    Chapter 15 Reunion

Looking at the roof of an empty house being blown by the wind, Noah raises his long sword and sees his reflection on the sharp blade of the freshly battle-hardened sword from the Fierce Battle.

Valetta said he was lucky, but that wasn’t a promise he made to save face during his retreat.

Although Noah seemed to have the upper hand in their recent battle, defeating Valetta severely injuring him.

But Noah is well aware that, except for the first sneak attack, most of the injuries he inflicted on Valetra were inconsequential.

For a level 5 Adventurer, as long as their bones and internal organs aren’t damaged, it’s just flesh wounds.

As long as his blood isn’t dry, it’s just a matter of taking an Elixir of All Souls.

But Noah has already pushed himself to the limit, and with his Body still recovering, he won’t last long.

So, after a prolonged battle, Noah estimates he’ll have to retreat.

    Unless…

Noah lightly touches the cold blade of his sword, feeling the immense strength within it.

Unless Noah is willing to use all his power… that is, use Magic.

At this moment, Noah’s desire for ‘Falna’ suddenly became quite intense.

Whether in the previous World or the current one, Magic is crucial and wondrous, capable of turning the tide of battle.

Noah also has his own Magic, which was key to his victory over the Demon King.

But his Magic seems cursed, with a huge cost to use. Even minor usage takes three or four days to recover.

In the final battle of the previous World, Noah hadn’t unleashed all his power, using at most half of it before his Body was nearly destroyed.

Noah reflects on this World’s understanding and explanation of ‘Falna’… referred to as Ability Value, which is essentially the divine essence poured into the Human Body.

When the essence reaches a certain level, it must elevate the Body, making it larger.

If the Body isn’t strong enough and he forces it to bear Strength, there’s a risk of collapse.

Noah left the village at a young age to wander and survive, but True began learning combat skills only five years before his battle with the Demon King.

During these five years, Noah didn’t have time for proper training or rest; he had to constantly push his limits in battle.

Where else would a World Adventurer be able to display their body’s condition numerically and improve it based on the results? Noah thought it was because he hadn’t developed his “instrument” enough.

He felt that the reason he couldn’t fully harness Magic’s strength was due to his lack of development in his “instrument.”

…Sigh, even though both World Adventurers had legends where Heroes were surrounded by Elves and Fairies for support, Noah didn’t have anyone helping him or any time for proper training.

If he obtained “Falna,” he could not only improve his development of the “instrument” but also acquire usable Magic.

Moreover, this World Adventurer had a unique ability called “Skills,” which was on par with Magic.

So, it made sense to join a Familia.

As Noah heard the sound of breaking wind behind him, he lowered his sword and turned to meet the golden eyes in front of him.

    “Uh?”

That’s the little girl Noah saved a few days ago, isn’t it?

    “Hey, you’re welcome.”

Ais couldn’t remember what she was supposed to say.

After Riveria fulfilled her wish and saw the person again, she ran over as hard as she could.

But when she came face-to-face with them, she couldn’t say anything.

The intense running made her cheeks and Breathing Technique extremely hot. Her face was so scorched it felt like it might burn up, and her throat was parched.

The girl didn’t know why she felt this way; even though the level of running wasn’t much, her heart was racing.

Her heartbeat echoed in her mind as “dok-dok,” leaving her consciousness blank.

This kid wouldn’t be the one I didn’t protect properly, would she? Maybe her head got knocked silly back then?

Looking at the blonde-haired girl who doesn’t speak, Noah’s wet golden eyes blankly gaze at himself. Inside his mind, he can’t help but feel a little confused.

After all, he hadn’t brought a child to the battlefield before, and at the time, he was in a weakened state. If he hadn’t held steady, that little girl’s head might have ended up smashing against a stone or something like that.

Thinking about this, Noah’s idea of going to Loki Familia started to wobble a bit.

After all, if anyone were to come looking for compensation, wouldn’t he be the one taking initiative and walking right into their trap?

Maybe he should go find Freya’s Familia instead?

Through the library’s records, Noah learns that today, Elara is now connected with both Loki Familia and Freya’s Familia.

However, according to what Noah hears from others, Freya’s Familia doesn’t seem very impressive. It’s known for having a lot of internal conflict and not really focusing on exploration.

For Noah, who recently experienced betrayal, internal conflicts can be said to be the most painful.

But when that radiant, gem-like emerald light appears before him, Noah knows his confusion and hesitation are no longer necessary.

Anyway, he shouldn’t hold a grudge against someone who’s done him wrong.

    “Midday, midday.”

Seeing the silver-haired boy, Riveria is also unsure of what to say like Ais.

The main issue is that she knows absolutely nothing about this person. What else could they talk about?

However, when her eyes scan over the massive collapse on the house and the battle scars and bloodstains along the path, a sudden memory of the roar she just heard pops into her mind.

    Noah Cipher?

And that voice sounds like Slaughter Emperor, Valetta’s!

    Hey hey hey, really?

With a mix of disbelief, Riveria instinctively scans Noah. Despite his pale face and somewhat tattered clothes, there are no signs of injury on his body.

    So, those bloodstains must be…

Forming an answer that even she finds hard to believe, Riveria slightly widens her eyes,

“You, asking if you were battling a red-haired woman earlier?”

This time, Noah didn’t stay silent like last time; instead, he nodded.

“Oh? You’re talking about Valetta? She’s that crazy woman with some real power.”

Watching Noah smoothly sheath his silver sword while casually mentioning the ‘Slaughter Emperor’ Riveria—who had caused the entire city to turn pale—Riveria felt a bit speechless.

This boy, who seemed about the same age as the girls in Asteria Familia, managed to give the ‘Slaughter Emperor’ the upper hand.

How powerful are young people today?

    Do you know his background?

Last time, because the other side seemed reluctant to interact with him, Riveria didn’t ask out of politeness.

But this time, she felt it necessary to pay attention.

In today’s increasingly fierce battles between the Urban Alliance and the Dark Faction, what kind of strength could make the Slaughter Emperor lose?

“That incident last time, I think, was also because you helped my child before.”

Riveria, with her perfect etiquette as an Elf Princess, apologized by bowing low. Then she opened her emerald eyes and looked directly at Noah.

“I don’t know if you’re the Chief Deity from below; please be sure to tell me. Loki Familia will come to apologize and express their gratitude.”
