Chapter 87 Martial Arts Alliance Leader

Ding Chunqiu stirred up chaos in the Martial Arts World, annihilating one sect after another, relying on Martial Arts to slaughter countless people.

However, the people in the Martial Arts World weren’t fools. They knew that if this continued, Ding Chunqiu would eventually pick them off one by one. So, when Ding Chunqiu was about to challenge the last major sect in the Martial Arts World, the Shaolin Temple, many who had grudges against the Xingxiu Sect gathered together and rushed to Mount Song, attempting to unite and deal with Ding Chunqiu.

On his journey, Kuzuki frequently encountered small groups of people heading towards Mount Song, gathering together in groups.

    “Go!”

A group of people, weary from their journey, rode past Kuzuki at full speed. They were armed with swords and knives, all wearing conical hats and black martial arts attire, looking hurried as they made their way to Shaolin Temple on Mount Song.

In just half a day of travel, Kuzuki had already passed by three groups of people.

He too was riding a horse, though he didn’t urge it to run quickly and maintained a pace similar to a normal person’s light jog.

His Quanzhen Sect robes had been changed to ordinary martial arts clothes worn by people in the Martial Arts World… The Quanzhen Sect had already been wiped out by the Xingxiu Sect, so wearing Quanzhen Sect robes would attract unwanted attention.

Watching group after group of people pass by, Kuzuki felt a bit puzzled.

He vaguely remembered the plot of the movies. Neither the Quanzhen Sect nor the Shaolin Temple were able to stop Ding Chunqiu, and in the end, it was just internal strife within the Heavenly Mountain Sect.

Because the Heavenly Mountain Sect was on an entirely different level compared to the other sects in the Martial Arts World.

While the other sects were the typical martial arts sects, the Heavenly Mountain Sect was more like a cultivation sect, much like having a sect of immortals in a martial arts world. Anyone from the Heavenly Mountain Sect could crush the entire Martial Arts World.

Ding Chunqiu, who had only learned the weakest technique, the Martial Arts Energy-Draining Technique, from the Heavenly Mountain Sect, was actually able to leave the entire Martial Arts World helpless, with countless top martial arts experts dying at his hands. The power imbalance was too overwhelming.

Moreover, in the original plot, when the Shaolin Temple learned that the Xingxiu Sect was about to attack, the people’s morale shattered, and they all fled, leaving only the abbot and a few elderly and weak monks behind.

Among the disciples of the third generation, only Xuzhu was caught by the abbot because he ran slowly, and he couldn’t escape. In the end, the abbot, in order to preserve the Shaolin Temple’s legacy, entrusted the treasure of the temple, *The Classic of Changing Tendons*, to Xuzhu, telling him to take it and flee. However, Xuzhu was clumsy, and in the end, he was captured by the people of the Xingxiu Sect.

In the storyline above, there was no scene where everyone gathered at the Shaolin Temple to join forces to resist the demon.

[Was it because something changed in the middle, causing the Martial World people to scatter before the Xingxiu Sect arrived? Or did the original world plot change? If it was the latter, why did it change? Was it because of my involvement, causing a Butterfly Effect? But after I arrived in this world, I hadn’t participated in the plot yet, so how could it have changed?]

Kuzuki couldn’t figure out the answer.

    Mount Song, Shaolin Temple.

A large crowd gathered, filling half of Shaolin Temple’s square. It was noon, and the hot sun shone directly down, but no one complained about the heat.

Thousands of people gathered here, swords and spears lined up like trees, shoulders brushing against knees, voices boiling over the sky, everywhere filled with greetings and loud shouts.

Kuzuki walked alone through the gaps between the crowd, occasionally greeting people by waving his hand and saying “久仰” (which means “I’ve heard much about you” or “I’ve long admired you”) to others. He didn’t seem to have much of a connection with them.

After everyone had roughly gotten acquainted, a sudden voice rose above the crowd.

“Everyone, be quiet for a moment. Today we’ve gathered at Shaolin Temple to take on Ding Chunqiu, the demon. Now, let’s welcome Master Xuanku of Shaolin Temple!” The volume wasn’t loud enough to drown out the noise, but it was clear enough to see the level of Internal Energy he had.

He revealed a bit of his skill, surprising many people. The crowd fell silent again.

Far away, the main gate of Shaolin Temple suddenly opened, and a group of people walked out, with Master Xuanku leading them.

The people in the crowd split like water, revealing the man in the middle who was speaking.

He was about forty years old, with a unique appearance and a stylish look. He wore white robes and carried a sword at his waist, with a dragon skin scabbard.

Kuzuki had artificial Mystic Eyes that allowed him to see distant things clearly. The long sword he carried was unusual in length, about four feet five inches, longer than an average sword by a foot or so. The rough cloth wrapped around the hilt was worn down, indicating it was often used.

He was talking to Master Xuanku when a suspicious-looking guy next to him said excitedly, “Jiuhua Sword Sect’s Hidden Sword Taoist also came.”

Kuzuki seemed uneasy and approached him respectfully. “Brother Ge, I haven’t had the chance to ask yet.”

Liu Chengshuang said, “I’m Qingcheng disciple Liu Chengshuang. I don’t know you, but I do know how to behave.”

Kuzuki said, “I’ve long admired you, I’ve long admired you. I am the wanderer Kuzuki. By the way, Brother Liu, do you know who called everyone here? Do you have any news about it?” He was suspicious about the large gathering and how it had happened so naturally in this era.

Liu Chengshuang said with a smile, “Brother Ge, you’re asking the right person. I do know. Master Xuanku issued Hero Invitations seven days ago, summoning people from all over to Mount Song to take on Ding Chunqiu together. As Qingcheng’s chief disciple, I was sent here by my master.”

Kuzuki seemed confused, wondering if it wasn’t as described in the original text or if they were in a parallel world.

He was still thinking when Liu Chengshuang expressed his surprise.

The empty space in the center revealed several well-known figures. Liu Chengshuang called them out one by one, like announcing dishes at a restaurant: “Sea Sand Gang boss… Luo Kun, Beggar Sect’s Nine-Pouch Elder… Zhang Lianle, Diancang Sect’s Northern Void Swordsman, the Zhong Family member from Ebei known as Ghosts Fear Cry… Eagle King from the Eagle Claw Wild Goose Sect is also here. Ding Chunqiu won’t survive this time!”

After some small talk, the Hidden Sword Taoist opened his mouth again.

He said loudly, “We’re all here for one reason: to take on Old Freak of Xingxiu and Xingxiu Sect. But we can’t do that without a leader. Master Xuanku issued Hero Invitations to gather everyone from the Martial Arts World. I have an idea: why not choose someone as the Martial Arts Alliance Leader now? It would be good to have one person leading us all together, wouldn’t it?”

“Okay!” Thousands of people raised their swords and roared.

Liu Chengshuang, who was beside Kuzuki, was also excitedly holding Splitting Water Thrust and randomly shooting bullets into the air.

Such a major event in the Martial Arts World is rarely seen. Being able to participate in it makes every Martial Arts World person extremely excited.

Liu Chengshuang finished his sentence and turned around to ask, “Brother Ge, why aren’t you happy? Martial Arts Alliance Leader ah!”

Kuzuki scanned the crowd with a calm expression: “Martial Arts Alliance Leader doesn’t usually get to sit here. If he were chosen as Martial Arts Alliance Leader, he would tell you to charge forward. Would you do that?”

Liu Chengshuang froze for a moment and didn’t say anything, looking upset before quieting down.

Someone in the arena shouted, “Who is going to be the Martial Arts Alliance Leader?”
