Chapter 123 Ten Seconds of Battle!

Kuzuki leaps and dashes through the high-rise buildings, rapidly advancing while following Perception’s strange locations.

He falls to the ground from the top of a high-rise building, and his vision opens up into a flat, open space.

He is now at the base of a hill, with a road leading to the top of the hill. Cherry Blossom trees are planted in two rows on either side of the road, opening wide. The wind blows and sends many petals falling.

    Open space, quiet.

The hill stands still, with no sign of anyone.

Kuzuki turns back to look at the direction he came from. A crazy, bloodthirsty BreathRising to the Sky is released without any restraint.

……There’s a very powerful Monster ahead, moving toward this side.

This strange World feels extremely odd to Kuzuki. In his Super Sensory Perception, he can’t describe it as dangerous or safe—it just has a stormy calmness at the center of the chaos.

He dashes along the road and quickly runs up to the top of the hill.

Before him stands a School. The big gate is halfway open, with a few individual shadows wandering around the campus. Their movements are stiff and strange, and there’s no background noise.

    Fujimi High School (Private).

A sign at the school gate is marked with the Academy’s name, half of it dyed red with blood.

    Is this really a coincidence?

Kuzuki furrows his brow and walks into the School.

There’s a pool of blood and some strange meat fragments on the ground at the school gate.

It seems like there was a crisis here. I wonder if there are any survivors left.

Kuzuki leaps up, using the wall to spring onto the rooftop of the Teaching Building. His ears twitch slightly as he gathers all sounds within the Academy into his mind, while also scanning Perception with his Martial Artist Spiritual Awareness.

A few moments later, a doubtful expression appears in Kuzuki’s mind.

    This Academy is definitely problematic.

The situation here at the Academy is completely different from what happened with Kuzuki in the city. The Zombie Movement here is slow, without visuals, and no secondary mutations have appeared.

While he encountered zombies one by one like sprinters, their movements were swift, relying on visual hunting, and could evolve through eating food.

This Academy had nearly a thousand zombies, yet not even a single Licker was present. Kuzuki was in the city when he encountered over a hundred Lickers just outside the building. Could this be The World’s consciousness targeting him out of malice?

As Kuzuki pondered the question, he suddenly discovered that the Teaching Building he was in had been surrounded by numerous zombies, making it completely blocked off and densely packed around the building.

Kuzuki tapped his foot lightly on the rooftop’s concrete slab, causing a few stones to burst into pieces.

He grabbed a stone in his hand and snapped his fingers, launching it outwards.

    “Bang! Bang! Bang!”

The stone hit the ground, walls, and trees, producing various sounds. It immediately attracted a large group of zombies toward him.

However, after about a minute, those zombies he had attracted returned to him again, still surrounding Kuzuki.

“[This isn’t just coincidence; there’s some unknown mechanism controlling these zombie attacks. It happened when I first arrived here and even after leaving the building.]”

“[Wait a minute? When I first came here, nothing happened. I encountered an attack only after leaving the building. Maybe it was a memory error?]”

There are still survivors in this Academy, hiding in the corners.

Due to Kuzuki attracting many zombies inside the Academy, the surroundings have become somewhat empty.

A row of people suddenly burst out from one of the last Teaching Buildings, crossing the open space and heading toward the parking lot.

Their movements attracted other surviving students to follow behind them.

The front group targeted a large bus, which was a good choice. It carried more people than a small car and was more sturdy, even if it crashed into the zombie horde.

One of the survivors hesitated and shouted, “Wait for us! There are still people here!”

He didn’t shout before, but once he did, it was like poking a nest of hornets. The zombies surrounding Kuzuki’s building began to stir and move toward the sound.

However, the zombies’ movements were slow and delayed. Before they could reach him, all the survivors had already boarded the bus.

The driver of the bus seemed inexperienced. After the last survivor climbed on board, the engine roared to life, and the car swayed as it took off.

“Bang! Bang! Bang!” It crashed through several zombies that had been blocking its path, flipping them over as it drifted sideways, crashing through the school gate, and onto the road outside.

Kuzuki had been watching the scene quietly, not preparing to help.

But after the bus left, his spiritual perception felt something unusual.

It was as if the bus was a candle in the darkness, illuminating a certain area. As the candle moved away, the darkness surrounded and surged like a tide.

This was the situation. What surprised him was that it was a person, not an object.

After reacting in the blink of an eye, Kuzuki squatted slightly, jumped up like a strong crossbow arrow, flew hundreds of meters away and landed on the cherry tree at the school gate. He tapped his toes again, and the man took off like a big bird, and caught up with the bus in a few leaps.

A high school student in the car was holding a baseball bat and looking at the figure chasing him in the rear window in shock.

“Hey, what’s that? Are we filming a movie? Is he coming over?”

However, the people around him did not react at all and just stared at the front.

The high school student pushed the girl next to him and said anxiously: “Behind us, there’s someone catching up with us in an unimaginable way!”

The girl with long pink hair slowly raised her arm and pointed forward, speechless.

The high school student turned around and was shocked, his face instantly turning pale.

Because it was a downward slope, it was very clear to see far ahead.

In front of the bus, there was a huge giant four or five stories high, running towards them with earth-shaking steps!

The blonde busty female driver slammed on the brakes. With a sharp friction sound, the tires rubbed against the ground, leaving several long marks. The car was tilted all over and finally stopped.

However, before the female driver could reverse the car, the 15-meter giant had already come crashing down, like a hill with irresistible force. It did not stop at all, and one of its legs scraped the back half of the bus.

The scraped body of the bus was bent and dented like paper, and the whole body drifted and overturned, hitting a big tree beside the road.

However, this was just an episode on the giant’s way forward. It did not pay any attention to it, just like a person stepping on an ant.

    Its target was Kuzuki!

The giant ran clumsily in front of Kuzuki, and his muscles, as strong as rebar, stretched and tightened like a noose. Then he stomped on the ground, causing a violent vibration, making the ground roll like waves.

    Boom!

The ground collapsed, raising mud and dust. Its huge body rushed to Kuzuki’s side at an incredibly fast speed in the blink of an eye. The strong wind caused by its movement bent the tree under Kuzuki’s feet.

Then it punches, like mountains collapsing and pillars breaking apart in a powerful manner. It completely covers Kuzuki’s body with Fist Wind’s shockwave, which hits Kuzuki like a heavy hammer, leaving an enormous imprint of a fist on his body within the Protective Aura.

Kuzuki feels a fatal sense of crisis as he releases Eight Gates (Hachimon Tonkaku), exploding in a sudden burst.

If he were on flat ground, he could easily dodge this punch. But now, standing on the branch of a tree, he can’t move to avoid it.

If he doesn’t dodge this punch, he will die.

Despite having an Immortal Body and being able to Primordial Spirit reincarnate, Kuzuki wouldn’t waste such a precious opportunity carelessly.

Just as the critical moment arrives, Kuzuki’s Body Surface Vein erupts in a violent explosion of energy.

    Gate of Pain (Shōmon), open!

A pale green shockwave emanates from Kuzuki, pushing everything—air and the tree branches below—away. However, the force of this outward-spreading impact is so strong that even Muscle Giant’s fist can’t stop it for a moment.

    Roar!

Unmatched strength directly pierces through the violently expanding Protective Aura and leaves an indelible imprint on Kuzuki’s body. Just the Fist alone is as large as Kuzuki’s body, with even more terrifying power contained within.

The entire World suddenly appears calm in Kuzuki’s eyes. Slowly falling cherry blossoms, faint dust clouds rising from the ground, and a fist-like drop of blood moving forward—these are what he sees.

When the Fist hits him, Endless strength explodes, causing the entire World to retreat. Everything moves away from Kuzuki as he passes through trees, crosses school gates, spans hundreds of meters, and crashes into the Teaching Building. The building shakes and collapses into a large hole.

    Roar!

Giant roars to the sky, swings its axe with fury, and charges forward like a speeding train on the ground.

Rubble from the collapsed building explodes open, revealing Kuzuki jumping out with glowing red eyes.

His ribs are broken while being repaired, and his physical body is slowly regenerating. Before his injuries are fully healed, he mutters a sound of pain, enduring the agony on his physical body as he opens another door.

    Gate of Healing (Kyūmon), open!

A pale green energy erupts from Kuzuki like waves from the sea. Everything around him is pushed away, leaving only a raging Energy Flow. Even the raging Air Flow creates a storm, blowing Debris outward.

Charging toward Muscle Giant at full speed, Kuzuki releases his power, causing the World to fall silent once again.

A thunderous explosion echoes through the air. Suddenly, a massive cloud of white mist explodes from the ground, forming a funnel-shaped Mist that slowly expands. Kuzuki’s figure has already disappeared into thin air.

    Supersonic!

    Break through the Sound Barrier!

Like jumping into water, a big splash forms while the force suddenly increases. However, opening Gate of Limit (Keimon) brings along Furious Energy that allows Kuzuki to freely perform BlessingPhysical Body, like a rocket launcher propelling him, letting his speed break through obstacles and fly!

He turns into a faint gray AfterimageFlashing By, making the surrounding objects blurry. He stretches out Growth bar shape.

In front of Kuzuki, Giant continues to move forward with its GiantMovement, slowly alternating its legs while Kuzuki arrives with Mountain-breaking Energy Momentum!

    Speed is ‘Strength’!

Stone breaks through the sky and punches out a fist so powerful it compresses the high-density air around Kuzuki’s Fist, making his Fist like a cotton ball that explodes in an instant and hits Giant!

An Invisible Wave spreads rapidly from the impact site. Any place hit by the invisible wave floats up debris bricks like falling into water, while massive force drags everything away, leaving behind a huge circular pit.

The shockwave completely engulfs Giant, and the recoil sends Kuzuki flying out.

The impact doesn’t feel as fragile as usual, giving Kuzuki the impression of hitting a Super Alloy Wall. Giant isn’t dead yet; it continues to attack!

    Gate of View (Keimon), open!

An Invisible Wave spreads rapidly and contracts like blood flowing back through the heart, stopping the outward surge of Energy flow in an instant as it condenses into a thin green layer on Kuzuki’s Body Surface.

Eight Gates (Hachimon Tonkaku)The sixth gate allows Kuzuki to enter a half-open buffering state while maintaining the green Energy emission from Gate of Opening (Kaimon), keeping his Body unchanged to reduce consumption and damage, ready to unleash full power when needed.

Kuzuki flies backward and flips over as he falls to the ground. He lands gently and stamps down, causing a hundred square meters behind him to collapse loudly with countless cracks exploding and throwing up large chunks of land.

Just the recoil is so strong; what kind of strength does Kuzuki have now?

    Less than a second!

The faint green light in the air fades as Kuzuki catches up to the Muscle Giant knocked flying by the shockwave.

This monster is still alive. Its chest wound, twice the height of two people, gushes blood and flesh that’s compressed by the wind into its open wound.

Even in this super high-speed battle, it hasn’t had time to react to being attacked yet.

Konoha Strong Fist (Strong Fist)Secret Technique·Morning Peacock!

Kuzuki’s Fist starts burning with a thin green flame before doubling in speed to surpass sound speeds by tens of times. In the 1-2 seconds it takes for Giant to hit the ground, he punches out over 100,000 fists!

That’s not Afterimage, but rather a Flame vortex displayed like Peacock Display, centered on Kuzuki. It’s even denser than Meteor rain, with massive Flame masses being launched in all directions and slamming onto GiantBody!

The shockwave and high-temperature heat wave caused by Fist turned fifteen-meter-tall Giant into less than three-meter-tall Black Charcoal!

The spread-out Flame masses, like the Meteor rocks fired from Fire Pass’s eruption, slammed into the ground, exploded, burned, and turned a thousand-meter radius into hellish heat!

    Boom!

A small car-sized Black Charcoal lump broke through the air, flew over a hundred meters, and finally crashed through a house before landing inside.

Kuzuki shook as he landed on the ground, his entire body red with blood vessels exploding due to the high temperature, turning him into a Red Crab-like figure.

And that was less than ten seconds ago!

    On the other side···

Inside the bus thrown by Giant, a high school student holding a baseball bat stumbled out of the flipped-over vehicle. He hadn’t even had time to shout to his companions before he heard an earth-shaking sound that knocked him off balance and onto the ground.

More earth-shaking sounds followed, along with waves of shockwaves and fierce winds that tossed him up and sent him flying for dozens of meters. Wounded all over, he screamed out loud, but his voice went unnoticed as a flowing light passed by him. Then came another earth-shaking explosion sound, the sky turned red, and countless Fire Meteors like falling asteroids crashed into the ground, creating one massive crater after another. One Fire Meteor exploded nearby, sending a shockwave that knocked him back several dozen meters.

Even so, the high school student wasn’t dead yet. He was badly injured, lying face-up in the pit with a blank stare, staring blankly at the sky.

Finally, the surroundings stopped shaking, and only the flames on the trees were crackling and burning.

    The wind stopped.
