Chapter 109 Encounter
March 15, spring break.
Fifteen days of vacation, and on April 1st, school would reopen along with the new students.
During these fifteen days off, Kuzuki taught Issei a lot about Ryuudou.
Finally, he decided to teach Ryuudou Hokuto Shinken (Fist of the North Star), which he had also taught Fujino before. However, Fujino only practiced for a few days and then stopped, making Kuzuki feel somewhat regretful.
Hokuto Shinken (Fist of the North Star) encompasses everything, covering a vast range of martial arts from basic to advanced techniques.
Moreover, Hokuto Shinken (Fist of the North Star) distinguishes between hard and soft. Ryuudou Issei’s talent isn’t particularly high, though he has entered the realm of Breathing and Walking Technique. However, he lacks the qualification for HokutoGouken (Strong Fist), as his Body quality is insufficient, so he can only practice HokutoGentle Fist (Juuken).
In the early morning, Kuzuki woke up.
However, Ryuudou Issei got up even earlier than Kuzuki, practicing fist techniques behind Ryūdō Temple before dawn.
“Good morning, Teacher Kuzuki!” Ryuudou Issei greeted Kuzuki loudly while practicing punches.
Kuzuki nodded and began his own morning exercises on the other side.
The two were not far apart, but Ryuudou Issei was much more active in terms of movement.
He panted heavily, switching between punches, continuously practicing techniques, and sweating profusely.
Meanwhile, Kuzuki.
He simply stood there, closing his eyes and relaxing his Body posture without moving.
Suddenly, a terrifying Breath emanated from Kuzuki, spreading out like a tangible force in an instant, engulfing the surroundings.
Ryuudou Issei, who was practicing punches, suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, as if he had been spotted by a fierce predator. He vividly imagined being killed and involuntarily stepped back two steps.
At the same time, a large group of birds flew up from the mountains, screeching loudly as they flew away. The surrounding environment, which was usually filled with constant insect and bird sounds, suddenly fell silent in an eerie manner.
Ryuudou Issei looked at Kuzuki, who hadn’t made any movements.
Yet every time he saw Kuzuki, his heart raced uncontrollably, as if facing a great crisis. Everything seemed to recede from him, leaving behind only coldness, emptiness, and negativity.
Until Kuzuki exhaled sharply, dispelling the terrifying atmosphere, allowing the world’s warmth and energy to envelop him once more.
“Teacher Kuzuki, what is that?” Ryuudou Issei asked curiously.
Kuzuki opened his eyes, a flash of insight passing through them as he thought for a moment before saying, “It’s an Energy Momentum technique.”
“Energy Momentum?”
“You know what Bloodlust is, right? If someone has a killing heart and has killed before, they’ll be called Bloodlust Energy Momentum.”
“Weak Bloodlust might not even be noticeable, but stronger Bloodlust can affect others, making them feel uneasy, cold, or scared.”
“Bloodlust is just one type of Energy Momentum. Basically, you can think of Energy Momentum as a special atmosphere that can influence others.”
Ryuudou Issei nodded slightly in understanding before asking, “What’s the essence of Energy Momentum? Can I learn it too?”
“The essence… is probably Information Scent or some kind of special frequency sound wave. Basically, there are some confusing things in it that I just got lucky and mastered.”
Kuzuki himself only has a basic understanding of Energy Momentum. He’s mastered the technique, but he doesn’t necessarily know its origins.
“Ryuudo, what are your plans for today?”
Ryuudou Issei scratched his head and continued training, saying, “I’ll stay at the temple all day to practice the techniques Cultivation Teacher Kuzuki taught me.”
“Good, I understand.”
Over the past few days, Ryuudou Issei has been training rigorously. His once-slim figure is now more muscular. Even in his school uniform, it’s clear he’s built.
“Teacher Kuzuki, are you going out?”
Kuzuki nodded and said, “I’ve been here for a while. I need to get familiar with the surroundings.”
Ryuudou Issei thought Kuzuki was just planning to go out for fun and suggested, “There’s some new stuff in Xindu that might interest Teacher Kuzuki.”
Summoning One Sound, Kuzuki left the temple and walked down the mountain road toward the residential area.
Ryūdō Temple is seven kilometers southwest of Homunhara Academy, a two-hour walk normally.
Ten kilometers to the northwest is Emiya Residence.
The road isn’t busy. Whenever Kuzuki passes through a quiet stretch, he speeds up slightly.
He reached Emiya Residence in just over an hour.
Emiya Shirou’s residence.
Emiya Residence is quite large. Its walls are over 200 meters long, and the wall itself isn’t very tall. Kuzuki could easily climb it, but there’s no reason to do so since only Emiya Shirou usually lives here.
However, without a reason, Kuzuki wouldn’t try climbing the wall.
The residence still has barriers set up by the previous master for security. If Kuzuki doesn’t enter through the front door, he’ll be noticed.
After getting familiar with the surroundings of Emiya Residence, Kuzuki turned and left.
He turned in the opposite direction, heading south toward Emiya Residence.
The destination is one of Fuyuki City’s four ley lines, specifically the Tohsaka Household, which manages Fuyuki City’s land.
Speaking of it, Ryūdō Temple has a lot of records about Magecraft. It’s not about magic techniques, just some common knowledge and anecdotes.
As a teacher, it’s essential to broaden one’s knowledge. He often teaches World History, so he frequently visits the library hall at Ryūdō Temple to review books.
A lot of information about Fuyuki City can be found in the records.
Just a short walk away, Kuzuki encountered a purple-haired girl.
She was wearing black middle school uniform with her purple hair tied back with a red ribbon. Despite her young age, she had a slight air of maturity about her.
Her expression was unusually calm and detached, with her purple pupils fixed straight ahead. Her demeanor carried an air of mild melancholy.
Kuzuki thought he might have seen Asagami Fujino at first glance because they looked so similar.
While she resembled him, this girl was not Asagami Fujino.
She is……Matou Sakura.
Kuzuki passed her by without acknowledgment, only glancing at her heart as he did so.
He knows Matou Sakura’s situation and will not let Matou Zouken slip away in the upcoming Holy Grail War. This does not mean he intends to interfere or show sympathy toward Matou Sakura.
The Matou family residence is far from Emiya Residence, approximately a 1.5-hour walk.
It’s now 7:30 AM, meaning Matou Sakura left home at 6:00 AM to prepare breakfast for the family.
She’s very hardworking, but···this level of dedication, can it be reciprocated?
Earlier, he used Mystic Eyes to examine Matou Sakura’s heart and found nothing unusual.
Is this due to Matou Zouken’s hidden techniques, or is he still inactive?
Thinking about it, Kuzuki observed the scenery of Shinyama Town as he made his way to Tohsaka Residence.
ps: Kuzuki is 28 years old with a lifespan of 150 years and will not age beyond 140.
Want to see Kuzuki’s Heroic Spirit data? It will be released tomorrow.
