    Chapter 69 Testing

The Teachers’ Dormitory of Reien Girls’ Academy.

Kuzuki slept on the bed, his body suddenly became hazy for an instant, and the clothes he was wearing changed to a new set.

After waking up from the bed and opening his eyes, Kuzuki’s first action was to take a bath.

In nearly three months in The Other World, he rarely saw water sources or took baths.

After killing a giant Old One and destroying the stone spheres at the bottom of the lake, he nursed his injuries while wandering through The Other World, searching for stray Old Ones.

The density of Old Ones in The Other World was naturally low to begin with. Plus, after killing many Old Ones in a cave, he encountered only two or three more during his journey, barely noticing their traces at all.

Since the [Dark Flower (Secret Mission)] mission was completed after the mountain cave battle, he only needed to wait for the time to end and return. However, since Old Ones feed on humans, any remaining Old Ones might reach Earth through The Otherworld Door, so he tried to kill as many as possible to reduce this chance.

During his hunting of Old Ones, Kuzuki finally realized the cost of being taken by strange creatures.

His Hundred Steps Divine Fist was taken away, along with all memories of its techniques and training methods. No matter how he tried, he couldn’t produce the Hundred Steps Divine Fist.

This fist technique wasn’t particularly strong. Kuzuki chose to exchange it initially just for an additional long-range attack method. As his strength grew over time, the Hundred Steps Divine Fist became increasingly unable to keep up with his pace and was rarely used when fighting stronger enemies. He only used it during cleanup missions or testing attacks.

The Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques and Five Forms Fist shared the same fate as the Hundred Steps Divine Fist. These fist techniques were too weak to be effective against slightly stronger enemies. Even during training, he rarely practiced them.

Whether in terms of technique changes, damage, destructive power, or precision in energy use, there were always better fist techniques to replace these two. As a result, their usage became increasingly rare.

Without the Hundred Steps Divine Fist, Kuzuki exchanged it for an even more powerful long-range attack fist technique……Hadouken.

Hadouken: From the “Street Fighter” series, one of the four secret techniques in the flow of wave Karate. It allows manipulation of internal energy to form a long-range attack with extreme destructive power. (Price: 12,000 Assassination Points)

In addition, he exchanged the remaining Assassination Points for another famous Assassin’s Fist……Hokuto Shinken (Fist of the North Star).

Hokuto Shinken (Fist of the North Star): From the “Hokuto Shinken” comic series, passed down from Han Yu for 1,800 years, and combined with the essence of Western Region [Dongdu Moon Fist] meridians, making it an unbeatable Assassin’s Fist. (Price: 11,000 Assassination Points)

    ··········

In the bath, Kuzuki stood quietly, letting the cold water flow down his lotus root head. His body was like steel wire twisted into shape, revealing a thousandfold forged steel muscles. From the surface, one could already feel how much explosive power was hidden within.

After opening the Eight Gates, he gained unimaginable strength, but also suffered severe injuries.

Kuzuki’s self-healing ability wasn’t weak, though it couldn’t compare to those with regeneration Ability. However, for ordinary humans, it was far beyond what was possible.

Less than a month later, his injuries were healed to seven out of ten, but after two more months, the lingering damage from opening the Eight Gates still hadn’t fully healed.

This wasn’t physical injury; it was related to his meridians. Even now, some weaker meridians were still damaged. Whenever “Soul” ran through the injured meridians, he would feel waves of pain.

Until his meridians were fully healed, the Eight Gates couldn’t be used unless he intended to break them completely.

After relaxing for half an hour, Kuzuki emerged fresh and clear from the bathroom.

Putting on fresh clothes, he headed toward the school grounds. It was Sunday, after all.

In a small gym with barely any equipment, Kuzuki scanned the room.

A moment later, he walked to an empty corner.

He came here for some testing.

Despite knowing his physical condition had surpassed that of most humans, he still didn’t have a clear idea of just how abnormal it was. So Kuzuki decided to use this opportunity to conduct systematic testing on himself.

He grabbed a standard barbell and added four 25kg plates on each side, making the total weight around 225kg.

Earlier, he had tested his strength once. The measurement wasn’t very accurate back then, but he could lift over 150kg with one arm.

Holding the barbell in the middle with one hand, he exerted a little force without even much muscle definition on his arm, easily lifting the 225kg barbell into the air.

    He still had more strength…

Adding two more 25kg plates to each side brought the total weight up to 325kg.

Kuzuki gripped the barbell tightly with his left hand, and his arm muscles exploded in definition, almost tearing through his sleeves.

He held the barbell steady for a minute before lowering it down.

“Left arm strength is around 350kg, right arm even higher, maybe about 400kg.”

These numbers are just his physical strength. Such data far exceeds human limits.

    If he used the “Spirit”…

He found the largest barbell and loaded it with plates on both ends, even adding hooks to hang more plates.

The total weight of the barbell now exceeded two tons!

Holding the barbell firmly in both hands, Kuzuki suddenly pulled it straight up.

Only to hear a ‘wiyah’ sound that would make your teeth grind, as the 4.5cm steel barbell snapped like soft spaghetti and bent into a bridge shape!

Despite the ends of the barbell bending down, it still managed to lift two tons off the ground for an instant.

Kuzuki exerted more force, pulling the barbell straight again.

It was too light; he hadn’t reached his limits yet!

“Spirit” in the body can lift at least ten tons of weight when running.

After the strength test, Kuzuki leaves the gym and goes to an open field.

    Next up is speed testing.

In a desolate wasteland with overgrown weeds on an abandoned asphalt road, a vague silhouette zips by like a missile, sending the surrounding weeds bending low in its wake.

A hundred meters would take no more than 5 seconds. With “Spirit” running, it can even be done in under 2 seconds!

This means that within ten meters, you could reach the destination in 0.5 seconds without using “Spirit.” Once “Spirit” is involved, it takes only 0.2 seconds to cross ten meters!

In the blink of an eye, you can leap ten meters, and with a snap of your fingers, you can spring twenty meters in one go!

Without any wind assistance, a standing long jump of 12.5 meters, an assistive jump of 38 meters, a vertical jump of 4.1 meters, and a reflex speed of 0.02 seconds are all impressive achievements.

However, once you harness the energy of “Spirit,” you can achieve a standing long jump of 45 meters, an assistive jump that spans 150 meters, and a vertical jump of 18 meters. As for reaction speed, it’s beyond measurable limits. When fully focused on height, everything slows down significantly, giving ample time to react.
