Multiverse Adventure – My Journey Begins in Danmachi 64

    Edited by: Tiny Fan Fiction

    Chaper 64 Huh, off target?

    “Defend!”

For the Evilus Faction, who were notorious for their evil deeds in the city and were hated by all, that streak of golden wind was a more feared figure than even the top adventurers like the Nine Hell (Riveria) or the strongest warriors.

After all, the famous heroes of Orario had their own arch-nemesis, the high-ranking members of the Evilus Faction, and didn’t have the leisure to deal with these low-level minions.

But the girls of the Asteria Familia didn’t care if they were just small fries.

These young girls, who were at the forefront of the battle against evil, would mercilessly strike down anyone who committed crimes, whether it was murder, arson, or theft.

Among them, the ones who left the deepest impression on the people of the city and the Evilus Faction were the red-clothed girl wielding flames, Sword Radiance’s Gojouno Kaguya, and the golden wind before them!

Even though the Evilus Faction members in this area were relatively elite, if they weren’t fighting as a group and had Valetta commanding them from behind, they would have probably fled in all directions by now.

As they faced the incoming golden wind, the Evilus Faction members raised their Magic Swords, unleashing a variety of colorful lights…

But, a flash of light filled their vision.

Unlike the dazzling light of the Magic Sword explosion, it was a deep blue glow that seemed to swallow all light and sound, a solemn and silent radiance.

    “Thunderous Roar…”

Along with the numbness and tingling sensation on their skin, a majestic chant with a strange Mana spread out.

Although the voice was soft, as if coming from the horizon, it seemed to be spoken directly into everyone’s ears.

Then, a flash of lightning illuminated the scene – ZAP!

Just as the Electric Arc Flame, icy gusts, and numerous Mana blasts from the Magic Swords were about to strike the golden wind, a figure wrapped in dark blue lightning appeared out of nowhere, arriving before the attack!

Almost simultaneously, a sword light that could cut through anything arrived, slicing through all obstacles!

More than ten of the Evilus Faction’s elite members were instantly killed, their Magic Swords shattered, as the sword light passed through them.

The massive amount of Mana lost control, creating a colossal chain explosion that shook the earth – BOOM!

    Wow, that’s amazing!

I, Fundamental, couldn’t even see how it happened!

As the radiant flames of Rising to the Sky illuminated her face, Riu’s vision finally caught up to Noah, who had somehow managed to overtake her and reach the Evilus Faction members, striking down with a swift slash.

No, that was already his second strike!

This time, the electrifying Sword Qi emanating from his silver-white blade shattered the Mana Explosion before Riu, clearing a path to the unconscious children.

Along the way, Riu didn’t need to waste any thought on dodging or using Offensive Arts, as the enemies were cut down by the sweeping sword light the moment she laid eyes on them – a truly DanMachi-esque display of prowess.

The exhilarating feeling of charging through the enemy ranks was reminiscent of the thrill she felt on New Year’s morning, waking up to don her new innerwear – a sensation that left her breathless, much like the epic quests of the Type-Moon universe.

Being carried by her teammate felt amazing, a true testament to the power of camaraderie, as seen in the adventures of Bell Cranel and his friends in the Dungeon.

However, reality wouldn’t let Riu bask in this feeling for long, jolting her back to her senses.

The distance between Riu and the children, spanning hundreds of meters, was bridged in an instant.

Riu, along with Noah, had already closed in to within 20 meters of Valetta.

Given Riu and Noah’s speed, as well as Valetta’s abilities as a First-Class Adventurer, covering this distance was a mere blink of an eye – they were practically face-to-face, a standoff reminiscent of the intense battles in Fate.

Riu’s nerves didn’t relax; instead, they grew taut, her peripheral vision locked onto Valetta with unyielding intensity, much like the focus of a seasoned hero from the world of anime.

If the opponent were a mindless killer like the White-Haired Ghost, Riu wouldn’t be so vigilant, but this was a foe known for outwitting even the heroes of the land, a true Slaughter Emperor.

Standing before her was the infamous Valetta, known for her cunning and ruthlessness, a reputation that commanded respect, much like the legendary heroes of the Fate series.

Although it pained her to admit it, Riu acknowledged that she was far outmatched in terms of schemes and strategies, a realization that echoed the sentiments of many a hero in the world of anime.

Would the Slaughter Emperor really let her take the children without a fight, a notion that seemed almost too good to be true, like a plot twist from a Type-Moon story?

Riu didn’t need to think twice to know this was impossible – a sentiment that resonated with the harsh realities of the DanMachi world.

Perhaps there were bombs set on the hostages, or traps laid around them, or maybe the hostages were even Evilus Faction members in disguise – Riu, having paid the price in past battles, was all too familiar with these tactics, a grim reminder of the dangers that lurked in the shadows of the anime world.

Thus, she gripped her sword tightly while observing both Valetta and the children, anticipating every possible scenario, a calculated move that would put even the most seasoned heroes to the test.

Yet, all her calculations were for naught, a shocking turn of events that left her reeling, much like the unexpected plot twists of the Fate series.

No matter how much she thought ahead, Valetta’s actions surpassed Riu’s every expectation, a move that seemed almost too clever, too calculating, a true masterpiece of strategy.

Because, in the end, Valetta didn’t move at all – she simply stood there, motionless, without even a defensive or offensive stance, a silence that was more unnerving than any attack, a testament to the cunning of a true Slaughter Emperor.

This inaction, this stillness, was what made Riu feel truly uneasy, a sense of foreboding that seemed to echo the ominous tones of the anime world, where even the most seemingly innocuous moments could hide the greatest dangers.

It was that gaze, that smile, that expression, which wasn’t one of disdain, but rather the thrill of watching prey fall into a trap!

    Something is wrong!

Ryu subconsciously scanned the unconscious children… 3 girls, 2 of whom looked similar, perhaps sisters, but all around 5 or 6 years old.

They were just ordinary kids, with no signs of anything out of the ordinary.

Even Elf’s instincts told her that.

Should she retreat or press on, or maybe target Valetta?

Even if Valetta were to slash her to bits, Ryu wouldn’t be this indecisive, as that would just require her to grit her teeth and fight on.

At this critical moment, a deep blue gaze flashed before her eyes.

“Do what you want to do.”

The normally intimidating thunder Sound now sounded like a gentle rain outside her window on a sleepy afternoon.

I’ll just rescue the kids and get out of here!

Leaving them behind will only weigh me down!

With her doubts cleared, Ryu’s body seemed to become lighter, her Speed increasing to a visible degree.

The golden-haired Elf’s sudden shift from hesitation to determination was so abrupt that by the time Ryu had wrapped the girls in her cloak and taken them away, Valetta had only just reacted.

    “Hah, whatever…”

After all, they weren’t the main course, just appetizers that had escaped.

Valetta turned her attention to Noah, consoling herself in her mind.

But, despite knowing they were expendable, this was just too fast.

Seeing an Evilus Faction member fall to Noah’s sword, Valetta couldn’t help but bare her teeth in frustration.

From the moment the golden-haired Elf had fled to now, barely 20 seconds had passed, yet over 30 Evilus Faction members had been taken down.

    No way!

    Can’t keep waiting!

At this point, I’m definitely no match for this monster!

If he were to come at me head-on, I’d probably be sliced to pieces along with my weapon!

Noah, who was in the midst of cutting down his enemies, suddenly sensed something off and glanced over at Valetta.

Then, he saw it – on the ground, which was made of withered wood and moss, numerous eerie, glowing geometric patterns had appeared.

The color was a deep purple, the shape was archetypal, with Valetta as the starting point, forming a massive Magic Circle!

What was happening, Noah couldn’t quite grasp.

But one thing was certain: never let the enemy achieve their goal!

So, Noah spun around, fending off the other Evilus Faction members who were launching their Offensive Arts, and swung his sword towards Valetta!

    “You little brat!”

Valetta stared, raised her sword to block, and tried to avoid Noah’s slash.

What she faced was a failure as it should be.

Noah’s slash easily shattered the cursed sword and cut a blood flower on Valetta’s body.

The aftermath spread out, shattering the rocks, and splashing gravel that penetrated several thick tree trunks.

    However, Noah frowned.

This sword was actually cut crooked?
