Chapter 180 Great Holy Grail
Kuzuki’s hand flashed with 2 red lights, corresponding to [Remove Negative Status] and [Restore Mana].
This allowed Medea (Caster) to instantly return to her peak condition and awaken from her unconscious state.
“Master?” Medea (Caster) was momentarily stunned, recalling that she had been knocked out by Tohsaka Rin due to her carelessness, and then she reacted to the fact that Kuzuki had saved her.
Although it was somewhat embarrassing to be defeated by an underage Magus, this was clearly not the time to think about that.
Her body felt great, and her mana was abundant; if they fought again, she would absolutely not lose.
Medea (Caster) took out her Sceptre (Hekate’s Sceptre) and was about to launch an attack when Kuzuki suddenly pressed down on her shoulder.
“Stop it, Medea (Caster)…”
“Lord Souichirou… as long as we deal with those 2, we can obtain the Holy Grail, right?”
“The Holy Grail is already in my hands.” Kuzuki displayed the unconscious Ilyasviel he was holding in his arms.
“What……” Medea (Caster) slightly parted her lips in surprise, looking at Ilyasviel: “A homunculus? The heart part is quite special, such massive mana…”
Kuzuki’s hand moved down, wrapping around Medea (Caster)’s slender waist, pulling her closer to him.
“Lord Souichirou……” Medea (Caster) instantly blushed, leaning against Kuzuki’s chest with the force. “There are still people watching…”
Kuzuki’s line of sight swept over, and Tohsaka Rin and Saber immediately put on a nonchalant expression, pretending not to see.
“It’s fine, if we move from here to Ryūdō Temple, do you have enough mana right now?”
Medea (Caster)’s ears turned red as she tilted her face up in Kuzuki’s embrace and said, “Enough to transfer everyone here to Ryūdō Temple.”
“Alright, let’s do that. Tohsaka, Saber, you both come along too.”
Saber looked at Tohsaka Rin, her gaze inquiring.
“Rin, what should we do?”
Now Tohsaka Rin is her Master, she still has to listen to her Master’s opinion.
“The initiative is in the other party’s hands, let’s see what they want to do.”
Tohsaka Rin walked to Emiya Shirou’s side and put him on her shoulder.
In this situation, if we battle, it would be pointless; our chances of winning are less than 0.1%.
The opponent just doesn’t want to kill.
Rather than that, it’s better to see what the other party is up to.
After Tohsaka Rin made the decision, Saber fell silent and did not refute.
Instead, she stepped forward, put her arm around Emiya’s other shoulder, and lifted him up.
A giant Magic Circle appeared beneath everyone’s feet, engulfing them all.
Hum……
A massive amount of Mana surged along the lines, and a blinding Light suddenly burst forth.
When the Light subsided, everyone had appeared on the Back Mountain of Ryūdō Temple.
“Hey, you over there, the one with the blissful expression. Release Shirou from his unconscious state!” Tohsaka Rin, carrying the unconscious Emiya Shirou, shouted at Medea (Caster).
Medea (Caster) snorted angrily and said, “Let me make it clear, I didn’t do anything to this kid. It looks like you messed him up.”
Kuzuki released his grip on Medea (Caster)’s arm, put Ilyasviel down, and then walked to Emiya Shirou’s side.
Under the watchful eyes of Saber and Tohsaka Rin, he pointed his finger at Emiya Shirou’s forehead.
Emiya Shirou was knocked unconscious by Kuzuki using Hokuto Shinken (Fist of the North Star)’s Special Technique.
To wake him up, he had to intervene, or wait for a sufficiently long time for him to wake up on his own.
“Mmm, my head hurts… Tohsaka and Saber?” Emiya Shirou clearly didn’t know what happened while he was unconscious. His memory was still at the point where he stepped forward to protect himself from Kuzuki.
Catching sight of Kuzuki standing nearby, Emiya Shirou jolted: “Kuzuki, and Caster is here too. What’s going on?”
Kuzuki turned around, hugged Ilyasviel, and walked towards the Back Mountain.
Only now did Emiya Shirou see Illya’s figure and was taken aback, completely bewildered.
Saber sheathed her blade and walked up to Emiya Shirou: “Shirou, let’s talk as we walk.”
So, Kuzuki walked at the front with Illya in his arms, Medea (Caster) followed behind Kuzuki, Tohsaka Rin walked in the middle with a puzzled expression and looked around, and finally, Saber and Emiya Shirou, who were explaining what had happened, brought up the rear.
Ryūdō Temple was built on Garden Cang Mountain, but Garden Cang Mountain wasn’t just home to Ryūdō Temple.
At the foot of the mountain, there was a hidden cave.
The cave’s surroundings were set up with Magecraft, so even if someone stumbled upon it by accident, the Magecraft would unconsciously cause them to ignore it….for everyone else.
Kuzuki entered first, and Medea (Caster) released illuminating Magecraft behind him to light up the surroundings.
The cave sloped downward, deep as if leading to the underworld.
After walking through a long, spiraling tunnel, they finally arrived at the bottom of the earth, and their eyes were suddenly opened wide.
An endless dull sky canopy, a vast space that resembled a world underground.
Medea (Caster) extinguished the illuminating Magecraft in her hand because it was no longer needed.
The giant cave’s surface was covered with a glowing moss that illuminated the surroundings in a vibrant green.
Great Source Mana, overflowing to the point of almost being tangible, filled the entire space.
The overflowing “vitality” mana flow was surging endlessly, and even an ordinary person who wasn’t a Magus could feel the extraordinary degree.
In the center of the large hole, several kilometers in diameter, was a huge cliff.
Above the cliff was the system that had been operating non-stop for 2 hundred years.
It housed the massive Magic Circle known as the Great Holy Grail, with a depression in the center resembling a basin, and a black Fire Pillar burning inside.
At its heart, was the Cup of Heaven, a ring-shaped corridor.
The vortex of Mana from Endless swirls gently around the Cup of Heaven, a reserve so vast that even if all the Magi worldwide conspired to squander it, they would never deplete the supply; to an individual, it truly is an “endless” Mana.
Upon the cliff’s edge, a figure stands, as if it had been waiting there since the very beginning.
“Sakura?”
Emiya Shirou and Tohsaka Rin looked on in astonishment at the figure on the cliff.
Yet, there was no response; Matou Sakura hung her head, motionless.
Why is Matou Sakura here?
During previous conversations with Matou Sakura, Kuzuki had made contact with her body, confirming that there were no other life signs within, the Old Worm’s main body should not be in her heart.
Kuzuki attempted an Energy Channel Scan to intuit or sense the breath of others, but the dense Mana within the Large Hole interfered with his intuition, preventing him from scanning for anyone else.
Kuzuki was not surprised by this.
After scanning the entire Fuyuki City, Kuzuki still found no trace of the Old Worm, and since then, he had been pondering where Matou Zouken could be hiding.
What place could be close to the Holy Grail System and yet evade the searches of others?
There could only be one place.
That place is this Large Hole.
At this moment, Matou Zouken and True Assassin must be hiding nearby, and the reason Sakura is here must also be related to Matou Zouken.
Just then, the figure of Matou Sakura standing on the cliff began to tremble, and then, as if losing consciousness, she fell headfirst from the cliff.
Twenty meters down, with a mortal fall in such a vulnerable physical body, Sakura’s impact on the ground would undoubtedly be fatal.
“Sakura!” ×2.
Tohsaka Rin and Emiya Shirou rushed forward in a panic.
