Chapter 7 Silver-Haired Maiden

This is a stone building similar to other nearby buildings, extending back to the Second floor.

There’s not much difference compared to other pubs; it’s just significantly larger in scale.

Plus, its location near Babel Tower Plaza makes it an undeniable hotspot for adventurers looking to satisfy their cravings after a long day of battling.

Without the support of a major faction, maintaining this place would be difficult just with money.

Maybe that’s why this pub is still open while others are shutting down.

Anyway, I just want to have a meal.

But when Noah walked into the door, he saw a female waiter cleaning tables and sweeping the floor; the pub was completely empty.

Is this really happening?

“Which one, Adventurer-sama?”

As Noah hesitated, a gentle voice came from behind him, prompting him to slowly turn around.

It was a Human girl wearing a long, knee-length pink dress over a white half-skirt.

Her straight gray hair was tied into a ponytail at the back of her head, with a strand of hair hanging down and styled like a ribbon.

Her snow-white face and gray eyes gave her an innocent appearance.

“That one, Adventurer-sama, do you just come from the Dungeon? You seem to have been severely injured; did something happen?”

Noah looked at the girl for a moment, instinctively sensing something odd about her eyes. However, he didn’t have the energy to think further.

“Still open?”

“Oh! Of course! But I’m not sure if there’s much left in terms of food, Adventurer-sama. Would you like something to eat?”

Under the Silver-Haired Maiden’s guidance, Noah sat down at a table by the window.

He opened his bag filled with money and tossed a large handful onto the table without counting it.

“Anything you can help me arrange, but make it light; no roasted meats, no stews, no alcohol in the dishes, and…”

Under the Silver-Haired Maiden’s curious gaze, Noah fell silent for a moment before looking away.

“Any desserts?”

The Silver-Haired Maiden turned her head and smiled apologetically at the few female waitresses who were frantically waving their hands and pleading with her.

“Well, there are a few cream puffs, honey cakes, strawberry yogurt……”

The Silver-Haired Maiden hadn’t finished speaking when Noah interrupted her.

“How many should I bring up?”

“And he’s already eaten three cakes and two pastries; why does it feel like he likes sweet foods more than girls?”

“Oh, stop! Go work! Otherwise, Mama Mia will be angry when she comes back!”

“Syil knows how to change the subject!”

After Noah finished eating and his plate was as high as he sat, Noah unsurprisingly added a lot more money. His wallet was emptied entirely.

However, the food at this restaurant made Noah quite satisfied, so despite its slightly higher price, he decided to pack some of it.

“The customer has such a good appetite! This should help me earn more money!”

The clever combination of his shrewdness and the girl’s refined appearance won’t make anyone dislike him; instead, it will inspire a sense of reluctant fondness.

However, Noah glanced at her and looked away.

“In the city, are there facilities like a library or a warehouse?”

Hearing this question, Silver-Haired Maiden deeply looked at Noah before pointing her delicate fingers on her lips, seeming to think for a moment.

“Thank you.”

Looking at the silver-haired boy’s silhouette disappearing into the rain night, Silver-Haired Maiden involuntarily tilted her head.
