Chapter 26 Coach! I want to learn blacksmithing too!

After registering at the Guild, Riveria and Noah left Pantheon.

However, Riveria didn’t continue walking on the main road. Instead, she turned into a side alley after passing a few stalls.

After navigating through a winding alley that made Noah confident he’d get lost if he tried to walk it alone, they finally arrived at a stone-built house.

“Noah, do you know the main differences between production Familiars and exploration Familiars?”

“Yeah, I think so. Exploration Familiars are like our Loki Familia—they mainly focus on exploring dungeons to gather resources. As for production Familiars, I’m not too familiar with them. The main ones include Demeter Familia, which provides most of the crops in the city; Hephaestus Familia, which occupies a significant portion of weapon manufacturing; and Dian Cecht Familia, which handles medicine and medical services.”

At Noah’s analysis, Riveria nodded with a faint smile on her face.

It was unclear whether it was because Noah mentioned “our Loki Familia” or because this young member had some research on the city, but she didn’t seem to care much about where the Large Number of food supplies came from in the city.

Adventurers usually only know the locations of Weapon Shops, pubs, clinics, and Happy Street. How did they worry about the city’s population needing a Large Number of food supplies every day?

Being able to rank Demeter Familia first showed that Noah had some strategic thinking.

It was no surprise that Finn only met yesterday and said he wanted to train him.

“Hephaestus Familia is indeed the largest blacksmithing faction, but Goibniu Familia isn’t far behind. They have a priority partnership with us.”

Pointing to a badge decorated with three hammers on the door, Riveria pushed it open while explaining to Noah.

Goibniu Familia is known for weapon and armor blacksmithing, repair work, and building construction in the blacksmithing sector.

Despite having less fame and influence than Hephaistos Familia, their crafted weapons are unmatched in performance. They can be considered a straightforward and reliable Familiar.

The main difference between the two factions lies in their operations: Hephaestus Familia stores finished products at Weapon Shops throughout the city for sale, while Goibniu Familia only starts blacksmithing after receiving commissions from Adventurers.

In essence, they specialize in custom orders and offer lower prices compared to Hephaestus Familia when providing the same level of service.

Therefore, Goibniu Familia is more popular among Advanced Adventurers.

Loki Familia has a priority partnership with Goibniu Familia.

Simply put, Goibniu Familia should prioritize Loki Familia for weapon smithing and maintenance services.

While Loki Familia’s materials from the Dungeon are also prioritized for Goibniu Familia to choose and purchase.

This privilege is unique to Loki Familia, as few can delve deep into the Dungeon Floors to obtain rare materials.

Besides Familia, some Adventurers will directly contract with blacksmiths, such as Gareth and Hephaestus Familia’s ‘Blind Artisan’ for promotion purposes.

    “Is anyone in there?”

Upon entering a building resembling the ‘workshop,’ Noah feels a sense of heat emanating from within, dispelling the cold winter wind outside.

It seems Riveria is shouting to overcome the loud clangs of iron hammers.

A muscular man with his upper body bare exits the building, wiping sweat from his head while greeting Riveria.

“Oh! That’s not Nine Demon Princesses, is it? What’s this young brother?”

    “Our Familia’s new member.”

Noah bows politely to the stranger. “I’m Noah Cipher, please excuse me.”

“That guy, is GoibniuChief God in there? I have a matter to discuss with him.”

“The old man’s inside; come in.”

    “Thank you.”

Riveria escorts Noah through the door, entering the room.

The room is sparsely furnished but lacks warmth due to the weapons hanging on the walls.

Inside, a man resembling an old person sits, staring at a long sword in his hand.

Despite his wrinkled face, his appearance remains noble and tall with high cheekbones, white hair, and white beard.

Quan Yu’s physique is muscular without any excess fat, reminiscent of a Dwarf.

Riveria and Noah aren’t sneaking in, but this God is still staring at the long sword in his hand, not even giving them a glance.

Riveria didn’t speak, and Noah could only stand quietly beside him, eyeing those weapons that looked plain but made him feel superior.

After about three or four minutes, the white-haired old man—Goibniu—finally lowered his sword and looked at Riveria.

“Anything I can help you with?”

“This is one of our Familia’s new recruits. I want to make weapons and armor for him.”

    “Oh?”

Thinking it was just a casual visit, Noah prepared to bow when he heard this and turned to look at Riveria.

    ‘I don’t have a penny on me…’

Riveria blinked his single eye, his refined face showing a hint of playfulness.

‘No worries, I’ll borrow it. I’ll return it later.’

After hesitating for three seconds, Noah gave up his confusion and continued bowing to Goibniu Chief God.

Why not have a meal? It’s not like he owes anyone anything.

Can’t just refuse the armor because of pride, can he?

If he really couldn’t pay it back, then…

“Your Familia always knows how to find the best recruits.”

After staring at Noah for about ten seconds, Goibniu finally spoke those heavy words.

Facing such praise, Noah was like many children praised by their relatives. He didn’t respond or argue; he just stayed silent.

    “What’s the budget?”

“This kid’s Growth is probably way beyond your imagination, so normal armor would be a waste. Let’s go all out and make armor worth five million Valis instead.”

Even Goibniu, who had been calm and composed, raised an eyebrow when he heard this and looked at Noah again.

“Hmm, do you think he’s that good? I’ve got some decent materials recently. Armor is more than enough, but weapons…”

Hearing the phrase “five million Valis,” Noah felt a bit dizzy and quickly interrupted Goibniu.

“Well, armor alone should be fine. I think my weapons are good enough.”

Under Goibniu’s gaze, Noah pulled his sword from its scabbard.

With a ‘snort’ sound, the fully silver blade gleamed with light, casting a cold shadow in the room.

Goibniu’s face, like a sculpture of iron, suddenly sprang to life as his eyes widened.

“Kid, can I see your sword?”

Before Noah hesitated, he added another sentence.

“Armor at half price for you guys? Just take four million Valis.”

Seeing Goibniu so readily offering a 20% discount, Noah realized there was a lot of money to be made here.

Good guy, brow furrowing, honest and goofy. Honestly, you guys make less than the Hephaestus Familia!

    All merchants!

I’ll eventually learn how to forge steel too. Money is flowing in too fast!
