    Chapter 4 Ais

Ais leaped up and slashed the Azureblade at the junction of Wyvern’s huge wings and body with all her strength!

The strike penetrated Dragon Scale’s defense, causing blood to spurt out from the dragon’s wings.

Wyvern lost his balance and roared, making an emergency landing.

Ais ignored everything and attacked one of the wings with all her might, intending to cut off Wyvern’s means of flying.

Even when attacked by Dragon Claw Counter Attack, it only dodged the vital parts with minimal force, and ignored other parts.

Every time Kagutsuchi splashed, Dragon scale fragments and blood sprays that could not be distinguished from the enemy and friend were scattered.

When Ais retreated again to avoid the fatal strike and launched another attack, Wyvern suddenly turned with agility that was inconsistent with its huge body.

The scale-covered tail rolled up a cyclone, sweeping away everything that came close.

Ais was caught off guard and his golden eyes widened. He could only hold the sword across his chest and take the huge impact like a battering ram.

The huge Strength made all of Ais’s Tech ineffective. Her Armor deformed and peeled off. She heard the sound of Body Bones Distortion breaking in her mind.

Blood sprayed from her mouth, and the girl’s thin body flew out easily like a fallen leaf.

    “Cough, cough…”

When Ais came to her senses and struggled to raise her head, she found herself surrounded by a Purgatory-like fire wall.

Wyvern looked down at her with his bright red vertical pupils, and red flames began to gather in his mouth.

Its Light covered Ais’s vision, and the burning pain all over her body conveyed the message of death.

Am I going to die here…

    How can I…

I still have things to do…

But, I will be free now…

In the red world created by the Blazing FireHeat Wave, everything in front of Ais, including herself, is slowly melting.

Her consciousness becomes hazy, and time becomes slow.

Just as she slowly closed her eyes, waiting for the end to come……

In the next instant, a clear sword cry tore through the Everything chaos and clamor, penetrating countless sorrow, anger, and despair, reaching the girl’s heart.

It was like a cool breeze in the middle of a scorching summer afternoon, sweeping across endless plains, stirring up bright white clouds and driving through the deep blue sky.

Scattering chaos, calming turmoil, healing sorrow, suppressing darkness, and restoring consciousness from black flames.

The swordlight like a moon’s shadow slid over, illuminating Ais’ eyes.

She lifted her head, taking in that fleeting silhouette of light that seemed to pass through the air like moonlight.

That sword was completely different from all the swords she had seen before and even those she had fought alongside Ais.

There was no Energy Momentum, no sound, no brightness.

Only a shimmering silver luster that drew attention to itself without any struggle.

But even that single sword precisely pierced Wyvern’s eye and drove its head clean through.

Wyvern roared violently, unable to expel the Flame breath it had accumulated. It burst open in its sharp-jawed mouth, tearing out its own Upper Jaw and spilling a stream of molten lava onto the ground.

This scene matched something deep in Ais’ memory.

That was when she had not yet received ‘Falna’s’ human body, giving her a hopeless, heavy, and painful defeat while using her high-level sword skills to flee……

    “Dad, Daddy……”

A strange feeling suddenly surged through her entire body.

Ais’ carefully built fortress of inner strength collapsed in an instant after a year of brutal battles, revealing the small girl hidden beneath the ‘war maiden’s mask’.

Waves of timid and weak emotions overflowed, with hot tears blurring her vision.

She pulled her sword out of Wyvern’s eye and kicked Noah as hard as she could in the chest, where Dragon Blood was spewing forth.

While Noah flipped through the air, she used her spinning force to slash at Wyvern’s chest with a sidestep.

This sword shattered the Scale Armor on Wyvern’s already broken and bloodied chest, sending a geyser of blood spilling out.

No, it’s not just Blood gushing out. There’s also the Flame breath that was channeled to its limit and then swallowed back again.

Explosions continued one after another, tearing apart the dragon’s muscular body, causing it to roar in a guttural manner as blood flew everywhere.

As Noah approached the golden-haired girl, he lifted her like a kitten by the neck, and the wyvern’s body began to expand mid-air before finally disintegrating completely.

In that instant, it felt as though a sun had appeared in the cave, casting its flickering light across the walls.

The fusion of Light and Flame into Mana created a storm that swept through everything.

It tore apart the walls and then melted and evaporated along the cracks until the entire cave was expanded outward from the inside out.

After the Mana storm subsided, a pile of rocks in one part of the cave collapsed, revealing Noah’s head. He cautiously looked around, still trembling from the encounter.

Once he confirmed there was no danger left, Noah stood up from the rubble, still holding the golden-haired girl like a kitten.

He checked her pulse and relaxed when he realized she was still alive.

Just after crossing over, his injuries weren’t fully healed yet. He ended up coming to this hellish place for what? Just for this unlucky kid?

If she dies, then he’s basically come here for nothing.

“Now that kid is really intense! Such a big dragon didn’t even run away; it just charged right in.”

While Noah felt that way, he also knew that if not for the golden-haired girl distracting the wyvern, his sneak attack wouldn’t have worked.

Despite hating headhunters, Noah had to admit they were fun when they were at their best.

And honestly, he didn’t even manage to take her head because she hadn’t won a fight yet.

    He basically saved her life.

Well, now isn’t the time to nitpick. He needed to find a place to heal her and himself as soon as possible.

But Noah didn’t have any healing skills, so he had no choice but to go to GroundImproving.

However, when he thought back to his escape through the labyrinthine cave, it made him wince a bit.

“I didn’t mark anything. How long until I can get to Improving?”

While it was hard to admit, Noah did have a tendency to get lost.

In a city you’ve been in for too long, it’s fine, but once you step into the wilds, you’re bound to take the wrong path.

Even in the outdoors where you can climb high and use the stars to observe directions, it becomes even harder in this cave with no clear east or west, day or night.

I hope we can get out before the blood dries.

However, when Noah had just taken his first step, he suddenly felt a strange sensation… That was Mana convergence, about to explode.

The location is probably in front of you, behind some rubble in the cave.

But this Mana explosion isn’t dangerous, so Noah just watched as the rubble ahead exploded open.

    “Ais!! Where are you?”

Amidst the smoke, a green figure appeared.

That was an Elf female with sharp ears, gem-like emerald-green hair, and a stunning appearance.

She seemed to be in a state of sorrow after arguing with her rebellious daughter, then suddenly remembered her daughter had run off, so she frantically ran into the dark night to find her mother.

The next second, Noah and her locked eyes, both falling silent.

    Until…

    “Father…”

The golden-haired girl that Noah was holding suddenly woke up and immediately threw herself into his arms, crying uncontrollably.

Noah instantly opened his eyes wide in shock.

    I’m gone!

    You little brat!

    Don’t hurt me!!
