Chapter 45 Residual Pain
Long time since we last saw each other, and Kuzuki’s attributes have changed again.
Inheritance: Kuzuki
Tech: 15
Spirit: 18
Mind: 6
Body: 12
Assassination Technique: Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques, Five Forms Fist, Seven Wounds Fist, Hundred Steps Divine Fist, Military Killing Fist.
Assassination Points: 70 points.
There is a martial art that suits women particularly well.
Wing Chun: Originating from Movies[Wing Chun], it is an upper-class fist technique from the Nanshi Shaolin Monastery, combining internal martial arts and close-range combat. It emphasizes harmonious strength, offensive and defensive capabilities, and possesses short-range explosive power. (Price: 85 points)
This fist technique was originally created by women, making it highly suitable for women to practice.
Kuzuki only has 70 Assessment Points.
He originally had 20 points, and with Dead Apostle, three henchmen, and HayamaHideo, who killed five people, his Assessment Points increased to 70 points.
He still needs an additional 15 points.
[Dark Flower (Secret Mission)] hasn’t yet loaded. At this point, if Kuzuki wants to earn Assessment Points through killing people, the only way is to undergo a trial.
The trial can be selected from the third option in the Assessment Book: [Inheritance][Training][Ordeal][Dark Flower (Secret Mission)].
The trial has begun to appear.
[Trial of Five Forms Fist]
[Trial of Seven Wounds Fist]
[Trial of Hundred Steps Divine Fist]
[Trial of Military Killing Fist]
Completing the trial allows you to earn Assessment Points, but it’s more important than earning points: breaking through limits.
The person who embodies this technique at its peak will appear in the trial. If you defeat him, you will have surpassed the pinnacle of this technique and broken through its limit. At that point, earning Assessment Points becomes less significant.
Kuzuki has completed the [Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques Ordeal], meaning he is now unquestionably the strongest master of this skill, with no one able to surpass him in that aspect.
Out of four ordules, only [Five Forms Fist Ordeal] remains for Kuzuki to pass with certainty. He points at the book pages, and suddenly, space-time transformation occurs.
Ichiro, whose appearance is very similar to Jackie Chan’s, asks Kuzuki after he appears: “This time, are you sure?”
Kuzuki nods.
“Fight!” he shouts, his spine like a column of steel, and his limbs spring into action. A fierce wind of vengeance blows toward him as he attacks.
!
The air is filled with the sounds of dragon roars and tiger calls!
When learning Five Forms Fist initially, one often experiences omens while attacking. As skill improves, omen signs disappear until they reappear again at higher levels, though their nature differs.
The omen signs of this level carry great killing power!
Dragon roars and tiger calls fill the air with horror!
Ichiro’s strikes are filled with terrifying omens that can only be stopped by true strength.
Kuzuki remains steadfast, unaffected by any intimidation.
He suddenly springs forward like a wild animal, charging headfirst toward Ichiro.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Dragon Form! Tiger Form! Crane Form! Snake Form! Leopard Form!
The five elements cycle, transforming endlessly.
The air is filled with the sounds of great beasts growling. Both combatants strike in Dragon Form against Dragon Form and Tiger Form against Tiger Form.
In Dragon Form combat, they resemble real dragons leaping around; in Tiger Form, they are like wild tigers fighting fiercely.
Their forms change more rapidly, and their attacks become faster.
!
The sound of clenched fists meeting flesh.
Their joined form suddenly splits apart into two figures standing apart from each other.
Ichiro’s breathing becomes irregular, though his stamina remains steady. Kuzuki, despite not being winded, has a blow delivered to his chest by the impact of Ichiro’s strike.
“I am far more skilled in Five Forms Fist than you,” Kuzuki remarks with judgment.
But being skilled isn’t enough to win in battle; victory depends on other factors.
For example, Body strength.
Kuzuki’s “Body” attribute has reached a non-human level of 12 points, far exceeding the limits of ordinary humans.
Meanwhile, Ichiro’s “Body” attribute tops out at around 6 points, significantly weaker than Kuzuki.
In the Tsukihime universe (Tsukihime World), there exists an element of mystery known as “Aether,” which manifests as “Mana” within living beings. Practicing breathing techniques allows one to cultivate Mana, which can then enhance their Body.
Relying solely on skill is insufficient to defeat Ichiro; only those with a stronger Body can hope to win.
Although there’s some disrespect involved, this is the best course of action.
SHA!
A shadow briefly appears as Kuzuki leaps over several meters to reach Ichiro.
It’s like the Milky Way falling and the Mount Tai being crushed, with Kuzuki’s entire Body coalescing into a state of overwhelming force.
A powerful punch is thrown straight for Ichiro, encompassing his entire body.
Five Forms Fist: White Tiger Gazing at the Moon!
Ichiro lifts both arms to exert maximum force, attempting to block Kuzuki’s punch.
However, the strength gap is too great; Kuzuki’s punch cannot be blocked.
He can’t even hold on for a second; Kuzuki’s punch shatters his defense and sends Ichiro flying with a Black Tiger Heart lightning strike to his chest.
SHA!
His arms pass through his body.
His heart is literally pulled out of his chest.
Ichiro remains in the position where his arms are wrapped around Kuzuki’s torso, spitting blood and muttering: “I didn’t expect to be killed this way… you win.”
His Body vanishes.
The bloodstains and the heart in his hand also vanish, as if it were a memory.
It’s not about skill; it’s about…
If Ichiro had access to Mana or other mysterious elements in his world, he might be far more powerful than Kuzuki. However, relying solely on strength isn’t enough.
Even the most intricate techniques are worthless without sufficient power.
One force can subdue ten forces.
Departure from Trial Space.
The Assassination Book’s Assassination Points increased by 300, now totaling 370 points.
After exchanging Wing Chun, Fujino subtly absorbed the knowledge and exited the Assassination Book.
Upon opening her eyes, Kuzuki saw Asagami Fujino’s curious face close to herself.
Kuzuki suddenly closed her eyes, remaining inactive for an extended period, unsure of what she was doing. She then became curious, surrounding herself with observation when she appeared at the front.
“That… Kuzuki teacher?” Fujino remained calm and returned to her original position, asking tentatively.
“There’s a very suitable martial art for you; I’ll teach it to you.”
“Hmm…” Fujino was about to agree when she suddenly frowned and pressed her abdomen. “This feeling is… pain…?”
After stopping the medication for some time, Asagami Fujino noticed changes in her body.
“Why would just feeling it cause pain?”
Fujino’s eyebrows furrowed together, and she appeared pale without a trace of color.
“It hurts… Kuzuki teacher, my stomach hurts… Can I cry?” She lifted her head with tears welling in her eyes as they contained the essence of sobs.
“If it hurts, let’s cry out loud…”
Fujino broke into a tearful sob almost immediately.
