    Chapter 171 Einzbern

Kuzuki brought the unconscious Emiya Shirou and Ryuudou Issei back to the Ryūdō Temple.

After settling Ryuudou Issei, Kuzuki found Medea (Caster) and presented Emiya Shirou to her.

“He’s Saber’s Master; can we find Saber through the connection between him and his Servant?” Kuzuki wasn’t sure if Magecraft could accomplish this.

Medea (Caster) took out the Sceptre (Hekate’s Sceptre) and drew a complex Magecraft array in the air, unfolding a Magic Circle with runes that swam like tadpoles, enveloping Emiya Shirou’s body.

The next moment, Medea (Caster)’s expression changed.

    “He’s not the Master!”

Kuzuki’s gaze fixed, and he grabbed Emiya Shirou’s right hand.

The red Command Spell pattern was visible, but Kuzuki rubbed it with his hand, smudging the pattern.

Of course, the Command Spell pattern couldn’t be erased so easily; this was just a fake, improved pattern.

    “It seems Tohsaka outsmarted us…”

Unexpectedly, Emiya Shirou wasn’t the Master; Tohsaka Rin was.

Not being the Master yet still jumping into the fray… this was indeed Emiya’s style.

“Since this kid is useless, why not turn him into a puppet?” Medea (Caster) suggested, eager to try.

Kuzuki raised his hand to stop her: “A teacher’s affection is not so heartless; there’s no need to be so ruthless.”

Medea (Caster) was taken aback, feeling that this wasn’t like the Kuzuki she knew.

Although she had seen glimpses of Kuzuki’s past in her dreams and had forgotten most of it, she could sense his character.

He wasn’t exactly heartless, but at least he was cold and unfeeling; when had he become so soft?

This was a recent change, and although Medea (Caster) felt Kuzuki had changed, she didn’t dislike this side of him.

“Just keep him under control for now; we can use him as a hostage,” Kuzuki added.

    Medea (Caster): “Uh… I understand.”

Kuzuki nodded and walked out: “The Berserker should be at Einzbern; if we kill him and obtain the Holy Grail, Assassin and Saber will be of no concern.”

Medea (Caster) retrieved the Sceptre of Hekate, put Emiya Shirou in her pocket dimension, and followed Kuzuki.

“Master, are we launching a raid on Einzbern tonight?”

“That’s right, the Holy Grail War should come to an end.”

Matou Zouken and Assassin were temporarily in hiding, unable to be found, so the remaining target was Einzbern, which was out in the open; Matou Zouken’s goal was the Holy Grail, and he wouldn’t stand idly by while Kuzuki claimed it – win or lose, Kuzuki had made sufficient preparations.

In the dense forest to the northwest of Fuyuki City.

Amidst the sea of trees stood the grand and majestic Einzbern castle.

As early as the beginning of the Common Era, the disciples of the Third True Magic user created a workshop to recreate the Third Magic, which is now the Einzbern castle.

However, no matter how hard they tried, the disciples were unable to recreate the Third Magic on their own, so they resorted to creating a homunculus identical to the Third True Magic user, hoping to complete the Third Magic through its strength.

After 900 years of futile searching, a homunculus known as the Winter Saint, Ilyasviel, appeared by chance.

Although the Winter Saint could replicate the Third True Magic user’s abilities and recreate true magic, this was merely a coincidence, unrelated to the disciples’ 900 years of effort.

The culmination of their efforts, the ultimate technique they had developed, was the castle’s humanoid terminal, Jubstacheit von Einzbern.

The disciples realized their limitations, that the Winter Saint’s miracle would not be repeated, and that it was impossible to surpass it; they either died or left, leaving behind only the homunculi and the castle to fend for themselves.

The homunculi inherited the wishes of the Magus, continuing to replicate and create on their own.

Until the 18th century, Magus Makiri Zōken’s visit to Einzbern was the catalyst for the initiation of the Holy Grail War scheme.

And Illyasviel von Einzbern, the “Little Holy Grail” and Master of Berserker, who participated in the Holy Grail War for the fifth time in 3 hundred years, would dedicate her remaining light to fulfill the two-thousand-year wish of the Einzbern family.

    This is the last chance.

Throughout the two thousand years of inheritance, the homunculi have undergone constant iterations.

As the administrator of Einzbern… the humanoid terminal… Jubstacheit von Einzbern (Jubstacheit) has already reached its 8h generation, and at this moment, the internal Strength, which operates as a personality, has nearly worn away.

Regardless of whether the outcome of this Holy Grail War is victory or failure, Einzbern will cease to exist.

(What would happen to a system composed entirely of homunculi if it lacked the humanoid terminal that operates as its core?

It would merely stagnate, perish, or fall apart.)

Homunculi do not ponder such matters; they are merely puppets, and as long as the commands exist, they will continue to operate.

    This time is no different.

In order to seize victory, Einzbern summoned the demigod Hero… Heracles (Berserker) 2 months in advance and erased his consciousness with a spell.

Even with such thorough preparations, it still feels insufficient in the face of that monster.

The grand castle now appears incredibly empty and desolate.

After all, the entire castle, along with the outsiders, consists of only 5 individuals, not even filling one-tenth of the rooms.

In a luxurious room filled with warmth like spring, the silver-haired girl with red eyes glared at the girl before her and mocked, “Rin, you’re so useless; you lost Shirou just by going out for a bit.”

Tohsaka Rin’s forehead throbbed with veins as she suppressed her anger and explained, “You saw the strength of that monster, Kuzuki; encountering him leaves us with no chance of victory. Preserving our strength is the most important thing.”

Behind her, Saber stood there in full blue and white armor, agreeing, “Rin’s judgment is correct; that man possesses strength beyond that of a Servant.”

Ilyasviel snorted and said, “Then, let’s talk about why Rin would take the risk of going outside the barrier.”

“Of course, it’s for victory,” Tohsaka Rin said confidently: “If we can create this Magecraft Equipment, our chances of winning will increase significantly.”

Ilyasviel’s eyes sparkled, and she jumped down from the chair with a smile: “Let me see it.”

    “No way.”

Tohsaka Rin flatly refused, as this was the Tohsaka Household’s inherited Absolute treasure, a Magecraft Equipment that touched upon the second true magic, and it was impossible to let an outsider see it.

“We must rescue Emiya…” Tohsaka Rin muttered to herself.

In the Scheme, Emiya Shirou was an indispensable part, using Ilyasviel’s nearly infinite Mana as the source, and through Emiya Shirou’s projection Magecraft, combined with Tohsaka Rin’s design drawings, to recreate the second true magic’s Miracle.

“Kuzuki probably won’t kill Emiya, but the caster is a different story…”

Tohsaka Rin was well aware of the caster’s methods, and in order to collect Mana and perfect the terrain, they wouldn’t hesitate to drain the Life Force of others, so why would they spare Emiya Shirou’s life.

“I thought the caster’s Master was just a puppet, but judging from Kuzuki’s performance, it’s likely that Kuzuki is the one in control.”

Just thinking about the scene she had seen before, Tohsaka Rin couldn’t help but feel frustrated.

“That guy, he even has the nerve to call himself Human, what’s Human-like about him apart from his appearance?”

“Rin, have you calmed down? Losing Shirou is your responsibility, come up with a plan to rescue him immediately.”

    “Huh?”

Tohsaka Rin jumped up in anger: “That idiot, fool, not only did he not follow the plan, but he even went to provoke Kuzuki, let him suffer a bit.”

The castle’s maid, Liz, suddenly burst in, saying: “Ilyasviel, the Barrier has been breached, there may be an intruder.”

The little loli, dressed in exquisite clothing, clenched her Fist, feeling a sense of unease rising in her heart, but this feeling was quickly dispelled, as behind her stood a Giant, over 3 meters tall, strong to the extreme, exhaling white breath, taking a step forward.

Yes, there’s nothing to fear, Berserker is the strongest, with Berserker by her side, that’s all she needs!

“Let’s go, Saber.” Tohsaka Rin’s gaze was resolute; the opponent was formidable, but they had made ample preparations.

“Roger that.” Saber responded succinctly, her fighting spirit soaring. She had underestimated the enemy before, but not this time!
