    Chapter 170 Each Person’s Preparation

Kuzuki walked over to the gem sealing Ryuudou Issei and gently flicked the amber with his hand.

With a soft crack, the crystal began to fracture from the point of contact with his finger, spreading spiderweb-like cracks across the entire gem, which then shattered into countless fragments.

Ryuudou Issei, who was sealed within, launched an attack on the life form before him the moment he gained his freedom, seemingly without the ability to discern friend from foe.

Kuzuki reached out, firmly grasping Ryuudou Issei’s fist, while his other hand quickly tapped on his head.

    Secret Acupuncture Points·Forgetfulness.

Ryuudou Issei froze, halting his movements.

After being struck at the secret acupuncture points, a strange energy began to stimulate his brain, awakening deep memories and dispelling all enchanting effects.

On the other side, under the immense and heavy pressure, Emiya Shirou and Tohsaka Rin faced Kuzuki, slowly retreating step by step.

Kuzuki was an existence they could not defeat; even if Saber were here, it would be the same.

They had to gather everyone’s strength to have any hope of winning, so the two hoped to avoid drawing Kuzuki’s attention and quietly escape.

“What… what happened to me, Teacher Kuzuki? Why are you here?” Ryuudou Issei awoke from his confusion, completely unaware of everything that had just occurred.

Kuzuki glanced at the two preparing to escape with a half-smile, causing their movements to freeze instantly.

“I encountered a bit of an unexpected situation and unexpectedly found Emiya and Tohsaka.”

Ryuudou Issei’s expression changed as he recalled what Tohsaka Rin had said earlier.

    “Teacher Kuzuki… are they non-human?”

“Before I answer your question, where did you get this doubt from?”

Ryuudou Issei paused for a moment and said, “Emiya has always been honest, and the fox girl never jokes at critical moments. I believe they are not lying… However, I also trust that Teacher Kuzuki would not deceive me, so I would like to hear Teacher Kuzuki’s answer.”

“That’s how it is, it seems my appearance led Emiya and Tohsaka to a mistaken conclusion. In terms of physiological structure, cellular organization, and molecular composition, I am no different from a human, but in some aspects, I have exceeded the abilities of an ordinary person, which is probably why Emiya and Tohsaka concluded that I am… non-human.”

“So, the truth is up to you to decide.”

Kuzuki’s body moved, disappearing and reappearing like a specter behind Emiya Shirou and Tohsaka Rin.

“Now, setting aside our identities as student and teacher, and acting as participants in the Holy Grail War, Emiya, Tohsaka, you two are already my captives…”

Emiya Shirou turned around to protect Tohsaka Rin, a cold sweat dripping down his cheek.

Although Kuzuki hadn’t released his Bloodlust, the pressure he emitted was still overwhelming.

Anyone who had witnessed Kuzuki’s battle style would likely feel the same way.

The individual in front of them was a monster, and in his presence, even resisting would be futile, a crushing defeat without a doubt.

    But…

Tohsaka Rin was behind him, and he couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.

Emiya Shirou’s sense of justice wouldn’t allow him to back down.

“Kuzuki, what do you plan to do?”

“Abandon your role as Master, or be killed by me.” The cold, emotionless words came from Kuzuki’s mouth, devoid of even a hint of warmth.

Emiya Shirou gripped the branch in his hand tightly, his mind racing for an escape plan, but no matter how he thought, he couldn’t avoid the outcome of certain death.

    “I give up.”

A calm and clear voice rang out from behind Emiya Shirou.

“Archer has already been killed by you, and the remaining Servants have their own Masters. I abandon my participation in the war.” Tohsaka Rin took a step back, her voice firm.

“Tohsaka!” Emiya Shirou wanted to say something, but found himself at a loss for words. Tohsaka Rin’s decision was the right one; not everyone was determined to stop the Holy Grail War, to stop the bloodshed. Resisting Kuzuki would only lead to death, and Emiya Shirou had no intention of forcing others to die.

Let’s just say, he felt a wave of relief…He wouldn’t have to worry about his resistance causing the deaths of others.

“I won’t give up.” Emiya Shirou looked at Kuzuki, his gaze resolute. “I will stop you. I know this is a foolish endeavor, perhaps even ridiculous, but I won’t give up.”

“Wait a minute, Emiya! Are you really sure you know what you’re saying?!” Tohsaka Rin’s expression flickered, suspecting she’d misheard.

    “That’s simply how I feel.”

    Kuzuki nodded.

“A commendable resolve, unfortunately, with no Strength to back it up, it’s just an empty resolve.”

In a Movement too fast for anyone to see, Kuzuki made his move.

Emiya Shirou was oblivious, only realizing he’d been hit when pain shot through his Body.

His vision darkened, his mind and Body began to shut down.

    Bam.

Emiya Shirou fell back, crashing to the Ground.

Tohsaka Rin’s heart skipped a beat, blood rushing to her head, her vision swimming.

    Emiya Shirou is dead?

Guilt, hatred, regret – In an Instant, a torrent of negative emotions flooded Tohsaka Rin’s soul.

    I should have stopped Emiya…

No, if it weren’t for Kuzuki…

At the end of the day, the Holy Grail War is like this, isn’t it…

“Emiya!” Ryuudou Issei stared in shock at Emiya Shirou collapsing, his mind blank. By the time his Reaction caught up, his Body had already moved, rushing forward and scooping up Emiya Shirou’s Corpes.

    “Teacher Kuzuki! Why…kill…”

His words died in his throat.

Ryuudou Issei gasped, feeling the Body he held.

His heart was still beating powerfully.

“Uh, why knock Emiya unconscious…and also, Master, what’s Kyūbei?”

    Swoosh.

A Yin energy projectile struck Ryuudou Issei, and Ryuudou Issei immediately felt soft and fell asleep.

Holy Grail War adheres to the principle of concealment.

Mysterious knowledge such as Magecraft is strictly prohibited from being leaked to Ordinary Person.

Tohsaka Rin knocked Ryuudou Issei out of order to protect him…

Mage’s Association has always used any means to ensure that “mystery” is mysterious enough.

This Yin Qi bomb’s power isn’t that high, at most it would just put Ryuudou Issei to sleep for half a day.

“I thought you’d block my Attack.” Tohsaka Rin retracted her finger, watching as Emiya Shirou regained his Calm.

    “No Intent to Kill.”

“Then, you didn’t kill Emiya-san, but instead knocked him unconscious. What’s the purpose? I don’t think you’re the type to suddenly go soft-hearted.”

“There are better uses…” Kuzuki walked over to the unconscious pair, picking them up one-handed each and tucking them into his waist.

    Hmph, to use as bait…

Tohsaka Rin silently watched Kuzuki walk towards the highway with the two individuals in his grasp, a feeling of powerlessness rising in her heart.

She knew Kuzuki saw through everything, both Emiya Shirou’s answer and her temporary compromise to back down.

    He understood it all perfectly.

Even knowing this, he didn’t stop it.

Was it Absolute confidence in his own strength?

Or was he acting according to his own principles?

If it was the former, Tohsaka Rin would give him a big surprise, and if it was the latter…

    ……A terrifying person.

    Tohsaka Rin reached her conclusion.
