Chapter 27 The Terrifying Innate True Qi!
A room filled with toxic dishes and drinks.
Each course includes heartbreak poison.
Elder Mo and the other two elders are hidden behind a soft bed, while Little Tsui is concealed behind a screen. Ru Shuang joins them as well, making a total of five people.
Fighting Zhao Wuji isn’t useful because it’s just small fish in a limited space. Five people fit perfectly.
Time seems to pass slowly in this confined room.
” ASA.”
The atmosphere becomes tense when Zhao Wuji opens the door.
“I didn’t expect you to set up drinks here; you’re very considerate.” Zhao Wuji sits at the table, holding a wine glass with a friendly smile.
“Let me help you, Uncle Zhao.” Ru Shuang gently takes the wine glass from Zhao Wuji and places cups of wine in front of each person.
A small mechanism inside the wine glass activates when the handle is pressed. On one side, there’s no poison.
Ru Shuang receives the unharmful wine.
“Uncle Zhao, I’ll take mine first.” Ru Shuang raises her glass and nods in respect for Zhao Wuji.
“Thank you. I won’t drink it,” Zhao Wuji says without taking a sip.
Ru Shuang feels nervous, seeing Zhao Wuji not drinking the poisoned wine. Her forehead starts to sweat.
Zhao Wuji places her wine glass on the table and leans forward, gripping Ru Shuang’s hand: “Ru Shuang, you seem a bit tense. You’re sweating.”
Ru Shuang looks away from Zhao Wuji’s intense gaze and sidesteps with a smile: “I’m just nervous for the first time. Uncle Zhao, let’s finish this quickly before it gets cold.”
She tries to push away Zhao Wuji’s hand but uses chopsticks to set the food on the plate.
Zhao Wuji doesn’t touch the food. Instead, she takes a sip of her wine and finishes it immediately after seeing Ru Shuang look at her.
Hearing Zhao Wuji drink the poisoned wine, Ru Shuang relaxes completely, her heart beating calmly now.
“Uncle Zhao, I will dance to entertain you.”…The long sword is hanging on the soft bed. Just get close and grab the sword…
Just as she was about to stand up, she was held down by Zhao Wuji.
“The show is about to start. What’s the point of dancing…”
“The show? What show?”
Ru Shuang was stunned when her body suddenly froze. Zhao Wuji had firmly grasped her arm.
“Come out. You have been hiding for so long.” Zhao Wuji shook his wrist and the wine glass he was holding instantly shot out.
“Bang!”
The curtain was instantly torn into pieces. Three figures flew out from behind. They were Zhao Wuji used a wine glass to force out the three elders of Beggar Sect.
At the same time, a figure rushed out from behind the screen, holding a sword and stabbing Zhao Wuji.
“Let go of my sister!”
The sword was very fast and slashed towards Zhao Wuji’s wrist.
“slander!
Swish!
The sword hit nothing, Zhao Wuji released his grip on Ru Shuang, took two steps back, and smiled without saying a word.
Ru Shuang was rescued so easily, which made Little Tsui feel a little unreal. Was it so easy to rescue her sister from Zhao Wuji’s hands?
The rescued hostage Ru Shuangke didn’t have time to think. She turned around and jumped back, grabbing the long sword hanging beside the bed. Then she felt relieved and returned to the three elders.
After rescuing Ru Shuang, Little Tsui tiptoed to the other side of the three elders.
The scene became that the three elders, Ru Shuang and Little Tsui were confronting Zhao Wuji.
“Zhao Wuji, you killed our leader and dared to put the blame on our Beggar Sect. Today, I will kill you!”
Hey!
Elder Mo made a thumping sound as he danced with a wrapped stick and struck his opponent. His movements were fluid like flowers, quick and powerful, unleashing a barrage of the Beggar Sect’s secret three-hundred-step killing technique.
“Let everyone join in,” said Heartbreak Poison, “killing this dog thief.”
The two elders shouted out together, “We’ll all attack at once!” and broke into a joint charge, their movements weaving like a dance around Zhao Wuji.
The room was too cramped; Ru Shuang and Little Tsui watched the combaters clash furiously. They both jumped up and down, their hands trembling in vain.
Surrounded by three attackers, Zhao Wuji still had enough strength to speak: “Don’t think you can just kill me! That’s nonsense!”
Thump-thump!
The clash of fists sent the two elders retreating asZhao Wuji landed a blow on each chest, causing their torsos to collapse and spattered blood to fly.
Elder Mo’s heart was set in stone; he unleashed his dancing stick with even more ferocity.
“What’s going on…? How come Heartbreak Poison worked so fast, and why isn’tZhao Wuji showing any signs of weakness?”
Zhao Wuji laughed maniacally as if he’d heard Elder Mo’s inner thoughts. His laughter echoed like a crazed entity: “Oh my goodness! You think Heartbreak Poison can do anything to me? Stupid thing! Just one simple poison could incapacitate your True Qi entirely! I’m a hundred percent immune!”
AsZhao Wuji laughed maniacally, the wooden wall behind him suddenly exploded.
The walls crumbled and scattered like splintered wood. In the debris, a shadow emerged as lightning-like figures stepped forth, delivering a devastating blow toZhao Wuji’s midsection with their fists.
“Kuzuki!” announced Heartbreak Poison in a voice that echoed with triumph.
Kuzuki had been waiting for the perfect moment, and now it came. He unleashed his full power as he broke through walls with a single, devastating blow.
“Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques·Conical Kill!”
Kuzuki’s killing technique was fully concentrated onZhao Wuji. He had no intention of relaxing.
“What the heck is going on…? Every movement felt like it was hitting cotton balls, and all my strength seemed to disappear into thin air.”
The force of his strike seemed to be absorbed entirely, leaving Zhao Wuji speechless.
“Too strange,” he muttered. “As if I heard a ghost’s voice.”
“The technique didn’t work.”
However, his reaction was instantaneous, quickly realizing his mistake, retracting his hand, forming claws with his other arm, sending a shadow dart at Zhao Wuji.
Five Forms Fist—five claws probing the top!
However, Zhao Wuji had already recovered from the shock of being attacked and was now focused on dealing with the situation.
His body tautened as his Qi surged outward, rebounding all the absorbed force while also releasing his immense strength.
Boom!
The Fierce Wind suddenly erupted from Zhao Wuji’s center.
Kuzuki’s reaction was instantaneous, no force could be directed back once he retracted his hand quickly enough; it all dissipated into the air.
Despite this, Zhao Wuji’s Qi-driven Fierce Wind still collided with Kuzuki, propelling him backward.
The force of the wind caused a gust that swept through the room, knocking Elder Mo off his feet and causing Ru Shuang and Little Tsui to be knocked out by the impact from the walls.
When the Fierce Wind finally died down, everything in the room had been destroyed beyond recognition, chaos everywhere.
Zhao Wuji was angry enough that if his Qi hadn’t automatically defended him at this moment, he would have been dead!
He didn’t bother with Elder Mo; he charged towards where Kuzuki had been knocked out.
“Get up!”
He swung his palm, and the air around it exploded like a bomb. The spot he aimed at suddenly detonated with force.
Boom! Kuzuki broke through from the wall on the other side, his arm like a whip striking Zhao Wuji.
However, it was in vain.
He sidestepped a horizontal strike and caught Zhao Wuji with an uppercut. Kuzuki’s other arm suddenly shot up, striking Zhao Wuji’s midsection.
Poisonous Snake’s 33rd Trick—Dark Engraving!
Touch and run away! Kuzuki unleashed a flurry of punches aimed at Zhao Wuji.
Zhao Wuji stammered and floundering, his confusion evident as he faced the bizarre Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques techniques. Kuzuki’s rage burned even brighter, Innate True Qi surging once more, sending both himself and the Elder Mo charging forward in a manner that deflected them backward.
He roared even louder, Innate True Qi exploding anew, propelling Zhao Wuji and the Elder Mo away as they dodged the devastating blows aimed at Kuzuki.
