Chapter 26 Zhao Wuji’s Appearance
Exposed.
However, the most crucial piece of information has been obtained; we can now depart.
Kuzuki suddenly unleashed a burst of force, his muscles contracting tightly and his spine arcing dramatically as he propelled himself forward with incredible strength. His movements were powered by every muscle fiber, coalescing into a concentrated force that exploded outward in an instant.
“_SHA!”
Like a lightning bolt, it struck outward rapidly, reaching beyond ten meters before impacting the ground with a force generated by spring-like compression of his legs, converting Recoil Force into Forward Impact Force. The momentum was relentless and unstoppable.
Even just a Breathing Kung Fu move like this could propel him tens of meters outward!
“Who is there?” Kuzuki’s sudden movement within the room was easily noticeable by everyone. With his fastest speed, he exited the premises at an impressive pace, though even he couldn’t outrun their pursuit if it were head-on.
A swarm of people poured out from the City God Temple (Taoist temple).
“Elder Mo, where are our enemies?”
Elder Mo shook his head solemnly before replying: “He has fled; there’s no need to chase him anymore.”
Ru Shuang expressed worry as she asked, “Mo Elder, is it possibly Zhao Wuji’s associates?”
Elder Mo scratched his beard thoughtfully before stating uncertainly: “I don’t believe so. The martial arts displayed by that individual were far beyond what Zhao Wuji’s disciples typically possess.”
“Who is this person?” an onlooker asked.
“We’re unsure either; everyone should remain vigilant, as our plan might have been exposed.” Elder Mo reminded the crowd with a solemn expression.
Ru Shuang raised her eyebrows slightly and inquired, “Should we alter our plan? If Zhao Wuji discovers this operation, it could result in its failure.”
Elder Mo stood in place for a moment before contemplating. After a brief pause, he said, “We don’t know if this person is an enemy or friend yet; we can’t lose our composure based on one individual. This assassination opportunity from Zhao Wuji is quite rare and valuable once he returns to Beijing. After his return, there won’t be anyone left like him here. Let Little Tsui search around Guangzhou City for any martial arts experts who might be nearby. Given this person’s martial arts skills, they’re likely not someone of note.”
“Understood, Elder Mo.” Little Tsui, standing beside Ru Shuang and hearing the request, nodded in agreement.

After escaping from the City God Temple (Taoist temple), Kuzuki made his way to the Yihong Courtyard (Dream of the Red Chamber) and hide himself in a nearby inn.
He only needed to wait for an opportunity to strike.
On the seventh day of his arrival in this world, the target finally makes its appearance in Kuzuki’s vision.
There are four individuals present. The one with a receding hairline and an imposing face is recognized as Senggelinqin (Manchu-Mongol prince and general of the Qing Dynasty), who commands the highest authority among them. Next to him, slightly less in martial arts proficiency but with a level of subtlety that hints at experience, lies Zhao Wuji. The remaining two individuals are likely serving as guards or bodyguards.
Upon entering Yihong Courtyard (Dream of the Red Chamber) shortly after Senggelinqin and Zhao Wuji arrive with their two attendants, Su Can also arrives carrying a house servant for fun. However, instead of engaging in disruptive behavior as seen in the plot, it is advisable to intervene and stop him.
Kuzuki leapt from the inn rooftop and landed beside Su Can.
With a look of comprehension on his face, he quickly pulled Su Can into a run.
Senggelinqin (Manchu-Mongol prince and general of the Qing Dynasty) and Zhao Wuji are now engaged in conversation while Su Can watches from a distance. On the stage below, the characters are performing their roles with exaggerated expressions.
“This is unexpected, Su Can. It’s been ages since we’ve met again. How about challenging me to a fight?”
Zhao Wuji raises his hand in mock surprise and remarks, “I’m not sure if this will work out as planned.”
Su Can’s face lights up with excitement before realizing the situation has taken an unexpected turn.
Zhao Wuji continues, “This is just a warm-up. I’ve been honing my skills in martial arts for several days now.”
Kuzuki chuckles and says, “I still have the strength to engage in combat, which means my abilities haven’t diminished at all. Besides, I recently made some progress in my martial arts training. It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t share this with you.”
Zhao Wuji waves his hand and a deafening explosion of firecracker sound fills the air, sending shockwaves that knock Su Can’s hair backward.
“Oh no! My stomach is killing me. I think I need to go to the toilet!” Su Can yells in pain as he looks toward his companion for assistance.
Zhao Wuji turns and heads back into Yihong Courtyard (Dream of the Red Chamber).
Upon entering, two figures from behind appear—one is Su Can and the other is his companion. “There’s something fishy here,” Su Can remarks sarcastically as he attempts to hold onto Zhao Wuji.
Kuzuki approaches Zhao Wuji, who is now seated at a table with another individual engaging in conversation on stage.
“Prince, how do you feel about Guangdong’s big plays?” Zhao Wuji asks.
Senggelinqin (Manchu-Mongol prince and general of the Qing Dynasty) replied with a dismissive tone: “They’re just local theater productions. Nothing special compared to what we have here.”
Ru Shuang and Little Tsui appear on the second floor, where they are joined by a girl who remarks, “This Ru Shuang is here temporarily for a role play. Zhao Wuji, do you think I should host her for the night?”
Onlookers include Ru Shuang and Little Tsui, both of whom are strikingly beautiful and charming.
Zhao Wuji has his own plans and doesn’t pay much attention to women: “You should ask Prince first instead.”
Senggelinqin (Manchu-Mongol prince and general of the Qing Dynasty) is experienced in love but prefers battle-scarred women over high-class beauties. He jokingly remarks, “Everyone is your own person; don’t be too formal with Prince. Mr. Zhao, you can go.”
Zhao Wuji agrees, saying, “I’ll include her as my wife now.” The translation conveys his decision clearly.
Ru Shuang calls out, “Oui, please come here with me…”
Hearing someone call out, Ru Shuang and Little Tsui look over. Unsurprisingly, it’s Zhao Wuji.
Little Tsui feels nervous but holds her hand tightly: “Sister, it’s him, the killer of your father.”
Ru Shuang comforts her with a smile: “Don’t worry. Stay calm and follow me.”
Moving towards Zhao Wuji, they approach him confidently.
Upon closer inspection, the girl has an elegant purple robe, a graceful posture, fragrant skin, and a delicate complexion with her eyebrows like water and eyes that seem to draw you in.
Zhao Wuji admires her, saying, “She’s truly beautiful.”
Little Tsui interrupts, whispering, “Uncle Zhao, let’s go now…”
Zhao Wuji decides to include Ru Shuang, saying, “I’ll take care of her. I’ll find you later.”
Ru Shuang smiles sweetly: “Uncle Zhao, I’ll wait for you in my room.”
The two girls seem like clouds floating and vanishing. Senggelinqin teases Zhao Wuji humorously: “Don’t waste time with beauty, Mr. Prince; it might be too late.”
Zhao Wuji laughs confidently, addressing the girls: “Take care of Prince. Don’t let him down.” He then nods to Senggelinqin and leaves.
Kuzuki follows Zhao Wuji, determined to help him defeat his enemy.
With the gathering of several elders from Beggar Sect and Poison’s plot, this is a good opportunity to test Zhao Wuji’s strength.
With a crucial item in mind, Kuzuki is still uncertain about killing Zhao Wuji. He needs it to be certain.
Whether he can kill Zhao Wuji remains uncertain for him, but he knows the item is essential if he wants to succeed.
