Chapter 28 The battle has reached!
“Originally, there was a martial artist hiding here. I thought killing you would be easy, but besides the Eighteen Subduing Dragon Palms (Condor Trilogy), what other martial arts techniques do I hold in contempt?” Kuzuki quickly scanned his thoughts, realizing that even after changing stiffness and softness repeatedly to strike, it had no effect on Zhao Wuji. “Is there really no way to defeat him except the Eighteen Subduing Dragon Palms (Condor Trilogy)?”
After being hit by Zhao Wuji’s innate pure qi twice, Kuzuki suffered serious injuries.
[Kuzuki received injuries from external attacks and could continue fighting, but… how can I injure Zhao Wuji? Seeing Zhao Wuji revealing his weakness, Kuzuki quickly turned his thoughts. Even if he changes stiffness and softness repeatedly to strike in different ways, it still has no effect on him. Is there really no way except the Eighteen Subduing Dragon Palms (Condor Trilogy) to defeat Zhao Wuji?]
Let’s drink!
A sudden loud cry of anger comes from Elder Mo, who holds a biotic weapon in his hand and dashes forward.
He strikes with a stick change, smashes the floor with a powerful impact, drawing qi to himself,
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The floor beneath Zhao Wuji’s standing place explodes with shockwaves of qi, sending pieces of wood flying.
When the smoke clears, Zhao Wuji is still standing there without any injuries.
His one strike against Zhao Wuji caused no damage at all. Even Elder Mo, who has fought countless battles, begins to lose his composure and steps back.
“Even though we’ve given our all, you haven’t even put in your first move!” Zhao Wuji suddenly vanishes behind a shadow, appearing in front of Elder Mo.
However, before Elder Mo can finish drawing his biotic weapon, Zhao Wuji quickly moves to Elder Mo’s back and strikes him with a palm, sending him flying as his blood flows uncontrollably. He collapses forward but is still able to stand up after catching himself.
Hurry! It was too quick!
Elder Mo hasn’t even had time to react when Zhao Wuji defeats him!
Sigh!
A figure crosses paths with the falling Elder Mo while also passing by Zhao Wuji. He lands in front of Zhao Wuji.
Just now, when Elder Mo struck out, Kuzuki suddenly thought: If my fists and feet aren’t effective against Zhao Wuji, what about my swords or daggers? So he steps back to retrieve the Little Tsui sword from the ground. However, just in time for a breath, Elder Mo has already fallen.
“Move quickly! Be careful!” Elder Mo lies on the ground, blood continuously flowing out of his mouth.
Kuzuki doesn’t use swords but knows how to strike them effectively.
He acts like a hunting cat, focusing solely on Zhao Wuji. His entire attention is directed towards Zhao Wuji’s every move.
[Although his movements seem instantaneous, they aren’t truly instantaneous; they’re just too fast to predict. Just be ready to evade if you can anticipate his moves!]
To defeat Zhao Wuji, one cannot simply pay close attention to his martial arts skills because he also possesses dark arts—his magic.
Kuzuki pays close attention and ends up getting caught.
Zhao Wuji suddenly loses focus, his vision becoming blurry. From Zhao Wuji’s back, an unexpected figure appears, holding a short dagger and thrusting it forward.
Kuzuki feels a sudden jolt of panic, instinctively ducking to avoid harm. However, he only manages to retreat halfway before realizing there is no threat—only a hallucination.
Despite the deception, Zhao Wuji sees through it and remains unfazed. He quickly evades the dagger’s attack with a swift sidestep, his movements becoming precise as he counters the threat.
A sudden roar echoes from above—a shout of defiance! “Five Forms Fist·Golden Leopard Pounding Stone!”
Kuzuki springs forward, his body twisting and contorting. His spine shifts from vertical to horizontal as he strikes with his legs.
*Thud!*
A blow aimed at the air results in a loud explosion—Zhao Wuji returns to his original position unharmed.
Kuzuki steadies himself, blood trickling from his mouth. He wipes it off with the back of his hand and frowns slightly. Surprisingly, Zhao Wuji’s strikes aren’t as devastating as he anticipated—his force isn’t as immense as expected.
Zhao Wuji unleashes his remaining tricks in a more relaxed manner. His hair falls disheveledly over his shoulders, and beads of sweat appear on his forehead. “Good, let’s see how many hits you can land.”
Kuzuki suddenly takes a deep breath, his face turning red as he dashes forward with a powerful thrust.
He slashes wildly without any technique or strategy—simply raw power at its finest.
The blade’s light flickers as Zhao Wuji dodges, and Kuzuki follows. Zhao Wuji pauses for a moment, blocking the attack with his qi—a concentrated burst of true energy.
The force resonates again, this time three times. Kuzuki kicks hard at the ground, causing the floor to crumble beneath him. He leaps forward, slicing through the air like a blade.
*Splat!*
A deafening roar from below indicates that Zhao Wuji has been pierced three inches deep by the blade’s edge.
Kuzuki presses forward, but Zhao Wuji roars in pain and rebounds forcefully. He throws his weight behind a strike aimed at Kuzuki’s torso.
Unleashed with all his strength, the attack is met by a sudden release of Zhao Wuji’s qi, causing the blade to snap away from Kuzuki’s hand and collide with him.
*Crack!*
His ribs were broken, his lungs were badly injured, and pink blood was oozing from his mouth.
Zhao Wuji’s remaining strength propels him upward as the blade strikes him in the back. He plummets into a deep hole below.
Kuzuki catches Zhao Wuji with one hand, holding him up while another reaches out to stabilize him on the ground.
Ru Shuang struggles to get near Elder Mo and steadies his breathing as sharp pain emanates from below. The floor beneath them crumbles into pieces, and the air is filled with screams. A deafening crash echoes from the west, causing a nearby wall to collapse.
Ru Shuang’s vision blurs briefly before regaining focus. Kuzuki stands directly in front of her, his face twisted into a scowl as he holds a short dagger and looks down at her with malice. His eyes glow faintly due to the long sword held in his hand.
Another crash sends them both tumbling out of the window. Zhao Wuji struggles to land, his body covered in blood and several minor injuries from previous wounds.
Kuzuki’s strength is suddenly depleted as he feels Zhao Wuji’s strikes hit him square on. He staggers backward, colliding with a wall before collapsing to the ground.
Ru Shuang, daughter of the Beggar Sect’s leader, had decent martial arts skills. At the critical moment, she leaped backward off the iron-plate bridge with a thump-thump rhythm while parrying Zhao Wuji’s strike and retaliating with her sword.
She excelled in blade techniques but struggled to master the three essential keywords of any blade art: “fast,” “hard,” and “accurate.” She managed only one of these, which was “accuracy.”
She lacked both speed and force in her martial arts.
Zhao Wuji raised his hands in a wide arc, then pressed them together, binding Ru Shuang’s sword tightly with his powerful qi. Following this, he swung his legs across the room, sending her flying toward the wall.
As she approached the wall and was about to be struck again, the floorboards reverberated once more. A figure appeared at the precise moment Ru Shuang needed protection, intercepting her fall.
This individual was Su Can. He disregarded Ru Shuang’s injuries while noticing Zhao Wuji’s surveillance and quickly embraced her before leaping down.
Zhao Wuji made a snort of mockery, causing the floor to collapse again in pieces.
Upon impact, Zhao Wuji was startled. A group of officers with firearms entered the hall from the outer door, clearly aiming to take him out.
“For today, I’ll spare you one life!” Zhao Wuji’s presence faded into thin air, appearing several meters away before vanishing completely.
