Chapter 146 War with Kojiro (Sasaki Kojirō)
Early in the morning, Medea (Caster) gave Kuzuki a hand-made amulet, saying it was a Luckamulet that could protect him.
The amulet was woven with silk, looking ordinary at first glance. Yet, Kuzuki somehow felt there was some hidden energy within it, though he couldn’t quite tell what it was.
After receiving the amulet, Kuzuki hung it around his neck and went to school.
Nothing particularly exciting happened on his way to school or during his usual lesson. In short, Kuzuki didn’t feel like his luck had suddenly gotten much better; everything was just as usual.
After school, Kuzuki went shopping at a department store.
His residence now had an extra tenant, so he needed to prepare some necessary items.
Just as he stepped into the department store, a salesclerk dressed in a work uniform suddenly grabbed him. The clerk was wearing Western-style shoes and looked like a manager.
“Congratulations on your visit! You’re the 1,000th person to enter our store since we launched the ‘Luck Big Discount’ campaign. This is a 100,000-yen coupon that can be used to purchase items of equal value in this store. Congratulations!”
After buying a lot of things, Kuzuki even managed to make a profit.
Luckamulet? Or just good luck?
It must be the Luckamulet’s ability. But how could such a small amulet have so much power? Even something as void-like as luck, it seemed too impressive.
Kuzuki didn’t know that Medea (Caster)’s Magecraft was far stronger than he had imagined.
Medea (Caster) is a Magus, though she lacks Mastery of the Five True Magic, making her still a Magus.
“Magecraft” and “true magic” are synonyms. All Magi use true magic. Medea (Caster), who lives in Medea (Caster), wields Magecraft that is nearly as strong as true magic. Her skills even surpass the strongest level of modern Magus, exceeding those with true magic.
While Medea (Caster) isn’t a true magic user, it’s absolutely undeniable to call her “a Magus with unlimited proximity to true magic.”
The Luckamulet is an Magecraft Equipment created by Medea (Caster) at the cost of a significant amount of energy. It’s an A-level Item Construction Magecraft Equipment, with performance almost on par with Noble Phantasm in terms of power and concept. Possessing control over such a powerful ability isn’t impossible.
Carrying large bags, Kuzuki returned to Ryūdō Temple.
Standing before the massive wooden gate of Ryūdō Temple was a samurai wearing light purple kimono. He had an air of refinement and looked remarkably handsome. He carried a long katana on his back and lazily leaned against the gate, chewing on a tree branch.
Sasaki Kojirō (Assassin), a forbidden Summon created by Medea (Caster), unexpectedly appeared much sooner than expected.

Seeing Kuzuki after that, Sasaki Kojirou (Assassin) raised an eyebrow, his gaze sharpened.
Both being Martial Arts experts on the Martial Arts side, he could sense Kuzuki’s terrifying and dangerous nature, a level A Clairvoyance (Fake) like never before warning Kojiro (Sasaki Kojirō), that the man before him had a strength far more terrifying than any enemy, that dangerous aura like bamboo skin beneath his back, making him instinctively grip the hilt of his sword behind him.
“Want to fight?” Kuzuki asked.
He was still holding a bunch of things he had bought for Medea (Caster) and didn’t want to fight anyone.
“Of course not, you’re the one the mother fox cares about. If you were to fight her, she’d kill me.” Sasaki Kojirou (Assassin) retracted his hand from the sword hilt, though he felt a very heavy weight and danger on Kuzuki, but he didn’t perceive Sword Intent, meaning Kuzuki wasn’t a swordsman.
Sasaki Kojirou (Assassin) likes fighting strong enemies, but ‘strong enemies’ are limited to Kendo. For someone like Kuzuki, who is a Martial Arts expert, he has an interest, but it’s not very strong.
Kuzuki nodded slightly and passed by him.
In the room, Medea (Caster) was happily unpacking and looking at what Kuzuki had bought for her. Seeing how happy she is, Kuzuki didn’t disturb her and asked where Kojiro (Sasaki Kojirō) came from.
Kuzuki stood there empty-handed in front of the mountain gate and said to Sasaki Kojirou (Assassin): “Want to fight?”
Last time, Kuzuki didn’t want to fight, so he asked him. This time, Kuzuki is standing there empty-handed and wants to fight, so he asks again.
Sasaki Kojirou (Assassin) spit out a branch, pulled the long weapon behind him in front of him, and his attitude changed from casual to serious.
“You should be a good opponent. Hmm… Even if I get scolded by the mother fox, I still want to fight you.”
“I’ll explain it to Medea (Caster), so don’t worry.”
Kojiro (Sasaki Kojirō) smiled and pulled out the long blade from its scabbard.
“Don’t you need a weapon? I won’t give up on attacking just because my enemy has no iron.”
“My fists are my weapons.”
After saying that, the environment suddenly became unusually quiet.
Under the fading light of dusk, Kuzuki and Kojiro (Sasaki Kojirō) stood facing each other on the platform in front of the mountain gate.
The reason he wanted to fight Sasaki Kojirou (Assassin) was because Kuzuki wanted to verify one thing: How strong is a Servant? And what kind of damage can he inflict on a Servant?
Kuzuki’s muscles slowly tensed, Fighting Spirit operated throughout his body with Breathing and Walking Technique.
Whoa!
In the silence, Sasaki Kojirou (Assassin) suddenly moved without warning. The long Nodachi blade flashed once, and its edge was already before Kuzuki, ready to pierce his head.
However, Kuzuki remained steady, his waist unmoving, legs unflinching. He slid back smoothly as the blade of Kojiro (Sasaki Kojirō) approached him, paused mid-air in an instant, and then raised his hand, curling a finger toward the Blade’s side.
With the power of his enhanced Fighting Spirit, he pulled and stretched the fragile Nodachi blade. The consequences were obvious.
However, under the influence of Clairvoyance (Fake), Kojiro (Sasaki Kojirō) preemptively fired a twisted sword handle in a manner reminiscent of precognitive conditions. The blade met Kuzuki’s finger midway.
Clang!
The collision of finger and blade produced a clear metallic resonance.
After one move, Kuzuki stepped back a pace, raising his left hand. His index finger was sliced open, blood not yet flowing out when the wound began to come together like a living creature.
Well done, now let’s get serious.
Kuzuki sighed deeply, then suddenly stamped forward. The ground stone slab shattered instantly into fragments and cracks spread out. Using the force of his footstep on the ground, Kuzuki’s spine arched like a dragon, bones cracking one after another. Strength surged from his feet up through his waist, shoulders, and arms, leading to a powerful punch.
Only the Phantom flashed briefly before the air was shattered by a punch, sending airflow spiraling wildly.
Under the influence of Fighting Spirit’s Blessing, his overwhelming punch shattered the air, transmitted through empty space. The energy momentum in Sasaki Kojirou (Assassin)’s eyes was endlessly amplified, becoming like a mountain that filled Heaven and Earth, covering his entire line of sight.
The illusion of Air Flow Diffraction did not shake Sasaki Kojirou (Assassin)’s resolve. His inner Fighting Spirit reached an unprecedented level.
This terrifying opponent and overwhelming attack are exactly the kind of enemy I want to face!
In an instant, everything seemed to slow down. Mana poured into him as the blade glowed faintly. In this fleeting moment of time, Sasaki Kojirou (Assassin) swung his sword straight through.
Completely cut through!
The wild Air Flow split like the ocean, with the blade of light cutting upstream. It broke through all obstacles and struck Kuzuki’s fist.
Just like cutting tofu effortlessly into his fist, Kojiro (Sasaki Kojirō) remained composed.
Phantom!
The Noble Phantasm Strike released by Kuzuki was apparently just a feint, and Kuzuki’s Fist didn’t hit anything!
With no use for vision or perception of Kuzuki, Sasaki Kojirō opened his “eyes” to try and find Kuzuki’s location.
Yet, as if a breeze passed by, Sasaki Kojirō felt a shiver down his neck and suddenly got hit without even noticing it in his “eyes”!
Ha!
The Fierce Wind that can overturn cars roared past Sasaki Kojirō, crashing into the side of the mountain road’s tree line. It bent and broke countless branches before dissipating.
Kuzuki still stood in his original position, only with a small cracked shallow pit under his feet now.
Sasaki Kojirou (Assassin) had messy long hair and was staring at Kuzuki with a serious expression. One hand reached out from the back of his neck.
“This attack, even undetectable by ‘eyes’, what technique is this?”
“Hokuto Shinken (Fist of the North Star) Secret Technique·Musō Inzatsu (No-Thought Assassination), which doesn’t include any Bloodlust. It’s gentle but unavoidable.”
“I was too arrogant, even if I used my full strength, I might not win you. This technique is the final secret technique of my cultivation journey……Tsubame Gaeshi (Swallow Reversal), please be careful, Your Eminence.”
