    Chapter 85 Star Elite

The base of Xingxiu Sect is set up like a military camp, with cooking smoke drifting lazily above and the sound of people bustling about.

Tents are pitched along the mountain slopes, estimated to hold around three to four thousand people.

At the end of the tents on the mountain slope, there’s a spacious cave. After cleaning it up, it will be used as the palace for Old Immortal of the Xingxiu (Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils).

A black-clothed woman wearing a Crimson Cloak walks past the guards and enters the cave.

She is one of the five disciples of Old Immortal of the Xingxiu (Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils), including A’zi, along with A Qing, Li Qiang, and Gu Dao. Their martial arts skills are all top-notch in The Martial Arts World, contributing greatly to the Xingxiu Sect. Their status is second only to Old Immortal of the Xingxiu (Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils), so the guards dare not interfere.

Inside the cave, a vast space opens up, with minimal decorations. Only two braziers on stands emit crackling sounds.

Flags hang on the walls, most praising Old Immortal of the Xingxiu (Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils) or the Xingxiu Sect.

In the center of the cave is a stone bed platform with wooden railings around it, covered in soft fur and silk fabric with curtains on all four sides. It looks like Old Immortal of the Xingxiu (Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils)’s living quarters, though he isn’t present.

A’zi notices no one around her and starts pacing back and forth. She walks to the stone bed, tosses her cloak aside, and sits cross-legged on the bed.

This stone bed is the highest point in the cave. Sitting here allows you to see the entire layout of the cave.

In the past, Old Immortal of the Xingxiu (Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils) used to sit here issuing orders, with thousands of disciples of the Xingxiu Sect bowing in submission. His presence was awe-inspiring. A’zi usually only stood by watching, filled with envy in her heart.

“Hmph! I am a powerful figure, the leader of The Martial Arts World, Little Immortal of Xingxiu. Seeing this little saint, you still haven’t given me your respects!” She holds an umbrella and points toward the front.

In front of her, besides a pile of burning fires, there’s no one else.

Little Immortal of Xingxiu laughs contentedly while rolling on the bed, saying: “That’s so satisfying! It feels great to be the boss again. I’d do it all over!”

She pretends to sit up and points at the empty space beside her: “Old Freak of Xingxiu, see this little saint here? If you don’t bow down and beg for mercy, I won’t spare your life!”

    “Hahahaha!”

She plays around a bit before lying back on the bed, looking satisfied. After a moment’s silence, she suddenly remembers something and pulls out an object from her chest.

    It’s a thin book.

She opens the book and reads it, smiling: “With this secret book, my strength will improve quickly. By then, those four won’t be able to beat me. I’ll become the second Martial Arts Expert of the Xingxiu Sect! Hahahaha!”

The cover of the book is printed with four traditional Chinese characters: “七星劍譜” (Qīxīng Jiǎn Pū, or “Seven Star Sword Manual”).

As she happily flips through the secret book, a sudden sound of footsteps echoes outside, startling her. She quickly hides the book and crawls behind the bed… Someone will see this!

A bald, round-faced guy walks in. He’s not bad-looking, but his demeanor makes me think of someone who’s fawning over others, two-tailed foxes, or sycophants.

A’zi saw him and frowned deeply in his heart, muttering to himself: “It’s Brother Xu Zhu. What is he doing here?”

Then, Brother Xu Zhu walked up to the bonfire made of stone piles, looked around for a moment, and suddenly raised his hand to blow out the fire.

He pulled out a piece of black cloth from his pocket and laid it on the ground. Then he rummaged through the extinguished fire and retrieved a small three-legged cauldron made of wood. It was about six inches tall, deep yellow in color. The cauldron was polished very finely, with a smooth wooden texture that resembled jade, and faint red threads could be seen running through the grain.

A’zi’s eyes narrowed as she suddenly realized… This guy wants to steal the Divine Wood King Cauldron!

She moved from behind the stone bed and approached Brother Xu Zhu from behind, coughing heavily.

    “Cough, cough!”

Brother Xu Zhu’s body stiffened as he turned around to see A’zi. He rolled his eyes and unfolded the black cloth, placing the Divine Wood King Cauldron back in its original position.

Then he folded up the black cloth and slapped it a couple of times before turning around and walking away, acting as if nothing had happened.

“Hey! You’re really something else, are you blind?…” A’zi called out to him, smugly saying: “Thank goodness I saw it. If my master had seen it, you’d be in trouble!”

Brother Xu Zhu looked embarrassed and walked back over to A’zi, shouting: “Sister!” which scared her.

He then softened his tone again, speaking slowly: “Actually, I did this for our future.”

    “Hm?”

“It’s not a good thing to be hidden behind someone else. Once we master the Energy-Draining Technique and after a few days of waiting until Ding Chunqiu attacks Shaolin, I can sneak in and steal The Classic of Changing Tendons. Then, with our two great techniques combined, we’ll dominate the world!”

A’zi pulled Brother Xu Zhu’s clothes excitedly: “Brother Xu Zhu, this time it’s all up to you! You can’t let me down, do you understand?”

    “Yeah.”

Seeing that he had convinced A’zi, Brother Xu Zhu quickly went to take the Divine Wood King Cauldron, but A’zi grabbed his hand.

“Brother Xu Zhu, you won’t just leave me after taking the Divine Wood King Cauldron, will you?”

“No… We agreed we’d combine our powers to dominate the world.” Brother Xu Zhu wiped sweat from his brow and handed the cauldron to A’zi: “If Sister A’zi doesn’t trust me, I’ll just leave this Divine Wood King Cauldron with you.”

“Oh, I do trust you.” Even though she said that, the demonic spirit A’zi still took the Divine Wood King Cauldron into her hands. She played with it a few times and said: “Brother Xu Zhu, let’s go! My master might come back soon.”

Brother Xu Zhu nodded and walked out of the mountain cave with A’zi, their shoulders touching.

A moment later, a shadow emerged from behind a stone wall.

    It was Kuzuki.

He was following the Xingxiu Sect for several days until many people returned to their base, giving him a chance to sneak in.

Surprisingly, the Old Immortal of the Xingxiu (Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils) wasn’t seen. However, Kuzuki noticed two others.

“Where is Ding Chunqiu? He must be somewhere,” Kuzuki wondered after spinning around twice. The Divine Wood King Cauldron, the only treasure he had, was taken by A’zi. There’s no need to stay longer.” Let me find out what happened in the Martial Arts World.”

Originally, he planned to secretly watch Ding Chunqiu and strike when he showed a weakness, testing Ding Chunqiu’s strength while also verifying another idea…… What if Dark Flower (Secret Mission) fails?

AssassinationRequires is about killing “Ding Chunqiu after cultivating Immortality.” If he kills Ding Chunqiu directly, what would happen?

“Wait, this time’s Mission has no time limit. That’s strange. Previously, Missions had a time limit before returning. So does that mean once you arrive in this world, you won’t return anymore? No, the Dark Flower (Secret Mission) mechanism must have changed due to updates in the Assassination Book. This time……”

After escaping from the Xingxiu Sect, Kuzuki traveled while considering this issue. He had a vague idea forming in his mind but wasn’t fully developed yet.
