Chapter 108 Ryuudou Issei’s Quiet Daily Life
Ryuudou Issei is curious.
That man named Kuzuki Souichirou moved into Ryūdō Temple about half a month ago and became his World History teacher. At the time, he was shocked for a while.
After observing him for half a month, Ryuudou Issei began to feel interested in Kuzuki.
His life is like clockwork—methodical, emotionless, serious, and rarely speaks.
One day, he saw Kuzuki’s body hidden under his clothes.
“That’s way too strong for a teacher to have!” he thought.
Once he had that thought, he couldn’t control his curiosity about Kuzuki anymore.
On the weekend, when Kuzuki wasn’t going out, Ryuudou Issei asked him to have a duel of skills.
He agreed smoothly.
In the temple’s training ground, Ryuudou Issei experienced his first truly brutal defeat.
His Karate skills are decent, but in front of Kuzuki, he was as helpless as a newborn baby.
Kuzuki struck him three times, and every time, Ryuudou Issei failed to defend himself.
The first fight, Ryuudou Issei saw nothing and the duel ended immediately.
He vaguely remembered being knocked down but didn’t see anything before he was hit again.
In the second fight, he stayed alert and focused, trying to catch a glimpse of Kuzuki’s movements.
After seeing Kuzuki’s attack pattern, Ryuudou Issei tried to react, but his body couldn’t keep up. He watched helplessly as Kuzuki knocked him down again.
In the third fight, he didn’t even wait for the start signal before charging at Kuzuki.
Even though he saw Kuzuki’s attack trajectory and reacted accordingly, Kuzuki’s strength was overwhelming, like a mountain collapsing or a pillar falling. He struck Ryuudou Issei with unmatched force.
Despite his frustration, Ryuudou Issei couldn’t win against Kuzuki. It was obvious he had no chance.
The man is too strong.
When asked about such a strong secret, Kuzuki answers with a calm demeanor: “Consistency in training and some innate talent.”
Is that all it takes to become so strong?
Ryuudou Issei is half-believing, half-doubting.
However, this doesn’t stop him from respecting Kuzuki deeply.
If he could be like Kuzuki Sir, he might also become an excellent monk.
·········
Peaceful days are always short-lived.
Spring comes and goes quickly.
This day…
Ryuudou Issei is sitting in the Student Council meeting room, chatting happily with his friend Emiya Shirou.
He took a few slices of meat from Emiya Shirou’s bento box and placed them in his own lunchbox, eating them with satisfaction.
As a monk at Ryūdō Temple, he needs to perform rituals for purification. On ordinary days, he rarely eats meat, except when dining with Emiya Shirou occasionally. Moreover, Emiya Shirou’s bento is very tasty.
Emiya Shirou doesn’t mind Ryuudou Issei’s greediness and laughs, saying: “Issei rarely gets to eat meat, right?”
“Well, yeah. After all, he needs to become a monk in the future. He should start training from a young age.”
Hah!…
The door suddenly opens, and Kuzuki’s cold expression sweeps over the two of them.
“Ryuudo, finish your meal and come to the Faculty office. I have something important to discuss.”
As the door closes, a serious and emotionless face leaves. The two in the room involuntarily relax.
Emiya Shirou doesn’t know why he’s nervous, but it might be because of Kuzuki’s cold silence. He can’t help but feel infected by it.
“Issei, finish your meal quickly. Teacher Kuzuki seems to have something important to discuss with you.”
Ryuudou IsseiOne Side wolfed down his lunch quickly, and said to Emiya Shirou, “It shouldn’t be a big deal. I’ll be back soon.”
Huh.
Ryuudou Issei pushed the Gate of Opening (Kaimon) and left, leaving Emiya Shirou alone in the meeting room.
After Emiya Shirou finished eating and took a nap on the table in the meeting room, Ryuudou Issei pulled the Gate of Opening (Kaimon) in from the door with a tired face.
The noise of the Gate of Opening (Kaimon) woke Emiya Shirou up. He rubbed his sleepy eyes and asked, “Why did it take so long? Did something happen?”
Ryuudou Issei sat down on the chair and said, “It’s the Student Council’s job. It’s just that the unexpectedly complicated things delayed us a little. Speaking of which, Emiya, why don’t you join the Student Council?”
Emiya Shirou smiled and said, “You know, Ayako has persuaded me to join the Archery Club.”
“Humph, I haven’t forgotten about the Archery Club’s misappropriation of funds. They will have to correct this sooner or later.” Ryuudou Issei was quite angry about this.
The two talked for a while, and the lunch break passed quickly.
Emiya Shirou said goodbye to Ryuudou Issei and returned to her class. The first class in the afternoon was The History of the World.
As the bell rang, Kuzuki also stepped in from the door on time.
“The class will start now, and the student on duty will take roll call.”
Surprisingly, Kuzuki’s teaching style is similar to his personality.
With AbsoluteCalm and an objective attitude, he slowly delivered the content of the class.
This is quite suitable for teaching history, because history should be examined without any emotion or prejudice.
The sun shifted and fell.
The school bell rang, and the day’s teaching ended.
Night fell.
There was a knock on Kuzuki’s door.
Kuzuki hits the Gate of Opening (Kaimon) and sees Ryuudou Issei standing outside in a daze.
“Sir Kuzuki, excuse me.”
Kuzuki stepped back, Ryuudou said, ‘Come in.’
They exchanged a glance and sat across from each other after a brief tidy-up.
“That’s the thing, Mr. Kuzuki,” Issei Ryuudou hesitated to say.
“Let me know if this is troubling you,” Issei Ryuudou said. “If your personal wishes don’t approve of it, we can cancel the event.”
“No, that’s not it at all. It’s just that I think the method could be a bit more tactful—no need to be so forceful.”
Kuzuki frowned and said, “You’re in charge of this, so you can handle it as you see fit.”
As a Student Council advisor, Kuzuki had inadvertently discovered an issue with the unfair distribution of Student Council funds within the school’s clubs. He discussed this with Issei Ryuudou at noon and suggested canceling all club activity budgets and ceasing their disbursement.
Of course, this was just a suggestion from Kuzuki as an advisor. The final decision would be up to Issei Ryuudou, the Student Council president. If he doesn’t approve of it, he won’t push for it.
“Is there anything else?”
Issei Ryuudou bowed slightly and said, “Please teach me about training.”
“Why?”
Issei Ryuudou looked up and said, “I’m interested in Kuzuki’s training methods. Rough training is essential for becoming a monk, and my will still needs refinement. Karate training has reached a bottleneck, so I want to improve it under Kuzuki.”
Kuzuki nodded and said, “Sure, as part of your stay here, I’ll take it seriously and teach you.”
Issei Ryuudou smiled warmly and said, “Please do, Mr. Kuzuki.”
By now, the night was deep, so there was no need to rush.
Issei Ryuudou left as planned.
Kuzuki closed the door and pondered a question in his mind.
Exactly which fist techniques would be most suitable for teaching him?
