Chapter 139 The Strong Luck of the Tiger of Fuyuki!

In the room, Kuzuki pours a pot of tea and invites Fujimura Taiga and Emiya Shirou.

Emiya Shirou, like sitting on needles, couldn’t help but ask, “Teacher Kuzuki, where’s Issei?”

    “He’s training at Back Mountain.”

“I’ll go find him. Fujimura Taiga is here drinking tea.”Emiya Shirou said, standing up and leaving.

As soon as he left, the room fell into a strange quiet atmosphere. Fujimura Taiga coughed slightly and said, “It was fun during summer vacation, but after entering society, I feel bored.”

    “Hmm.”

“So, let’s ask Teacher Kuzuki about kendo next. I’m looking forward to it.”Before the summer break, Fujimura Taiga proposed a kendo match with Kuzuki, and Kuzuki agreed. Today was the day of their match.

Fujimura Taiga quickly stood up from her futon and ran to the door, opening the bag Emiya Shirou was carrying.

“I brought a bamboo sword for training. Let Teacher Kuzuki feel it.”

She handed over a bamboo sword, which Kuzuki took and held casually.

They moved to the open space stone platform in front of the temple. Fujimura Taiga stood with both hands holding her Tiger Bamboo Sword, looking serious.

    “One… one…”

She swung the sword a few times, creating a gust of wind. Fujimura Taiga nodded satisfiedly, wiped nonexistent sweat from her brow, and took a deep breath, saying, “Oh my… It’s been so long since I’ve done anything useful, I was worried I’d become stiff. Surprisingly, my technique is still in good shape!”

Kuzuki quietly controlled his strength to avoid accidentally injuring Fujimura Taiga.

“Heh heh, you’re getting excited, Teacher Kuzuki. Be careful.”Fujimura Taiga grinned and showed off her bright teeth.

Regular kendo matches require armor, but since Kuzuki and Fujimura Taiga were only practicing casually and had confidence they wouldn’t hurt each other, they didn’t wear any armor.

    “Face!”

Fujimura Taiga roared once, took a step forward, and swung her Tiger Bamboo Sword from above to below at Kuzuki’s head.

Kuzuki stepped back slightly, casually lifting the bamboo sword to block Fujimura Taiga’s Tiger Bamboo Sword.

Even though he didn’t know how to use a sword, Kuzuki could make the bamboo sword look like a real sword with his control over his body and strength.

The bamboo swords clashed, causing Kuzuki’s Blade to tremble as he tried to twist Fujimura Taiga’s bamboo sword out of her grasp.

He didn’t use the sword for long and didn’t take it seriously. Plus, Fujimura Taiga had decent kendo skills, so she managed to knock open her Tiger Bamboo Sword without being disarmed immediately.

Fujimura Taiga stepped back a big step and called out: “Wait a minute! Teacher Kuzuki, are you not a novice?”

Kuzuki nodded slightly and said: “This is my second time using a bamboo sword.”

“What?” Fujimura Taiga looked at him in disbelief and exclaimed: “Such an amateur can be so impressive? Teacher Kuzuki, are you some kind of prodigy…”

Fujimura Taiga’s eyes lit up as he said: “Do you have any interest in kendo? Teacher Kuzuki, want me to teach you? Just say I’m your kendo teacher and it’ll be fine.”

    “No interest.” Kuzuki flatly refused.

    “How is this possible…”

Fujimura Taiga slumped in defeat, but hadn’t even two seconds passed before he was back on his feet with a full blood revival and a motivated spirit: “While you’re still undecided, I’ll go ahead and ‘teach you’ the awesomeness of kendo~”

Saying that, he unleashed an energy momentum attack on Kuzuki.

As they fought, Kuzuki grew more confused.

Based on their tech, speed, and strength, Fujimura Taiga should have lost long ago. Why had he been fighting for so long without winning?

    “Wah!”

A single sound broke through the air.

The bamboo sword blade flashed and turned into flowing light, charging forward.

Just as it was about to hit Fujimura Taiga’s body, a sudden wind arose, lifting fallen leaves from Kuzuki’s line of sight, blocking his view.

The bamboo sword in his hand naturally went askew and missed its target.

    “Bam.”

Fujimura Taiga took advantage of the moment to strike Kuzuki’s back with a slap.

    Kuzuki lost; Fujimura Taiga won.

“Well… he’s pretty impressive for an amateur, but against someone like me, it doesn’t work.” Fujimura Taiga wiped sweat off his brow with a casual tone.

Kuzuki didn’t hear her words. He was staring at the bamboo sword in his hand.

Even though he wasn’t paying attention, his Super Sensory Perception was relaxed. Yet, despite being a random strike, it still combined speed, force, and accuracy for a stable hit—unfortunately, he missed.

The sudden wind that blocked his line of sight with leaves had just barely hit the weak spot where his old strength ended and new strength began. That’s why he went off course.

This probability is too low, it’s just like Miracle.

If Luck can be Valueized, then Fujimura Taiga’s Luck definitely belongs to EX Level, turning impossible things into lucky events, even interfering with causality.

Fujimura Taiga has no awareness of it, joyfully jumping straight up while holding his heart’s Tiger Bamboo Sword.

That guy is really scary. Arguing with someone like him is pointless.

After the activity, Fujimura Taiga suggests going to find Emiya Shirou.

“That kid has a shift this afternoon, I dragged him out reluctantly; can’t keep him waiting too long,” Fujimura Taiga says.

    Back Mountain.

Emiya Shirou follows the path kicked out by someone and goes through a forest, then up a slope to Back Mountain’s training ground.

A flat Open Space with a circular Giant Stone resting on top in the center.

Ryuudou Issei is running around the circular Giant Stone. On one side, he mutters: “Forty-One Laps… Forty-Two Laps…”

Emiya Shirou stands on one side and scans Ryuudou Issei’s upper body with his gaze: “Issei this guy, you’re really good at hiding your figure. I can’t see how good he is.”

“Hey, Emiya, why are you here?” Ryuudou Issei notices Emiya Shirou and greets him.

“Not the same as Fujimura’s guy. He insisted on challenging Teacher Kuzuki to a Kendo match, so I had no choice but to come.”

“Is Fujimura Teacher here too… Looks like I’ll have to speed up; letting the customers wait is Master’s negligence.”

Saying that, Ryuudou Issei speeds up, his muscles rippling and moving with each stride as he accelerates.

By the end, he dashes forward like a gust of wind, even lifting fallen leaves from the ground behind him and scattering them wildly.

    That’s fast.

Emiya Shirou is amazed at Ryuudou Issei’s physical strength as he watches him run.

In reality, if you measure his speed with equipment, you’ll find that Ryuudou Issei’s current speed is 10 meters per second! This is a long-distance running style akin to sprinting, hence the impression of extreme speed.

Five minutes later, Ryuudou Issei stops and heavily sweats, gasping for air like an ox.

“Is this guy training every day?”

Ryuudou Issei picks up the shirt on one side and wipes his sweat with it: “No, that’s just the basics.”

“Hmph, that’s not even the basics. Are you aiming for the Olympics?”

‘What are you talking about, I’m the strongest guy in Inheritance’s Assassin’s Fist. This level of exercise is nothing.’

Ryuudou Issei sighed, feeling Fate was somehow strange.

He didn’t say what he was thinking, walking side by side with Emiya Shirou and saying, “Well, there’s not much to do anyway. Let’s work out a bit more. A stronger body will make fighting cooler, and Emiya sometimes gets targeted by Delinquents. She should understand what I’m saying.”

Emiya smiled and said, “I can’t help it, Issei is quite good-looking with his achievements and being the Student Council president, so he’s probably very popular. There’s no need for him to act like me.”

“Hey, I’m not listening to that,” Ryuudou Issei said sharply. “That’s a friend thing only. Just be careful with your words.”

“Haha……” Emiya Shirou chuckled twice before saying, “Let’s go. Teacher Kuzuki and the others are probably waiting for us.”

    “Yeah.”
