia’s flag should not have anything hanging on it; only the family emblem should be displayed!
Still colorful!
To recover some dignity from being treated like a fool, Valetta drew out a smile on her face, of course revealing her fangs—ferocious and bloodthirsty.
“What a pity, what a pity. You underestimated lv5’s strength too much!”
Unfazed by Valetta’s intense Bloodlust, Noah nodded in approval.
“Yes, lv5’s strength is still stronger than I imagined. If you don’t go all out, it might not even be your match… luckily, I left a hand.”
Hmmm?
Noah’s calm demeanor carried a hint of casual exasperation, making Valetta feel uneasy for some reason.
“A hand? What hand?”
“Of course, it’s this hand!”
In the brief gap between Valetta’s wide eyes and Noah, a third hand appeared, waving at her!
How is that possible?
Valetta can clearly feel that her right hand is gripping Noah’s right hand, while her left hand is pressing his left arm.
Could it be…
Valetta slightly tightened her grip with her right hand, causing the “right hand” in her palm to shatter into cotton fibers flying everywhere.
By the time Valetta realized and tried to retreat quickly, it was too late.
Noah’s “third hand” lowered, taking over the dagger from her left hand. The sharp blade pierced Valetta’s lower abdomen as it cut through the flying cotton fibers!
“Gush,” a sound of blood meat being stirred echoed, mixed with Valetta’s harsh breaths and cold gasps!
The intense pain radiating from the wound caused her pupils to dilate, and she fiercely lifted her head, letting out a deafening, heart-wrenching scream.
“My (expletive) god! My (expletive) kidneys!”

North City, in front of the Charity Feast stall.
“Ah! Don’t pull me! Don’t pull me! I still have so much to talk about with Nine Demon Princesses! Maryuu! Sethil! You should say something for me too!”
“Dummy Alise! Do you really think we’re doing this? Are we having a party? Get back to work, you idiot!”
“I’m the captain! Captain!! Nine Demon Princesses! We’ll talk again next time!”
Watching Alise being dragged away by the white-haired werewolf and black-skinned Amazon, Riveria forced a smile while gritting her teeth.
“Ugh, fine, fine, great, let’s talk again sometime!”
After waiting for all members of Asteria Familia to leave, the Elf Princess finally sighed deeply and unconsciously scratched her brow.
While Riveria does enjoy seeing a cheerful girl who can ease the tension in the air, she’s starting to feel overwhelmed by everyone’s enthusiasm. Still, as the leader of Familia, it’s her role to handle this kind of thing.
After all, she’s always been strict with her family members, maintaining a firm demeanor.
It’s like having an overly cheerful dog—no, wait, it’s more like a big dog!
Maybe Gareth Landrock should handle this next time. He might be better suited to chat with the younger members without any issues and even have a drink or dance until he goes crazy.
The thought crossed her mind involuntarily, and Riveria straightened up, lifting her staff as she turned around.
Just two steps away, Riveria saw the golden-haired girl at the edge of the crowd, lost in thought while looking around.
The way she’s gazing about—sometimes with a look of surprise and sometimes with one of disappointment—looks to Riveria like a child who has wandered off, searching for her parents.
Following after her, Riveria approached Ais from behind. She didn’t seem to have noticed anything yet, so Riveria couldn’t help but sigh deeply, her expression growing more complex with each passing moment.
While she should undoubtedly repay the debt of gratitude for saving her life, Riveria had spent a year caring for this young girl. Now, she’s so hung up on someone she’s only seen once, which makes Riveria feel a bit conflicted.
“Ais, are you looking for that person again?”
Ais was suddenly asked a question and shivered involuntarily, instinctively tightening her grip on the sword hilt and turning to see Riveria before she relaxed.
She recalled Elf Princess’s recent question and her expression became increasingly complex.
“Riveria, I…”
Confusion, bewilderment, hesitation, and loss… these emotions were clearly written on her small face, perfectly embodying the wordless state of mind.
It was clear she wasn’t refusing to answer; she herself didn’t know what was in her heart.
Even though at the time, it had been a fleeting moment where, with Blood’s blurred eyes, she had barely caught a glimpse of that figure before fainting unconscious, over the past few days, Ais’s mind kept replaying those memories to herself.
Whether awake or asleep, practicing sword skills, resting, eating, or sleeping… she couldn’t stop thinking about it.
The image grew increasingly vague with repeated mental rehearsal but also became more deeply ingrained in her mind.
She no longer remembered the details, only the sensation of being held by that person still lingered on her skin.
Over time, it didn’t fade away; instead, it became clearer and even hotter, as if seeping into her muscles and fusing with her bones.
That warmth could be felt again whenever she held herself close.
Yet this couldn’t change the confusion in Ais’s heart… she wanted to see that individual but didn’t know why.
What waves were left in her mind from that moment?
The joy of being saved at death’s door?
The desire to learn from someone stronger?
A sense of fatherly feelings from him?
It felt like all of those, yet none of them.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have known what to say even after seeing the person.
Her chest burned with a mixture of acid and heat, stirring up the long-held sorrow, melancholy, and regret that had been festering in her heart.
That sword light, like a moonlight cutting through the darkness…
Ais just like stumbling blindly in the dark night road, not knowing how long it had been, until she saw a light that could guide her way and couldn’t help but want to chase after it, touch it, feel it.
This anticipation kept building up, almost spilling over, making Ais herself a bit scared… if the other person was just an Ordinary Person who couldn’t answer her questions or respond to her expectations, how would she know?
Then Ais felt like she was being too selfish, only knowing how to ask for help from the one who saved her.
“Riveria, can I see him again?”
For this question, Riveria couldn’t give a guarantee because Loki Familia had been probing related individuals through various channels over the past few days but hadn’t gotten any concrete information.
“This is hard to say. Maybe it’ll take some time before you can see him again, or maybe you can see him in the next second…”
In the very next second, a scream echoed through the city sky.
“Noah Cipher! You this lowly and despicable creature!”
Ais instinctively pulled out her sword but froze in place the next second, a small smile appearing on her face as she looked toward the source of the sound.
“Riveria, you’re amazing!”
Looking at the distant silver-haired figure fighting with Valetta, Riveria was also frozen in place.
When did I learn advanced verbal magic?
