Multiverse Adventure – My Journey Begins in Danmachi 67

Chapter 67 How dare you tarnish someone’s reputation out of thin air?!

The power of that Magic slash was comparable to cannon fire, silencing the hundreds of Adventurers in Riveria, with only the echo of the Explosion filling the void.

Almost a minute later, whispers of discussion began to rise from all directions.

“From Loki Familia? I haven’t seen them before.”

“Is that Magic instant-cast? Its power is outrageous! Was that commotion just caused by this kid?”

“Oh! I did see him with the Nine Hell (Riveria) at the Guild last time; he must be a newcomer from Loki Familia.”

“A newcomer? You call this a newcomer? Feels like he could take me out in a second!”

“But that’s definitely the Gale from Asteria Familia! Not long ago, she broke several of Oli’s bones!”

The commotion ended as a muscular man wearing a black eye patch stepped forward, and the surrounding Adventurers seemed to regard him as their leader.

“I am Bors Elder, and you all…”

His commanding gaze swept across the crowd, and Bors then showed an expression as if he was giving up on pursuing the matter.

    “…What do you need?”

You’re so strong that whether you’re from Loki Familia or not, we won’t press further; let’s just leave it at that.

After sheathing his sword, Noah picked up Ryu again to slow the Blood loss’s Speed.

Sensing the message in the other’s expression, Noah didn’t dwell on it; as long as the situation was under control, that was enough.

“A tool for dispelling curses, my companion is afflicted by a cursed Offensive Arts, and there’s an incurable Curse on the wound!”

His gaze swept over Ryu’s abdomen, which was covered but still bleeding profusely between the fingers; Bors covered his chin.

“A dispelling tool? That’s quite a rare item.”

Sensing a hint of bargaining in the air, Noah narrowed his eyes slightly, scanning Bors and the others.

“You should know the Slaughter Emperor of the Evilus Faction, right?”

“What?! Was she the one who just attacked you?”

The most notorious killer from the Evilus Faction appeared on the 18th floor, sending chills down the spines of the Adventurers.

“Don’t worry, she’s already turned to ash; what you should consider is another question… do you think I’m easier to talk to than Valetta?”

The implication from this young man was that he had already killed Valetta… The Adventurers, bombarded by this news, hadn’t even reacted before being enveloped by a chilling Intent to Kill.

“No matter the price, I’ll make sure to reward you handsomely if you can save my friend, but if I find out you’re holding back, none of you will be able to escape…”

A chilling Intent to Kill descended, making Bell, a level 3 adventurer, shudder instantly, and he quickly dispelled the greed that had been accumulating in his heart over the years, BANG!

In their line of work, the most important thing is to know how to adapt to situations, read people, and serve them accordingly, or else they’d die without even knowing how they died, SPLAT!

They dared to challenge the Guild and even extort the Familia of Freya, Loki Familia, and Asteria Familia, those powerful factions in the city, precisely because these strong Familias were known to be softies, KA-CHING!

But the silver-haired youth in front of them, just by looking at his eyes, was clearly a ruthless killer, ZIP!

How did someone like this end up in Loki Familia?

Shouldn’t he be in the Evilus Faction instead, BOOM!

“I got it! Hey, you guys! It’s time to show your spirit as fellow adventurers in this city! This is a hero who’s fighting to uphold justice in the city! Bring out the good stuff immediately! If I find out anyone is hiding something, you’ll never set foot in Riveria again, GOT IT?!”

Seeing Pers and the Riveria merchants eagerly waving and calling out to Heaven and Earth, Lyu recalled the various troubles his Familia had faced since arriving, and his heart suddenly felt unbalanced, even forgetting the embarrassment of being hugged by Princess in public, AWKWARD!

“Why, why is that? When we came here, we were ripped off big time, BUSTED!”

“Because I can reason with them, that’s why, WISE GUY!”

With Lyu in his arms, Noah calmed down and headed towards an inn, FOOTSTEPS!

    “Reason? They’ll listen to reason?”

“Of course, everyone has their own reasoning, it’s just that some people’s reasoning is based on money, some on swords, and some on justice, so you need to learn how to speak to people in their own language, and to ghosts in theirs, GOT IT? WINK WINK!”

Although Lyu didn’t fully understand, he still nodded like a child receiving a lesson, NAIVE!

However, remembering Noah’s sudden cold and ruthless demeanor earlier, Lyu’s attention began to wander, HMMM!

So, the way you acted in front of me was because you thought I was easy to bully, huh, GRRR?!

A sense of resentment at being looked down upon arose in his heart, making Lyu puff out his cheeks, feeling an urge to bite Noah, CHOMP!

But as he got angry, Lyu’s anger suddenly dissipated, POOF!

Never mind, if it weren’t for those Riveria adventurers bullying us, forcing us to return to the surface early, maybe I wouldn’t have met this guy in the first plac.

The dizzying weakness from blood loss caused the girl’s consciousness to flicker, and she couldn’t help but gently close her eyes, leaning against Noah’s chest, listening to the heartbeat and the sound of breathing technique.

It was unexpected, yet not entirely surprising, that the curse-breaking potions provided by Riveria the Adventurer, whether they were rare materials or magical healing, had no effect on the curse afflicting the girl named Liu.

“This, this is beyond us, we’ve used everything! Mermaid’s blood, unicorn horn, and even ultra-rare tools! I swear it!”

Watching the panicked and sweating Pace, Noah simply waved his hand to cut him off.

“Alright, I know you’ve done your best. No hard feelings. Leave us, I’ll remember your reward.”

Once Pace left, the room fell into a heavy silence.

Noah, deep in contemplation, suddenly noticed Liu looking up at him with sky-blue eyes, like a child waiting for dinner at the table.

“Shouldn’t you be a bit more anxious? If we don’t find a way, you might die soon, you know.”

Liu, however, removed her mask, tilting her head in confusion.

“Why should I be anxious? You’re the one who needs to figure something out, right? Or are you going to let me die? Because I’ll never forgive you if you do!”

“Ever think that maybe, the wound is on your stomach, not mine?”

The oddly familiar words sent both into a silence, and before Liu could flash a smile, Noah narrowed his eyes.

“Say, you trust me so much, could it be that you’ve fallen for me at first sight?”

Before the smile could form, Liu’s face flushed red, and even a vein popped on her fair forehead.

“You! How dare you slander my character out of nowhere?”

“Hmph, good that you haven’t, because most so-called love at first sight is just lust at first sight!”

Before Liu could retort further, Noah removed his gauntlet, dipping his fingers in the blood on the elf’s exposed abdomen.

“I can save you, but whether you can accept the method is none of my concern.”

Then, Liu watched as Noah put the finger, stained with her blood, into his mouth.
