Chapter 157 Saber
Ten years ago, I personally destroyed the Holy Grail.
Ten years later, I was summoned again.
And it’s that individual’s descendant……
Emiya Shirou saw him for the first time, like seeing that individual’s shadow. However… it feels slightly different.
Saber is wearing a yellow raincoat and standing quietly under the night sky.
At this moment, a tall figure walked over from far away.
At this time point and location… he might be an enemy, but I didn’t sense Servant’s breath from him.
This made Saber uncertain. Is he a Magus? Or just a random passerby?
In the heavy silence, he walked into the light and revealed his true appearance.
Just an ordinary-looking tall man with a cold expression… there was no sense of danger……
!
In that instant, Saber felt a terrifying premonition on par with a high-level instinct. It almost predicted the future, showing her an image of her heart being punched through and her death in an instant!
Before her thoughts even had time to process, her body involuntarily recoiled like a startled blushing cherry blossom.
Waaah!
She instantly backed away 20 meters, tearing off the yellow raincoat with great force. Her blue and white outfit, along with her armor-covered legs and hands, became visible.
Saber, like a swordsman facing a formidable enemy, stared at him intently. A cold drop of sweat slid down her cheek.
If she had reacted just a little slower, that death image would have become reality.
[She was already planning to attack without communication. Was he targeting her from the start… not a Servant, but extremely dangerous. A Magus? No…]
Saber tightened her sword hilt, and a layer of goose bumps appeared on her skin. She felt like she was being watched, and that sense of being watched came directly from the individual in front of her!
“You Guy, what kind of person are you!”
The cold man didn’t answer, instead turning to look at the other side of Fuyuki Church. Muttering, “Two in the underground room, one on the north side of the church—both here.”
At that moment, Emiya Shirou and Tohsaka Rin noticed the commotion and opened the church door to rush out.
“Don’t get close! Master, they’re extremely dangerous!” Saber turned away from Emiya and held out a hand to block them from approaching.
However, when Emiya Shirou and Tohsaka Rin saw the man standing outside, they simultaneously exclaimed, “Teacher Kuzuki?”
Kuzuki coldly glanced at them without answering.
The time was ripe to summon the Servants.
“Then, let’s get started.”
No sooner had he spoken than everyone felt a Bloodlust comparable to a volcano erupting from Kuzuki, freezing and bone-chilling as it rose into the sky. The air was filled with sharp ice crystals irritating the skin.
The ground beneath them began to slowly collapse, splitting open like a giant crack. Unseen Air waves emanated from Kuzuki, spreading out like ripples in a tidal wave.
Everyone felt a deep sense of impending doom, as if staring into the depths of darkness. It devoured all warmth and emotion, leaving only cold silence behind.
Hundreds of churchgoers, countless Old Ones from Otherworld, martial arts experts from The Martial Arts World, and monsters from ApocalypseEndless gathered together. Their accumulated Intent to Kill and Malice was released without hesitation.
Before this intense Bloodlust, Emiya Shirou involuntarily imagined himself being decapitated, dismembered, shot through with bullets, exploded, or turned into Meat Paste. Cold sweat dripped down his face, but his body felt like an rusted machine, stiff and unable to move.
He couldn’t resist; he couldn’t escape. In the next second, he would be killed…
Tohsaka Rin wasn’t faring much better beside him. The once cold and serious Teacher had disappeared, replaced by a terrifying evil spirit radiating an energy momentum.
Before this unimaginable Intent to Kill, anything he did would be torn apart without hesitation…
“Shirou! Rin! Snap out of it!”
Despite being shaken by the Bloodlust for an instant, Saber quickly reacted and charged forward, swinging her sword.
Strike Air!
The windswept around the sword’s blade, layers upon layers of wind, were suddenly released with a single breath and transformed into a sweeping military-level weapon technique. Its power is the strongest attack aside from Noble Phantasm.
Of course, you’d use everything you’ve got when facing such an enemy.
A fiercely condensed Fierce WindShockwave shot out from the sword’s tip, piercing through the atmosphere and instantly penetrating Kuzuki’s figure!
“Hit… no, it’s a Phantom!”
The moment he realized this, a cold shiver ran up his spine, like an illusion of ice pillars stabbing into his internal organs.
“Bang!”
Saber’s legs surged with Mana under the A-level [ManaRelease]Tech. In one breath, he transformed himself into a rocket-like charge and spun around while tucking his waist, slicing out a sword beam.
Time seemed to slow down to an extreme degree at that moment. Saber’s memories suddenly began rewinding in the blink of an eye…
When did he start noticing this? After countless battles, he suddenly mastered a strange intuition.
In battle, he always predicted his opponents’ actions and found the most advantageous outcome for himself. From then on, he never got ambushed or made mistakes, acting like his usual self, steadily moving toward the “correct” path to help him win battles.
But this time… he messed up.
He failed this time.
His instincts warned of a direction without any attacks, but he ended up walking into a lethal attack with no warnings.
Holding several flickering Phantoms, Kuzuki slowly extended his right hand like an iron hook to grab Saber’s neck. The immense force in his arm froze all of Saber’s subsequent movements, and before Saber could react, he spun around, drove his elbow through his fingers, and used the Hokuto technique to throw her out like a missile.
With Emiya Shirou and Tohsaka Rin watching, Kuzuki threw Saber at 400 km/h with a 55 kg armor. She was launched across thousands of meters, smashing through several large trees before disappearing into the forest.
After the intense airflow subsided, the calm, towering man turned around and looked toward Emiya Shirou and Tohsaka Rin.
His heart tightened, nearly making it impossible for Emiya Shirou to breathe.
“What’s going on?”
He couldn’t understand…
Suddenly, he looked at the two MonsterComs. One of them killed him instantly, then revived him, only for that Monster to chase him down again and summon Saber. Then, a familiar face suddenly appeared—Teacher Kuzuki.
And then… he struck Saber with a finishing move.
Killed Saber……
Already a chaotic mess of a brain, struggling to understand the situation before him, struggling to think, and feeling the faint flicker of life from Contract which side.
No, Saber… he hasn’t died yet. Contract is still here. Saber hasn’t died!
A towering red silhouette suddenly blocks Emiya Shirou and Tohsaka Rin, followed by a faint sigh in Emiya Shirou’s ear—a voice he was so familiar with, down to his bones, a voice that had become instinct.
“Trace on!”
The ground begins to crack and is filled with armor. Flame and massive Gear-like structures rise like a forge in the World, countless swords are driven vertically into the barren land, stars collide and scatter wildly, Heaven and Earth are exchanged!
