Chapter 184 The Restraining Force Strikes

In the final moments, Kuzuki steps forward.

The content of the Wish was not to grant Medea (Caster) flesh, to give her form; nor was it to send Kuzuki back to the ancient times of Greece; nor was it to bestow upon me the immense Strength of Stronger.

But rather, “Purify the Evil of This World.”

If the Evil of This World can be purified, then the Holy Grail would be the True complete entity, sufficient to fulfill any individual’s desire, such as: granting everyone present their heart’s desire.

The only concern was whether this discounted Holy Grail Wish machine could complete the task of “Purify the Evil of This World.”

As Kuzuki attempted to voice his wish, the Heaven and Earth Vital Energy suddenly produced an anomaly, a colossal will converged and descended upon this place.

Type-Moon’s Heaven and Earth Vital Energy was under control, and within the Primal Energy there lay a certain will.

Kuzuki had noticed this trace when he used Dragon Breathing and Walking Technique for cultivation, finding it difficult to harness the Heaven and Earth Vital Energy for his own use, hence he usually resorted to Tenglong Breathing and Walking Technique for cultivation.

Now, the faint will within the Primal Energy, almost imperceptible, suddenly intensified.

It felt like the usual unnoticeable sunlight pressure suddenly transforming into the pressure of deep water.

The atmospheric pressure hadn’t increased, but there was a mountain-like weight pressing on the heart.

Even Ordinary Persons, though unable to sense this pressure, would feel inexplicably restless, their mood suddenly anxious, their emotions disturbed.

As Magus, Emiya Shirou, Tohsaka Rin, Ilyasviel, and Matou Sakura were more sensitive to the changes in Mana in the atmosphere, they each faced the enemy with pale faces, their bodies trembling slightly.

The might of Heaven and Earth,

As Servants, Medea (Caster) and Artoria, not to mention, not only sensed the pressure but even felt their bodies slightly bound.

    “Alaya? Or is it Gaia?”

Kuzuki lifted his head, staring upwards as if conversing with an invisible will.

The Restraining Force only emerges when the factor of “The World potentially perishing” is produced, with human actions entrusted to Alaya, natural disasters or extraterrestrial matters to Gaia.

Could it be that Kuzuki’s wish would destroy the world?

Whether the World will perish is not decided by Kuzuki, nor by humans, but by the “Collective Unconscious”…

    by Alaya.

The Restraining Force’s grand appearance here clearly reveals its judgment.

Long ago, when Kuzuki was in Mifune City, he once felt the Restraining Force during his combat with Ryougi Shiki.

Every time he aimed to kill Ryougi Shiki, he was thwarted by various mishaps.

But that manifestation of the Restraining Force was nowhere near as intense as this time.

To alter everything without anyone’s observation, silently and subtly, is the style of the Restraining Force.

Why is it making such a commotion now?

Disregarding the heavy pressure on his mind, Kuzuki stepped forward, preparing to make his wish.

As Kuzuki moved, the invisible vortex shrouding the entire Large Hole began to rotate, and the intangible pressure permeating the surroundings suddenly dissipated, like the calm before a storm.

At the same time, a sudden sense of danger rose in Kuzuki’s heart.

The next moment, a meteor rose from the far reaches, hurtling towards their location in an instant.

The sense of crisis from his Spiritual Awareness was not intense, but for Kuzuki, an attack that could evoke such a feeling in him was enough to kill most of the people present.

The silence indicated that the attack’s speed had surpassed the sound barrier.

The speed of that flowing light was nearly ten times the speed of sound, covering a distance of 2 kilometers in less than a second.

In that brief moment, Kuzuki had no time to think, relying more on instinctual reactions in the state of extreme speed.

However, his instinctual reaction in that moment, by some twist of fate, turned out to be the worst possible choice.

Normally, Kuzuki wouldn’t make this mistake, but this was no ordinary time.

As Saber reacted and instinctively retreated, Kuzuki acted simultaneously, circling his arms to instantly encompass everyone around him, his Energy Shield bursting forth to cover them all.

In that instant, Kuzuki chose the “defense” movement.

After completing these movements, Kuzuki suddenly felt a hint of doubt and immediately reacted… it was Alaya’s interference.

    A meteor descended.

It was an arrow, one that looked somewhat familiar… the Spiral Sword’s transformed arrow.

The arrow’s target wasn’t Kuzuki, nor anyone on the scene…

    but the “hole”.

Just before the arrow reached the “hole”, it suddenly burst apart, releasing a blinding light that radiated from the shattered arrow.

    Boom!

A massive fireball with a diameter of over a hundred meters suddenly appeared in the large hole, its explosive mana currents carrying a hint of Distortion Space, instantly destroying the surrounding magecraft laid down around the “hole”.

The high temperature and shockwave surged forth, causing the entire cliff to tremble.

A figure emerged from the expanding fireball, landing awkwardly below the cliff, dodging just in time, and with an Anti-Magic resistance of A-rank, managed to negate most of the attack’s power, leaving Saber with only minor injuries.

The light on the body’s surface flashed, and the armor returned to its original shape, with the wound disappearing… as a Servant, as long as there’s sufficient mana, injuries can be healed.

    “Rin! Shirou!”

Saber was frantic with worry, just about to rush up the cliff when she saw dozens of tiny lights reappear in the direction the arrow came from, charging towards them once more, though this time the attack’s speed was not as fast as before.

With mana transforming into propulsion, Saber shot up like a cannonball, blocking the attack’s path, her arms striking out in succession to unleash over a dozen sword lights, deflecting all the attacks.

“This attack method… it’s reminiscent of a certain individual…” As this thought flashed by, Saber’s body trembled, overcome with a sense of unease.

In the sky above the cliff, a waterfall of dark red liquid poured out of the hole, its malice spreading wildly, enough to make anyone puke.

The air was thick with the stench of death, like a viscous darkness, like mud.

That was a curse that had reached a visual level!

It acted upon a spirit, absorbing a physical body.

You don’t need to think twice to know what would happen if you touched it.

On the cliff, the ground sank several meters deep, the soil burned and melted into magma, slowly flowing down the walls of the pit.

In the pit, there was a pillar the size of a pool table, intact.

Everyone huddled together, standing on the pillar…under Kuzuki’s protection, every individual was safe and sound.

    Except Kuzuki.

Kuzuki coughed up a mouthful of blood, half-kneeling on the ground, blood gushing out of his mouth, to a terrifying degree.

Protective Aura’s defense was very strong, the more concentrated it was, the stronger the defense; conversely, the more it spread, the weaker the defense.

Kuzuki’s normal Protective Aura was only 3 feet thick, now it spread to several meters, its defensive power decreased by more than tenfold.

    “Souichirou!”

Medea (Caster) eyes were filled with tears, completely panicked, her hands fumbled to heal Kuzuki.

However, at this time, the Black Mud of “Evil of This World” had already poured out of the hole.

Whether it was Medea (Caster) as a Servant or everyone as Magi, as long as they touched the Black Mud, the consequences would be terrible.
