Chapter 7 Assassination Successful
Why is Kuzuki now stronger?
Instructor feels a sense of absurdity.
Under the intense attack from Gale-like attacks, not only can’t suppress Kuzuki but also does Instructor fall into disfavor!
With both parties using Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques, Instructor’s actions become more skilled, more vicious and abnormal. Therefore, Instructor gains the upper hand by overwhelming Kuzuki… which should have been the case originally.
However, now, Instructor feels they are heading towards increasingly dangerous territory!
“Oh no! Now is not the time to think!”
Just as Instructor becomes distracted at this very moment, perhaps for less than a tenth of a second, Kuzuki strikes with perfect precision.
Like snakes moving through damp gaps in the forest, Kuzuki’s right hand weaves through Instructor’s defenses while their palm, like a snake swallowing prey, aims directly at Instructor’s heart!
Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques: Destructive Bite!
If hit, the chest will be penetrated completely, and the heart will be extracted entirely—no chance for survival at all!
Unstoppable.
The brief weakness that can be exploited is precisely what allows the opponent to deliver a killing blow when their strength far exceeds theirs, rendering resistance unnecessary.
Instructor, who had no choice but to stand aside, was struck on the chest by Kuzuki with a single palm strike, resulting in an immediate crunch. The ribcage collapsed inward deeply, uncertain how many ribs were broken.
Under immense force, Instructor’s heavy 75kg body was propelled nearly ten meters and crashed through the Wooden Hut before collapsing to the ground.
“Cough… Cough…”
Instructor coughed up several bloodstains, then saw Kuzuki emerge from within the house.
In the final moment, Kuzuki chose not to strike. Therefore, it was able to send Instructor flying rather than killing them outright.
“Why didn’t you kill me? Leaving mercy is strictly prohibited in enemy situations, and I have never taught you to spare an enemy.” Despite being heavily injured and continuously bleeding, Instructor’s tone remained calm.
Hearing this, Kuzuki tore the remnants of the wooden door with their hand before continuing: “You are not our enemy; there is no need to kill you.”
This skill I have imparted to you is indeed one of the gifts. Regardless of its intended purpose, it has a direct connection with Kuzuki and me. After all, I am merely an advanced tool. Killing him will only draw suspicion from The Group and lead them to investigate this incident.
Not killing allows for some maneuvering.
“Chief Ishikawa assigned you?” Kuzuki tore down the wooden door and approached Instructor, crouching beside them and helping to straighten out the broken ribs.
Not a robot, of course, Instructor would feel pain, but they are drenched in sweat and won’t dare to make a sound.
“Your changes are significant, and your strength is beyond my imagination.” Kuzuki did not respond but knew why the instructor remained silent. After all, he already knew the reason.
[It’s truly Chief Ishikawa… now his strength has been revealed, should we eliminate him to silence him? But eliminating him wouldn’t be effective, as he was sent by The Group to investigate you but later died. How I wish there were more people like Board Members who would take action against him!]
Kuzuki quickly thought of a plan and realized that killing the instructor wouldn’t improve the current situation.
This also made the instructor’s stiff body relax slightly. For someone skilled in Assasination Techniques, releasing his anger by letting it escape into the air until it vanished was enough for him to calm down.
He wasn’t just a tool trained from a young age; he had been brainwashed with twisted views and fears about death.
After Kuzuki straightened his ribs, he prepared to return to his room for sleep since it was night.
The instructor stumbled from the ground, bitten by anger towards Kuzuki’s back and said, “These are the evaluation results for 027. Battle ability is qualified, Assasination ability is excellent, meets standards, and I recommend using him.”
027 refers to Kuzuki. The instructor’s words mean that Kuzuki has been trained and deemed fit for use as an Assasination tool.
I predict that The Group will soon assign him to perform Assasination tasks.
Kuzuki paused briefly before returning to his room. He was no longer like the usual quiet person.
Lying on a wooden bed, Kuzuki didn’t behave as he usually did after getting into bed.
19 years.
How many of those trained by The Group are still alive?
Kuzuki’s number is 27, and there are only a few with numbers higher than his. However, in recent years, the only familiar faces have been six or seven.
Kuzuki remembers that when he found out he was just a tool used by someone unknown to produce results, several people became “mad” and were eliminated. He knows their fate even though he didn’t see it firsthand.
Those who become “mad” are given human brains from transplanted animals, while those who perform poorly are executed.
Reflecting on this is to accumulate his killing intent.
As mentioned before, two memories merged result in a new personality. The current Kuzuki is the mainstay, while his original personality drives him.
Originally, Kuzuki was a boring, indifferent person with no hobbies or dislikes, only living to survive.
Regardless of what he does, he rarely feels motivated.
The only meaningful thing for him is to continuously improve his skills in Assasination.
He avoids doing anything that makes him feel like wasting time or not achieving something.
·········
The space of the Assassination Book.
Entering the space to practice meditation has become a new habit, even after experiencing a intense battle.
Actually, it’s not that intense.
Just now, Kuzuki even used only half his strength and easily defeated the Instructor.
This is related to the characteristics of Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques, being particularly strong in the first battle and weaker in the second.
After Kuzuki filled his shortcomings, he then turned against the Instructor who had major flaws in his movements, making it easy for him to defeat.
Returning to the Assassination Book.
The attribute description has changed to:
Inheritor: Kuzuki
Tech: 8
Spirit: 1
Mind: 4
Body: 8
Assassination Technique: [Poisonous Snake 99 Techniques][Five Forms Fist]
Assassination Points: 0
Compared to the first time, only “Spirit” remained unchanged. Both “Tech” and “Body” increased by three points, while “Mind” increased by one point.
He quickly scrolled to the second page as Kuzuki was about to open the [Training] option when he saw that the fourth option, [Dark Flower (Secret Mission)], began to glow.
Kuzuki had previously tried to click on it but didn’t respond… The third option was also unresponsive.
This glowing is something he hadn’t anticipated.
He clicked once.
Swish…
The page flipped back, revealing several lines of text.
