Chapter 5 Dragon, Snake, Tiger, Crane, Leopard
The number of martial arts techniques within a hundred killing points is very numerous.
Considering only the [movies] category alone, there are over one thousand martial arts techniques. Adding other classifications like [books], [games], [television shows], [comics], [movies], [ancient history], and [modern times], Kuzuki roughly estimated that there could be tens of thousands of martial arts techniques in total.
Scanning through one by one, it might take the entire night to read them all.
After thinking about it, “the price is related to its power,” so he decided to exclude all techniques priced below eighty points and narrowed it down to approximately thirty-five techniques remaining.
The Five Form Techniques include: Shaolin Arhat Fist, Taming the Tiger Fist, Five Forms Fist, Bajiquan, Wing Chun, Shaolin 33 Divine Fist Forms, Drunken Fist, Xingyi Quan, Great Sage Splitting Fist, Tai Chi, Wudang Fist, Taizu Long Fist, Tiger Crane Twin Form Fist, Mantis Fist, Vajra Fist, Sanhuang Paochui, Azure Dragon Fist, Ground Lying Fist, Mizongquan, Hung Gar Iron Wire Fist, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Karate, Jeet Kune Do.
The number wasn’t too overwhelming. Kuzuki examined them one by one and finally selected four martial arts that suited him best. The others either didn’t align with his preferences or didn’t match his style.
Five Forms Fist, Xingyi Quan, Mizongquan, Bajiquan.
Among them, Five Forms Fist was the one he favored most because it included Snake Fist, and Snake Fist happened to be his specialty. The half-step Bengquan of Xingyi Quan was powerful and forceful—something Kuzuki greatly appreciated. Mizongquan emphasized stealth and unpredictability, making it fitting for an assassin like him.
As for Bajiquan… Kuzuki hesitated for a moment. Something about it didn’t feel right.
“Is it just a coincidence? I feel like choosing this technique might align with someone’s attributes…” Kuzuki scratched his head and couldn’t figure out why. “Alright, let’s exclude this one for now.”
After much deliberation, he finally decided on the Five Form Techniques.
A wave of information flooded into his mind, filled with countless words, images, sounds, and intangibles that were beyond mere comprehension. Within moments, he felt as though he had completely mastered all the techniques within the Five Form Techniques.
“This can be achieved… What’s this book about? Why does it appear on my body?” Despite lacking significant information, Kuzuki couldn’t help but wonder. His limited knowledge meant that his guesses often deviated from the actual truth.
The Five Form Techniques are a transmission; even if he knew all its techniques by heart, he still needed to practice them personally to truly master them.
Turning back to page two.
Kuzuki chose the “Training” option.
A sense of calm enveloped him as his body reacted to an invisible force, causing it to momentarily dim before returning to normal. Despite the initial appearance of folding and redness with perspiration, these changes were subtle.
Exhausted from the mental battle earlier, Kuzuki sat up, his expression slightly agitated.
Scanning around, he noticed something was off.
Just like before, Kuzuki had been teleported to a strange location not only in terms of consciousness but also his physical form appeared there! Inside this space, he spent seven hours and forty-five minutes, yet the time flow here didn’t match the outside. It was night at both locations, meaning that the duration within this space felt different from the outside.
“Even though the time flows are different, my body will eventually vanish in this place… However, my surveillance isn’t very thorough; there are only a few sentinels around to monitor my presence. To ensure I don’t disappear too quickly or risk exposure, I need to figure out the exact time flow ratio between here and outside.” Kuzuki continued thinking. “Additionally, the gravity in this space is different from the outside, approximately one-tenth of Earth’s gravity… It could be a good place for training, but I’m unsure if I can freely adjust it.”
Since his physical body was present in that area, he avoided experimenting with its effects for safety.
Once he felt refreshed, he attempted to call forth his assassination book.
The assassination book didn’t manifest as he hoped.
“Can’t appear in reality, can it only appear in dreams? But before crossing over, I was clearly holding it in my hand and reading it… No, was it a dream or reality at that time?” Kuzuki was shocked to find that the more he recalled the situation at that time, the more vague it became. In fact, he couldn’t even tell whether he crossed over while asleep or awake. Other places remained normal, but only this place was modified. No matter how he thought about it, it was a problem. Kuzuki intuitively felt that this problem was very important to him.
Unfortunately, he currently has no way to retrieve the memory of that time, so he can only keep this problem in his heart and wait until he has the ability to solve it…
But before the crossover, I was holding it like this—wait, no, wasn’t that either a vision or a reality?
He felt more perplexed as he tried to recall the past.
Maybe there’s no way to fix it for now; he decided to leave this issue aside for a moment.
·········
Boring daily life.
No entertainment activities; only boring practices and forced learning.
Time had passed a month since his crossover. He integrated into society without any changes.
No signs of suspicion or deviation from his routine.
He followed his daily schedule, doing nothing extraordinary.
His appearance hadn’t changed visibly, but he felt different internally.
The biggest change was his physical appearance.
Previously, due to his martial arts training, he appeared pale and cold.
After five-form martial arts practice, his complexion darkened, and his demeanor became deeper.
His muscles defined, strength increased, agility improved, and energy enhanced.
From a weak figure to a healthier, more active version.
