Chapter 213 Sense of Time and Sense of Space
Kuzuki’s Stand, its current Ability is to control the sense of Time and sense of Space.
That’s right, it’s sense of Time and sense of Space, not Time and Space.
The difference between them is huge, the latter is a high-level Ability of the time-space system, while the former is just a mid-to-low level Ability of the illusion system.
The sense of Time and sense of Space are also known as the Seventh Sense and Eighth Sense.
Apart from the 6 senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and consciousness, humans also have the Seventh Sense of Time and the Eighth Sense of Space, which have a significant impact on humans.
The sense of Time is the feeling of perceiving the passage of Time, and there is an organ in the human brain that sends pulse signals to nerve cells at a certain frequency, which is not constant.
Every individual can feel it, and when they are happy, Time passes extremely quickly, while under tense emotions, Time passes extremely slowly.
The reason for this feeling is the change in the frequency of the organ’s pulse.
And one pulse cycle is the smallest Time difference that humans can perceive, as long as the Time difference is less than this difference, humans’ intuition will consider 2 events to be happening at the same time, without any distinction between before and after.
The sense of Space, on the other hand, is based on the spatial positioning of external objects, which serves as a stimulus source for the Life form’s perception, forming the Ability to construct a spatial representation, that is, the sense of Space.
Although this is the result of the joint activity of various special senses, vision (visual space) and touch (tactile space) are the most important elements, relying on the active movement of these sensory organs to recognize direction, distance, body position, and identify the 3-dimensional position and configuration of objects.
Kuzuki’s Stand can influence others’ sense of Time and sense of Space, and the premise of activating the Ability is that the Stand’s hand must come into contact with the Target, once the condition is met, Kuzuki can arbitrarily change the Target’s sense of Space and Time through his Stand.
The specific manifestation is……
When the Enemy is hit by Kuzuki’s Stand, they will be unable to perceive the distance, that is, they will be unable to determine the position of other objects.
Clearly, Kuzuki was right in front of him, both visible and audible, yet he couldn’t discern Kuzuki’s exact position… The result was that he swung his fist from dozens of meters away, and the direction of the punch was completely off; he wanted to move forward, but was actually retreating; he aimed to jump into the air, but only managed to leap ten centimeters.
Another manifestation of the Enemy…
Unable to perceive the passage of Time, he had lost his grip on the Ability of Time.
For instance, when Kuzuki was influenced by his own Stand earlier, he felt like he was punching at the Stand, with no abnormalities in sight, sound, Super Sensory Perception, or Energy Channel Scanning, yet in reality, he was punching downwards at a Stand 3 meters away at an angle!
Moreover, he had been Attacking for a full ten minutes of Time!
However, in Kuzuki’s perception, he felt like he had only Attacked for 2 seconds before he Reacted and stopped the Attack… but in reality, ten minutes had already passed!
When Kuzuki released the Stand’s Ability, he suddenly Reacted, but the reality still had a strange sense of dislocation compared to his feelings at that moment (even after releasing the Ability, the memory of that time still felt the same; it was just that Kuzuki could correct the memory through the perspective and sensations of the Stand).
Although it was an illusion-type Ability, it was terrifying…
If caught in it, it would be like a fish on the chopping board, completely at the mercy of others.
Moreover, Kuzuki felt that his Stand was not that simple!
Even though he understood his Ability, he still did not grasp the Essence of his Ability.
It was like hearing the roar of an engine and knowing it was a bulldozer; Kuzuki still felt he hadn’t touched the Essence of his Stand’s Ability!
“If I forcibly awaken it using external forces, will the Ability carry a hint of the unknown…” Kuzuki pondered repeatedly, yet still couldn’t figure out the Essence of the Ability, so he gave up on the thought.
Such matters cannot be resolved by mere thought; only through constant use and familiarity can one achieve complete and thorough Mastery of the Stand!
“Moreover… there is still depth to be developed, so let’s first utilize this Ability and develop a few effects.”
After continuous use and manipulation, Kuzuki temporarily developed 4 basic applications, and by combining these 4 methods, he could Produce dozens of different effects!
The first effect is: when an Enemy is hit by a Stand, the Enemy’s perception of the SurroundingsSpace is drastically stretched, making everything around them feel incredibly distant, like a vast emptiness (it can be specific objects, or affect everything indiscriminately).
Battle example: After a Stand’s Ability activates, even if Kuzuki is standing just one meter away from the Enemy, the Enemy feels like Kuzuki is a thousand meters away.
Everything else remains unchanged.
That’s when the Enemy sees something strange: Kuzuki, supposedly a thousand meters away, can still Attack them with his Fist!
(With their spatial perception lost, the Enemy can’t tell how long Kuzuki’s arm is, nor the actual distance between them.
They only know it’s far, but can’t pinpoint the exact distance.
A thousand meters is just an example.) At the same time, the Enemy will give up on Attacking because they feel Kuzuki is so far away (they might use long-range Attack methods).
There are 3 other effects, which I’ll explain one by one after the Battle (otherwise you guys will say I’m stalling) (Kuzuki’s Ability is too complex… it’s still not a True Ability).
Exiting TrainingSpace, Kuzuki wakes up from his nap.
He doesn’t see Mitra’s Figure, but through Spiritual Awareness, he senses a familiar Breath nearby.
It must be Mitra.
Getting a sense of Mitra’s location, Kuzuki feels a bit itchy, wanting to Attack her to test his Ability (fighting oneself with a Stand is no fun).
Considering they are temporarily on the same side, Kuzuki drops the idea.
It’s better to wait for Jotaro and his group to arrive and then show them.
I’ll get to test their Combat Power… specifically Stand Battles, not crushing them with their Main Body.
Jotaro, who hasn’t mastered his Jikan TeishiAbility yet, even with Star Platinum being a 5A Stand, wouldn’t be much of a challenge for Kuzuki.
It would be just a matter of one punch.
After slightly organizing the Stand Users from the third and 4th parts of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure in his mind and running some calculations, Kuzuki discovered that the majority of Stand Users wouldn’t be able to defeat him.
However, this was based on the condition that he knew the opponent’s Stand Intelligence while they didn’t know his.
The most crucial aspect of a Stand battle is Intelligence; once you have a clear understanding of your opponent’s abilities, it becomes much easier to handle them.
With a turn of his mind, Kuzuki decided to verify something.
He wondered, if he were to clearly reveal his Ability to the Enemy, how would they go about counteracting his Stand?
(Of course, not now, but rather when he was about to leave The World.)
This wasn’t an attempt to intentionally put himself in a difficult situation or create a reverse cheat code.
It was just that… even Kuzuki himself couldn’t think of a way to counter his own Stand Ability; once caught, it would be game over… or so Kuzuki thought.
If you don’t know your weaknesses, you can’t improve.
There’s no such thing as an Absolute Perfect Ability in the world (not even Time Manipulation can’t be countered), and Kuzuki’s Stand has weaknesses that can be exploited… but Kuzuki himself couldn’t think of any, believing his Ability was already near perfect.
If someone could counter Kuzuki’s Stand, he wouldn’t be disappointed; instead, he’d be delighted, for he would have discovered his Stand’s weaknesses… and could then work on compensating for them, making his Stand even more perfect!
After all, Kuzuki’s true killing move was actually his Main Body.
It’s like a landlord holding a deck with all the strongest cards; they’d think, “How could you possibly win against me?”
I want to see…
If such a possibility exists.
