Chapter 34 Direct access to the 12th floor.

Passing through the large hole beneath the first level of Babel Tower, one arrives at the spacious boulevard known as the ‘Path of Departure.’

Despite the solid and broad stone path, which could accommodate several carriages side by side, it gave an impression of winding and narrow, dimly lit alleys.

With every step, the dark and cold walls on either side seemed to press in, as if they might close in and crush them.

Entering a cave resembling a colossal beast, Noah stopped, closed his eyes, and took a gentle breath of the surrounding air.

It was his second time entering the Dungeon, but only now did Noah begin to truly feel it.

Phosphorescent light illuminated the surroundings, the dome above was fairly spacious, but upon entering the Dungeon, everything felt different.

A breeze could stir up a howling roar within the caverns, like a monster issuing a battle invitation to adventurers.

Sun, moon, stars, winter, summer, the symbols of the outside world were all left behind.

Ahead lay a deep abyss filled with endless danger, extending infinitely downward, with not even the gods knowing where it ended.

Endless predators, endless danger, endless battles…

The omnipresent sense of danger in the air surged through him like static electricity, making Noah’s hair stand on end, his breaths grew longer.

His heartbeat quickened, pumping hot blood through his body, his muscles tensed involuntarily.

There’s no mistake, this is where I belong, this is my true nature…

Ais and Riveria also stopped beside him, silently watching Noah, recalling their own first time entering the Dungeon.

    Fear, tension, excitement, dread…

Those emotions were still vivid, almost as if reliving the moment, and they wondered what feelings Noah was experiencing.

When Noah reopened his eyes and swept his tranquil gaze forward, Ais and Riveria felt a chill like a sword’s edge slice through their souls.

But upon looking again, Noah’s eyes had returned to calm, leading them to doubt if it was just their imagination…

    No, it wasn’t an illusion.

Riveria and Ais looked at Noah, both certain in their hearts.

In Noah’s deep blue eyes, something had vanished… the usual calmness with a hint of laziness.

Yet something else emerged… a cold determination akin to a savage beast locking onto its prey.

Although they couldn’t see the emotional fluctuations, both Ais and Riveria understood that this was just a frozen ice layer on top of a rapid undercurrent.

It was like a Magic Sword containing extremely high-density Mana, which, even when simply sheathed, would involuntarily draw one’s gaze.

Ais’s eyes widened as she stared at the silver-haired boy, who seemed unfamiliar to her.

She could still recall the anxiety and fear she felt a year ago when she first entered the Dungeon, and now she was trying to find common ground with Noah.

    But she Failed.

Just from his gaze, Ais recognized the immense, insurmountable gap between them.

Noah was different from herself… he was a strong one.

The shivers and even fear that spread throughout her body made Ais realize this.

    “Let’s go.”

Without noticing the gaze between the two, Noah took the lead and started walking towards the depths of the cavern.

Not long after, they heard the Dungeon walls automatically crumbling.

Among the falling debris, Monsters emerged from their curled-up positions, stretching out to reveal their true forms.

With deep gray fur, short and hunched bodies, yet able to walk upright, they had sharp claws and fangs that gleamed with a cold light.

Especially their crimson eyes, filled with malice, which embodied the fundamentally different life essence of Monsters compared to all living beings in the Mortal World.

Kobolds, like Goblins, were among the weakest Monsters in the Dungeon, found from the first to the fifth floor, differing only in their frequency and numbers.

They were cannon fodder-level Monsters that even adults with weapons could defeat.

It was just that this type of Monster didn’t really inspire a desire to battle.

Despite thinking this, Noah, facing over 30 Kobolds, slowly drew his long sword from his waist.

With a ‘WHOOSH’ sound, the silver long sword was unsheathed.

In the instant the silver light flashed through the dimly lit cave, Noah transformed into a Phantom, slashing his sword forward!

    Three hours, twelfth floor!

The surrounding luminescence faded, and in the withered forest, shrouded in a haze like a gloomy morning mist, Riveria and Ais stared at the scene before them in awe.

As the silver sword fell, the Sword Qi tore through the mist and smoke, engulfing 5 Half-Orcs, each over 3 meters tall, in its slash.

Before the Half-Orcs could fall and turn to dust from the lethal attack, the ash-silver figure, along with the violent Sword Qi, seemed to drive forward like a streak of moonlight.

Unlike the upper levels, which were composed of numerous intersecting caves, this level was a jungle area with dense undergrowth and dead trees, enveloped in a white mist that seemed to emerge from nowhere.

Across the wide plains, a figure moved from left to right, cutting a swathe through everything in its path without dodging or changing course.

Slashing, hacking, piercing, cleaving…countless offensive arts transformed into blades, shattering the barriers and obliterating every monster in their reach.

The sword of justice, leaving behind countless phantoms, roared as it swept through everything, turning countless monsters into dust and bones.

Sensing the threat, the monsters unleashed a barrage of vicious offensive arts, claws, fangs, clubs, and rocks, but they all missed the young figure by a hair’s breadth before being cleaved apart with a sickening crunch.

Noah, passing beneath a giant log that rolled down from the silverback ape, didn’t even look back.

Relying on an instinct, he whipped out his sword with a backhand strike.

Just as the silverback ape was about to die, Noah jumped off the log, using its momentum to land with a thud.

As he landed, he kicked the hard-shelled rat’s chest, shattering it.

Although a single sword strike had cleaved through over ten of the small devils, Noah’s target wasn’t them.

His gaze was fixed on a figure shimmering with an amber glow in the distance.

A long tail, sharp teeth, 4 legs, and amber scales reflecting a cold, hard light.

A young dragon, a rare monster that appeared on the 11th and 12th floors.

Though it lacked wings, its hard scales and powerful muscles gave it an incredible defense that surpassed all other monsters in the upper levels, making it the undisputed king of the dungeon.

Twenty or so young dragons appeared before Noah.

Every time this many showed up, it meant an adventuring party would receive a message of a junior adventurers’ annihilation.

With a flick of his wrist, Noah unleashed a wide-sweeping slash that dispersed all the offensive arts.

Then, he slammed his foot down on the ground, releasing a burst of air.

Noah, accelerating with incredible speed, became a whirlwind of motion.

Charging head-on, Noah crossed the path of the young dragons’ tails, which slammed into the ground like hammers, just before their blows could connect.

Reaching the edge of the cavern, he didn’t slow down.

Instead, he sped up and launched himself towards the ceiling.

He rocketed halfway up, flipped his body, and landed on the ceiling, propelling himself outward!

As Noah moved at a speed beyond human vision, his body began to blur.

The sword, along with his being, transformed into a silver streak.

The young dragons roared in fury, then shattered!
