Chapter 39 Kuzuki-sensei (ally plus one third)
Araya Souren.
What is the purpose behind Araya Souren approaching Asagami Fujino?
Although it was just a fleeting encounter, Kuzuki can sense that Araya Souren’s intentions are anything but simple. His expression alone hints at deep resentment.
Kuzuki is thinking about other things and hasn’t said a word.
After hesitating, Asagami Fujino asked, “Kuzuki-sensei, what are you doing?”
“Previously used as a tool, now following my own will.” He briefly explained his situation.
“In other words, I’m now free… Kuzuki-sensei, let’s join us at our school to teach!” Asagami Fujino suddenly said.
Kuzuki put on his glasses and replied, “Why did this idea come to you? Let someone without teaching experience become a teacher.”
Asagami Fujino saw Kuzuki with a slight smile on her face.
“Just thinking that Kuzuki-sensei is an ideal candidate for a teacher, his demeanor and tone of speech, as well as his principles… If he becomes a teacher, he’ll be outstanding.”
If everything remains unchanged, Kuzuki would indeed become a teacher. However, unlike Reien Girls’ Academy, it’s not at Winterwood City’s private school, and there’s more to his role than just teaching.
When offered the position by Asagami Fujino, Kuzuki considered for a few seconds before agreeing.
Currently, he owns a significant amount of wealth from “The Group” organization’s dissolution but will eventually deplete it.
Kuzuki doesn’t plan to use his martial arts skills for financial gain, whether legal or illegal. Given his current abilities, if involved in any related field, he could amass vast fortunes easily. However, he won’t do so.
This martial expertise is purely a hobby based on personal interest and not meant to earn a living.
There are many ways to survive for those who just need to live.
After agreeing with Asagami Fujino, she seemed satisfied, stretching her waist from the Sofa. “Kuzuki-sensei, can I stay here tonight?”
It’s currently night time.
If Asagami Fujino goes back alone, it would be dangerous. Although Kuzuki could protect her, from an efficiency standpoint, this approach is not ideal.
The bedroom is given to Asagami Fujino; Kuzuki then goes outside the yard for activity.
Each day’s routine is a consistent practice, untouched by formality.
He begins with the Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques, followed by Five Forms Fist, and concludes with Seven Wounds Fist.
Military Killing Fist and Hundred Steps Divine Fist are external power techniques; thus, they cannot be practiced in open spaces. Only within the designated [Training] area can these exercises be conducted.
Additionally, he practices Heaven’s Frost Fist (from Feng Yun) and Scorching Sun Fist—these are moves.
At this point, Kuzuki’s movements have changed significantly from his initial state.
His actions are smooth yet not forceful; his moves are gentle but not aggressive.
Previously, practicing the Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques was straightforward. He would strike like whip rain, causing strong winds that could disrupt someone’s hair. His Five Forms Fist was even more dramatic, with movements accompanied by spectral effects or animal sounds resembling tiger roars or forest inflammations.
Now, Kuzuki’s movements are calm and coordinated, reminiscent of an elderly person practicing Tai Chi in a park. Although he is not actually practicing Tai Chi, his actions appear similar.
It seems ineffective at first glance; however, upon closer inspection…
reveals that Kuzuki’s entire body consists of 639 muscle groups, with over 99% undergoing motion, contraction, elongation, and extension. These movements resemble a flowing stream or solid rock.
The Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques and Five Forms Fist have been refined to a point where their effects are negligible. Seven Wounds Fist focuses on strength; thus, it primarily exercises the body’s internal energy (yin and yang) and its connection with the five elements.
He is now concentrating on his Breathing Technique training.
Previously, he learned the Breathing Technique from a copy of Kuzuki Souichirou. Although highly effective for him, it was not considered advanced at the time and only developed through long-term practice.
The improvement in his spirit’s realm was minimal, indicating that the Breathing Technique is not particularly advanced.
Now, Kuzuki is practicing the Breathing Technique from Seven Wounds Fist. In Chinese philosophy, this refers to internal energy flow.
Military Killing Fist does not have its own Breathing Technique. Hundred Steps Divine Fist is a special application of internal power and lacks corresponding Breathing Techniques.
However, Heaven’s Frost Fist (from Feng Yun) and Scorching Sun Fist do have distinct Breathing Techniques. Mastery of these techniques requires the completion of their respective martial arts.
Regrettably, Kuzuki first trained in Seven Wounds Fist before learning the unique Breathing Techniques of Heaven’s Frost Fist (from Feng Yun) and Scorching Sun Fist, making it extremely challenging to progress further.
Breathing Technique concerns the root energy system; thus, it cannot be easily changed or replaced.
Transferring from a basic Breathing Technique to Seven Wounds Fist’s advanced version is not overly difficult. However, advancing further requires significant effort and understanding of other techniques’ underlying principles.

Bedroom.
Asagami Fujino lies face down on Kuzuki’s bed, disheveled in clothes and without a blanket, the bright springtime exposed.
Outside, the courtyard echoes with the rhythmic flow of water and the gentle breeze outside the window.
These sounds aren’t loud; they just travel farther in quiet.
The bedroom’s setup is unusually simple.
There’s a bed, a headboard desk with some books, a chair, and a closet for clothes; nothing else is present.
It fits Kuzuki’s style perfectly…
Asagami Fujino flipped onto her back, buried her head in the pillow, and took a deep breath.
Sleeping isn’t easy…
Her mood is quite strange; her thoughts tend toward uncontrollable directions.
For her future plans, there’s an unusual sense of anticipation. She lacks a tangible existence and can’t grasp others’ feelings; for her, this emotion doesn’t exist.
After much rolling, Asagami Fujino finally drifted off with a small smile, and her sleep was unusually peaceful.
ps: Asagami Fujino’s character. She is a calm, gentle woman who appears to be the good wife and loving mother type of reserved female. She doesn’t excel in dealing with men’s violent behavior but finds their childlike nature charming. Thus, she seems to hold a love-struck vision towards completely rational individuals.
