    Chapter 76 Investigation

    September.

The dining hall of Reien Girls’ Academy is styled like a high-class European restaurant, with classical decor and modern furnishings.

With the end of summer vacation, students began to appear more frequently in the school.

As previously mentioned, Reien Girls’ Academy is fully boarding, so even during winter or spring breaks, many students choose to stay. This year, from July to August, Asagami Fujino and others did not return home.

The second floor has a U-shaped structure with an empty center, allowing one to see the first floor.

Kuzuki sat quietly at a second-floor seat, eating with a serious and solemn expression, casting a imposing shadow.

Due to practicing Hokuto Shinken (Fist of the North Star), his physical potential has been fully developed, causing his body to grow by about two centimeters. His height increased from 180 cm to 185 cm.

The muscle lines on his body are more pronounced, and his broad shoulders make his clothes slightly bulky, giving the impression of a robust and muscular figure.

This change only goes so far.

Understanding the Dragon-Tiger Dual Force and the balance between hardness and softness, he can effectively control his body to prevent it from growing too large.

The three meals disappear quickly into Kuzuki’s mouth, as his strong digestive system rapidly converts food into energy.

Actually, if Kuzuki were to eat more, he could easily consume ten portions. Even Ancient has a saying that a martial arts master can eat an ox in a day. Kuzuki can now do the same. However, eating too much is likely to attract unnecessary attention, and the efficiency of food as energy is not very high. It’s better to use Breathing and Walking Technique for a few more turns.

A short-haired girl with a worried expression passed by from behind him and sat at the table in front.

The second-floor rail tables are all two-person sets, facing each other. That Short-haired Girl ended up sitting right across from Kuzuki, separated by one table.

She ate listlessly, with a troubled expression on her face.

This girl is familiar to Kuzuki.

About two months ago, Kuzuki encountered her in the city center while she was being coerced by someone. He rescued her and saved her from that situation.

Her name is……Tachibana Kaori. Yes, that’s it.

The name of the bastard who did this to her is irrelevant to Kuzuki. After being hit by Seven Wounds Fist’s Heart Destruction Technique, he died due to heart muscle infarction, which would be considered a non-human cause. Therefore, Tachibana Kaori should not worry about this.

So there’s no need to get involved.

After glancing at her, Kuzuki made his judgment and stopped paying attention, focusing instead on the food in front of him.

After quickly eating the food, Kuzuki looked up and said, “Tachibana Kaori, is there something wrong?”

Tachibana Kaori stood before him, gazing at Kuzuki with a relieved expression, her emotions slightly stirred, saying, “Teacher Kuzuki, it’s great to see you, I… I want to consult with you about something, may I?”

“Clarifying doubts for students is a fundamental requirement for a teacher.” Kuzuki nodded.

Tachibana Kaori sat nervously across from him, beginning to recount the events.

“Before summer break, Teacher Kuzuki saved me, and for that, I’m extremely grateful.” Tachibana Kaori bowed deeply, her head touching the desk.

“You don’t need to express gratitude; it was just a small favor.”

    “Okay.”

Tachibana Kaori raised her head, swallowing hard before continuing, “When I returned home during the summer break, the School Board Member suddenly sent someone to question me about Hayama-sensei. Of course, I didn’t say anything, but I don’t know why, but the Board Member has been investigating me, suspecting me of being involved in Hayama-sensei’s death, even sending people to follow me.”

As she spoke, her expression grew increasingly frantic, saying, “I really don’t know what to do, my parents highly respect the Board Member, and my best friend is related to the Board Member, so I couldn’t seek her help, leaving only Teacher Kuzuki…”

Tachibana Kaori’s face turned pale, as if she had seen something terrifying, and she trailed off.

A tall, pink-haired girl, the Student Council President, Ōmuro Misaki, rushed over, greeting Kuzuki before chiding Tachibana Kaori, “Oi, what are you doing here? I’ve been looking all over for you, come on, I need your help with something.”

Tachibana Kaori reluctantly left with her, and Kuzuki didn’t stop them.

After the two departed, Kuzuki stood up to leave.

The Ōmuro surname represented a significant influence, similar to the Asagami family, and in Mifune City, they were a powerful and respected family. Reien Girls’ Academy was an Ōmuro family enterprise.

The School Board Member, on the other hand, was the husband of the Ōmuro family, Ōmuro Misaki’s sister-in-law.

These facts weren’t particularly hidden; anyone who inquired carefully could learn about them.

    Office.

Kurihara Rei, the officer who had initially hired Kuzuki, gazed at him suspiciously, saying, “What’s the point of asking about these things? Those matters are far removed from us, and we can’t usually access them.”

“I’m just a little curious, you know that too, Teacher Hayama didn’t have a good reputation at the school, so why was he allowed to become a teacher?”

Kurihara Rei seemed embarrassed, recalling that she, as the interviewer, had been contacted by the Board Member, which led to Hayama becoming a teacher. However, since Hayama’s reputation was terrible, mentioning it made her uncomfortable.

“Well, Hayama-sensei has already left his position, so there’s no need to delve deeper. Let’s just satisfy our curiosity here, Teacher Kuzuki.”

After chatting for a while longer, Kuzuki stood up to leave.

He left the Office and headed directly to the School Board Member’s office building.

Old-fashioned elegant European-style building, with an artificial fountain in front of it.

Passing by the fountain, a man emerged from the building and brushed shoulders with Kuzuki.

Kurogiri Satsuki and Kuzuki share similar qualities.

Without greeting each other, they nodded slightly. Kuzuki stepped over Kurogiri Satsuki’s silhouette and entered the office of the Board Member.

As an Academy Board Member’s office, it was elaborately decorated with sheepskin carpets and expensive furniture, with various valuable paintings hanging on the walls.

The Board Member looked to be in his early thirties. Unlike his younger brother Hayama Hideo, he was dressed in a suit and appeared polished and professional.

Upon seeing Kuzuki enter, he paused for a moment before recognizing him.

“Teacher Kuzuki, is that how you refer to yourself? Do you have something to ask me?”

“Yes, I want to ask you something. I hope you’ll cooperate.” Kuzuki said emotionlessly.

Despite his rude tone, the Board Member, noticing Kuzuki’s imposing figure, didn’t get angry immediately. He spoke quietly: “Go ahead and ask. As long as it’s not a secret, feel free to tell me.”

“Your brother Hayama Hideo is dead. Why did you suspect Tachibana Kaori?”

Kojima Hideo suddenly turned pale and stood up sharply, his eyes filled with a fierce, wolf-like intensity.

“You dare investigate me? You have no guts. Guard!” he barked seven or eight times, though no one responded outside.

In the silent air, cold sweat dripped down Kojima Hideo’s face as he looked at Kuzuki’s towering, muscular frame. He forced a nervous laugh and said: “Is there some misunderstanding? Teacher Kuzuki, I didn’t investigate anyone. My brother’s death was just an accident.”

    “Oh, really?”

Kuzuki took a step forward, pointing a finger at him in his terrified eyes.
