Chapter 46 The girls of the Asteria Familia.

    “Hi there, Swordsman-san!”

While Noah was still reeling from the Energy Momentum of the blonde Elf, which was even more terrifying than a Goliath, a flash of vibrant red burst into view with an energy that was as erosive as a rampaging bear.

“I am the Guild Master of the Asteria Familia! Pure, Justice, Beautiful, also known as the Red Justice Flower, a Level 3 Adventurer, that’s me, Alise Lovell! Thank you for saving our Familia members just now!”

Meeting those Emerald Eyes full of sunshine and vitality, Noah listened to her self-introduction, then secretly glanced at the blonde Elf and discovered she had already turned away.

What the heck is going on?

With confusion in his heart, he extended his hand without changing his expression.

“Loki Familia, Noah Cipher, it was also my mistake just now, causing you to be affected by the Shockwave Effect. I am very sorry.”

Before Alise could reply, she was pushed aside by another Human girl with short, dark brown hair.

No, it should be said that she was literally ‘bumped’ away.

“How can it be your fault?! It’s all because the Dungeon and Goliath are too cunning! They play dirty tricks when they can’t win! Speaking of which, how did you train your Swordsmanship? It’s amazing! Can you teach me? Oh, and other training techniques, like what do you like to eat? How old are you this year? What are your hobbies?”

Watching the short-haired girl with dark brown hair holding his hands and chattering excitedly, Noah’s expression became a bit stiff.

“Uh, may I ask, um, who are you?”

“Me? I’m Noin! Noin Ulrica, you can just call me Noin! I’m 15 years old! Ah!!”

The final Scream was because Noin, like Alise who had been bumped away earlier, also ‘flew’ out.

However, the person who came was not the Amazonian that Noah expected, but a wolf girl.

Judging by her appearance, she should be a bit older than Noah.

Possessing the tallest figure in the Asteria Familia, only half a head shorter than Noah, her limbs were flexible and supple, wrapped in brown skin.

With white hair like Noah’s, but closer to a mineral texture, there were tall, upright wolf ears among the fluffy short hair.

“My name is Neze Rankett, I’m a little older than you, you can call me Nee-san! Eh? Swordsman-kun, your hands are surprisingly small. I thought you’d have arms as sturdy as a Dwarf’s. You better eat more!”

It’s going to be tough for a Human to have arms as thick as a Dwarf’s, right?

And is your attention a little off?

This time Noah didn’t even have time to speak before the she-wolf was stopped.

But she was luckier than Alise and Noin; she wasn’t knocked away, just told off.

“Enough, Neze, you two are scaring the poor guy!”

Dressed in a kimono that clashed with the Dungeon’s environment, the black-haired Swordsman bowed to Noah, revealing a perfect, elegant smile.

“Gojou-no Kaguya, the Vice Captain of Asteria Familia.”

But Noah wouldn’t be fooled by her appearance.

Whether it was the ‘intuition’ given by his skills or the Bloodline within him awakened by Falna, both were telling Noah that this Kaguya was a dangerous woman.

Not from the perspective of an Adventurer’s strength, but from the perspective of a ‘woman,’ very dangerous.

As if telling Noah, if he underestimated her, he would pay a heavy price.

“That’s right! Neze! Even for a werewolf, that’s too rough, don’t you think?”

“Noin! You have the nerve to say that to someone else!”

Witnessing the bickering of her crew members, Leila walked up to Riveria and shook her head, sighing.

“Sorry, Nine Demon Princesses-sama, our crew members are just so unreliable. After all, the captain is like that too.”

    “…No need to apologize.”

Looking at Noah surrounded by the Asteria Familia girls, Riveria couldn’t help but clench the staff in her hand.

This might not be their fault either.

Under the urging of Riveria, the more respectable elder, and Leila, and Kaguya, the party finally headed towards the surface.

The vast hall soon fell silent, only the scattered rocks, still not back to their original state, silently narrating the intense battle that had just occurred.

Until a Distortion of light flashed in a very inconspicuous corner of the stone hall.

    *

“The Guy who is more despicable than Finn!!”

Distortion of the light and shadow, in the boundless and deep corridor, an angry roar filled with anger echoed.

    *

It felt like the Dungeon was practically kicking out the unwelcome guests.

On the way back to the surface, Noah and his crew didn’t run into any Monsters.

But, climbing up and figuring out the direction, they didn’t really save much Time on the way back.

Back on the surface, the sky was, as expected, pitch black.

The Asteria Familia’s base, the ‘Garden of Stars’, was also in the north of the city, across the street from the Twilight Manor, so they all headed north together.

Even though they were getting blasted by the Bitter Winter Wind, everyone felt a sense of relief.

The girls from Asteria Familia started chatting, talking about having a good meal, taking a bath, and buying some clothes.

But, there was one thing that was bugging Noah…

    “I see!”

Keeping his head facing forward without changing his expression, Noah suddenly glanced at a corner of the group out of the corner of his eye.

It was at the other end of the group, the furthest away from Noah, with the most people in between, standing the ElfSwordsman named Ryu Lion.

After Noah’s glance, she seemed to notice something, her head moving slightly, and she looked forward.

At first, Noah naturally thought it was just his imagination.

But as they walked up, the feeling of being watched kept coming back, and he was sure of one thing… that blonde Elf was checking him out.

    What was she up to?

Planning to punch him in the face?

While Noah was thinking about this, he felt someone approach.

It was Noin, the dark brown Short-haired Girl.

She looked at Noah with eyes the same color as her hair, and there seemed to be some expectations in them.

“Hey, Noah, why do you use that kind of Battle style?”

Because, that kind of Battle is so damn cool… When Noah was instinctively about to blurt out his thoughts, he Discovered that the other girls were also looking at him.

Although some of them, like Noin, had similar curious and expectant eyes, such as the wolf Alise, Niez, and the young Elf.

But there were also some not-so-friendly gazes… Mainly the Armor-clad female Dwarf vanguard Asta Knox, and the Arcanist with the staff, Liana·Liz.

Of course, it wasn’t Malice, it was just like seeing others with bad habits, but lacking the standing to correct them, so they could only frown and endure it.

That feeling was as if some kind of argument had broken out between them, and they had decided to let him, an outsider, make the ruling.

What the hell is going on?

It feels like, somehow, a crucial argument took place when I was distracted.

I have this déjà vu feeling, like when I’m in class and I close my eyes, and when I open them again, Riveria’s Magic Deduction Board has suddenly expanded by several pages.

In just 3 seconds, Noah thought it over several times and finally decided to tell the truth.

When you’re not sure what’s going on, lying often makes things worse.

Only after they could see the distinctive tower of Twilight Manor in the distance did Noah give a response.

“…because, I used to be physically weak, with low Strength, so I had to rely on schemes, tricks, and techniques to win battles. But after getting Falna, I’ve been wanting to try winning with just brute Strength… that’s all.”

Upon hearing this answer, Noin’s expression became complex… a mix of disappointment and confusion, like a struggling student who discovers that the genius’s approach to solving a problem is too advanced to understand, but is too embarrassed to ask again.

The other girls were the same.

However, this had nothing to do with Noah, who just wanted to find a place to indulge in a big meal, so he parted ways with them.

The girls walked in another direction, and just as they were about to enter the Garden of Stars, Alise, who was at the front of the group, suddenly stopped in her tracks, staring blankly ahead.

    “Huh? Alise, what’s wrong?”

“Just now, did that Noah guy say ‘after recently getting Falna’?”

The girls fell silent, and then a scream pierced the night air: BOOM!

    “Could it be…?”

    “No way!”

“You’ve got to be kidding me!”
