Chapter 29 The Great rejuvenation Pill

“Everyone leave quickly! The building is collapsing!”

Ru Shuang slowly wakes up, hears the calls from below, suddenly remembers that Little Tsui and Elder Mo are still on the second floor. She tries to free herself from Su Can’s arms.

“Girl, you’re hurt too badly; don’t move at all.” Su Can carries her out to safety.

“No, Little Tsui and Mo Elder are still on the upper floors. I’m going to save them for sure.” Ru Shuang stands up but is restrained by Su Can’s shoulder. “Girl, relax; I’ve sent someone to rescue them already.”

Ru Shuang looks up and sees many Foot Soldier either lifting or holding others, rescuing people. She feels relieved when she collapses into unconsciousness.

Looking at the unconscious Ru Shuang, Su Can’s expression darkens; she kisses his lips.

Suddenly, someone walks in. “Young Master, what are you doing?”

Su Can bites her lip and says: “I just noticed she was unconscious. I’m trying to give her artificial breathing to wake her up; don’t worry.”

The intruder lifts his sleeve: “This difficult mission should be handed over to me, Young Master. Let’s do it!”

Intruder stands confidently but is kicked away by Su Can: “A dead person’s head! Also, don’t look at your character; you’ll eat for three days because of this.”

“Oh? Did you kiss Ru Shuang? Why are you starving? Don’t make a mess!” The intruder lies on the ground and tries to say more but is knocked out by Su Can.

    Skip this part as instructed.

After many soldiers rescue those inside, the Yihong Courtyard (Red Chamber) finally crumbles under pressure with a loud crash.

In the dust and smoke, Brothel Madam appears defeated sitting in dirt, weeping and complaining.

[30]Su Can carefully places Ru Shuang before comforting her: “I’ve been watching the Yihong Courtyard (Red Chamber) situation for a long time now; this collapse is perfect timing to rebuild it. I’ll show you my plans.”

“Aunt Su, aren’t your words too harsh? I’m about to die!”

Su Can laughs loudly twice before calming down and saying: “It’s not harsh talk. Since we’re following my plan, naturally, I’ll cover the costs.”

This news makes Brothel Madam very happy; she immediately asks: “Really? Aunt Su, how much?”

    Su Can raises one finger.

Brothel Madam jumps up and grabs Su Can’s hand firmly.

“It all depends on you, Aunt Su. You’re doing an amazing job…!”

Su Can raises her eyebrows and approaches Brothel Madam, whispering: “What is it about the Ru Shuang girl from your yard? Who are these people with her?”

Brothel Madam: “Ru Shuang ah… she was new here for two days, just guest-staying at our Yihong Courtyard (Dream of the Red Chamber), so nothing too serious. I don’t know much about her, Su Can. Are you thinking of taking advantage of her?”

Su Can: “No, I’m just curious.”

Don’t let Brothel Madam near me; I’ll be moving around everywhere.

When his father, a Guangzhou general (Australian general), saw him, he grabbed him roughly. His hands were covered with blood as he struggled.

    “Father, what are you doing?”

“I want to check if you’re hurt; we have only one child like you in our family. If you can’t take care of yourself, that would be a problem.”

“Oh no! I’m getting annoyed with you. I need to do something else.” Su Can pushed her father away and continued walking.

“This little troublemaker! But he’s got a lot of courage…!” Su Can’s father praised him, causing the Strategist/Adviser beside him to roll his eyes in disbelief.

On the other side, after moving through all areas, Su Can frowned: “Where are Ru Shuang and Little Tsui? Did she get seriously injured?” Kuzuki also suffered injuries but couldn’t find his father either.

Before Kuzuki and Zhao Wuji fought on the ground below, Su Can was there to call for reinforcements. However, after the battle ended, Zhao Wuji, Kuzuki, and Mo Elder were nowhere to be found.

Kuzuki and Mo Elder weren’t chasing Zhao Wuji; instead, Zhao Wuji was pursuing them.

Actually, it’s Kuzuki chasing after Mo Elder.

Little Tsui held Mo Elder’s hand as he hurried away, looking worried about whether anyone would catch up from behind.

“Take this path.” As blood dripped from Mo Elder onto Little Tsui’s shoulder, the pressure increased significantly on her hand.

Struggling through a narrow alley, Little Tsui sighed in frustration. The end of the road was in sight.

She turned to face Mo Elder as she tried to find another way out.

    A figure blocked her path.

Little Tsui felt defeated. Seeing this person, who had once appeared in “The Red Chamber,” was no match for her skills but had to strike first because she cared about Mo Elder. Before she could act, she fainted due to a sudden headache caused by a wound.

The doctor knocked on Little Tsui’s door. Mo Elder stood in the doorway with a Dog Beating Staff, looking exhausted but determined.

After returning from Yihong Courtyard (Dream of the Red Chamber), Zhao Wuji’s bloodlust was uncontrollable, leading him to see Kuzuki bleeding profusely on the ground.

He acted decisively, ordering Little Tsui to hold on while he escaped. The reason for his urgency was that he had something vital in his possession.

“That day… you were seen at City God Temple (Taoist temple) outside our Beggar Sect’s meeting place,” Elder Mo recognized Kuzuki. “You overheard us discussing this, so it was bound to happen eventually.”

Kuzuki remained silent without speaking, his expression stoic as he tried to suppress his injuries while building strength.

“Let her go, I can fulfill your request.” The martial arts experience of the Elder Mo is extremely rich; one can easily discern Kuzuki’s intentions from a glance.

Kuzuki’s condition was severe, his combat effectiveness having dropped by more than 70%.

However, it was sufficient for the Elder Mo to argue that his injuries were no less severe.

“Give me the Great Rejuvenation Pill, and I will kill Zhao Wuji.” Kuzuki stepped forward cautiously.

The Elder Mo backed away: “The Great Rejuvenation Pill can be given to you, but only after killing me.”

Kuzuki frowned, looking at Little Tsui beside him: “What about her?”

“If you kill her, I will ensure that you gain nothing from this.”

    “Understood.”

    Kuzuki launched an attack.

    ·········

    Coughing…

Kuzuki moved cautiously, his hand resting against the wall as drops of blood fell from his wound onto the floor, creating long streaks.

His strength was already severely diminished; the Elder Mo’s last strike worsened his condition further.

Holding a box in his hand, Kuzuki contained the Great Rejuvenation Pill, which could enhance his combat skills or heal injuries.

The Great Rejuvenation Pill could indeed heal his wounds, but Kuzuki needed its other function—increasing his power.

[The second condition is now the priority…] Despite his injuries threatening to bring him down, Kuzuki maintained an upright posture, moving slowly and firmly.

    Not long after that…

A cry broke out from a narrow alley: “Mourning Brother! How are you? Wake up!”

The Elder Mo had passed away.

Even if Kuzuki did not intervene, the Elder Mo would die soon enough; after all, Zhao Wuji had already shattered his internal organs due to his immense power, allowing him to slow his own demise.

Kuzuki could wait until the Elder Mo’s death before claiming the Great Rejuvenation Pill.

However, for some reason, Kuzuki chose to act immediately.

ps: Perhaps it is out of respect for the warrior, to let him die in battle rather than dying in a hospital bed from the onset of his injuries.

It’s probably a respect for warriors, allowing them to die in battle rather than from injuries sustained during an illness, which would result in their death on a hospital bed.
