Chapter 99 Preparations for the Final Battle

    Tianshan Spirit Vulture Palace.

Hanging suspended on the peak, overlooking the clouds with pride.

In the Pavilion of Cloud Watching, a figure is playing the piano while suspended in mid-air.

Dressed in a pink Ru Yi skirt, her waist-length silver hair flows freely. Her silhouette resembles a lotus flower that cannot be trifled with.

A maid servant rushes in and kneels on one knee, saying: “Young Lady, the Master of 72 Caves has been waiting for a long time.”

The figure playing the piano turns around. Her cherry lips curl into a perfect smile, her eyebrows are dotted with three plum blossoms.

“Understood,” she says in a cold and emotionless voice.

In Ling Xiao Palace, several dozen Martial World People are seated orderly on the stage. They are well-behaved and do not make any noise.

Seeing Tian Shan Little Fairy enter the stage, Master of 72 Caves immediately kneels down and says: “I pay my respects to Little Fairy. May you live for a thousand years and share your fate with Tianshan!”

Wu Xingyun takes her seat and looks around with a faint smile: “You’ve all been very well-behaved this year, and I’m satisfied. Today, I will grant you the Life and Death Talisman’s recipe.”

“Thank you, Little Fairy,” they say.

Wu Xingyun waves her sleeves, sending out dozens of light beams that precisely fall on Master of 72 Caves.

“The Life and Death Talisman is a single symbol. Those who follow my wishes will have their cultivation greatly enhanced; those who defy my wishes will have their meridians severed. There’s no escaping life or death, nor can one avoid it. All are in my hands!” Wu Xingyun says with a merry laugh.

A maid servant announces: “Young Lady, Lord of Ling Xiao Cave is here.”

Two maidservants carry a small table into the room.

The table holds half a person… no, even less than that. It only has a head, neck, and half a shoulder!

Lord of Ling Xiao Cave is still alive despite having only his head left. He can think normally.

Seeing Little Fairy, the half-bodied Lord of Ling Xiao Cave begs: “Young Lady, please give me back my lower body.”

Wu Xingyun smiles sweetly: “I burned it…”

Lord of Ling Xiao Cave says again: “Then please kill me…”

But Wu Xingyun waves dismissively, signaling for the maidservants to take him away.

“Breaking palace rules means you won’t be reborn. If anyone wants to follow his path, let them do so!”

Master of 72 Caves kneels together: “I dare not.”

A maid outside the hall suddenly sings: “Carefree Sect Patriarch seeks to see Miss He.”

[Carefree Sect···Is this related to Carefree Master?]

Wu Xingyun feels suspicious, thinking deeply: “Let him come in.”

A tall figure enters the hall, looks around, and says to Wu Xingyun sitting on the dais: “I am Kuzuki. I have important business with Miss He.”

Wu Xingyun gives Kuzuki a haughty bow, smirking coldly: “You must be joking! Dare you discuss such important matters with me?”

A snap of the fingers sends out a white light, which instantly appears.

The light barely reaches Kuzuki three feet away before it dissipates as if hitting an invisible barrier.

“This has to do with Li Canghai……”

As soon as Kuzuki says this, Wu Xingyun turns pale and excited: “What are you saying! The ocean…… Where is the ocean?”

    “Heaven’s End Sea Pavilion.”

Wu Xingyun doesn’t even think about it; she believes him.

Over the years, she has repeatedly ordered Master of 72 Caves to inquire about Li Canghai’s whereabouts in The Martial Arts World, but without success. If anyone could keep Li Canghai’s movements completely secret, it would only be Li Qiushui.

“Of course her! Li Qiushui!” Wu Xingyun looks coldly at him, her surroundings filled with a chill.”This lowlife!”

Thinking that Li Canghai is in Heaven’s End Sea Pavilion, Wu Xingyun can’t hold back her eagerness and flies up to the heavens, leaving behind those who called out to her.

Kuzuki sees his goal achieved and doesn’t linger, transforming into a beam of light as he rushes through the sky.

Master of 72 Caves steps out of the hall but can only watch helplessly; Wu Xingyun and Kuzuki are too fast for them to catch up.

“Quick, Miss He has gone to Heaven’s End Sea Pavilion. Gather everyone immediately and ride hard to Heaven’s End Sea Pavilion!”

    ········

The rebuilt Heaven’s End Sea Pavilion is now larger than before.

    Lakefront Cottage.

Li Qiushui lounges leisurely in the pavilion, occasionally taking a puff of smoke from the incense burner, looking like an angel.

A silhouette walked in, knelt down, and said: “See you, Little Aunt.”

Li Qiushui was also called Little Aunt.

She lazily lifted her head and said: “Ding Chunqiu, have you been in contact with the people from Lingpao Palace recently?”

“Little Aunt, Ding Chunqiu has been hiding in the dark for a while now, not daring to leave Heaven’s End Sea Pavilion too far away. He hasn’t had any contact with Lingpao Palace.”

“Did you get any news about the person I asked you to investigate last time?”

The half-kneeling figure looked up and revealed her face… It was A’zi.

She cautiously said: “Sorry, Little Aunt, this guy named Kuzuki just appeared out of nowhere. We’ve only been able to track his movements for the past month.”

“No problem, I don’t blame you. Go ahead and tell me.”

“Yes.” A’zi continued: “A month ago, Kuzuki appeared at Quanzhen Sect and then went to Shaolin Temple. Along the way, he stayed at Longmen Inn and got into a fight with a group of Martial World People. After killing one person, he retreated completely.”

A month later, he fought Ding Chunqiu at Shaolin Temple, chasing him all the way to Heaven’s End Sea Pavilion before being knocked back by Little Aunt.

Li Qiushui looked annoyed and sighed: “Knocked back? That guy is still alive.”

“Yes, seven days ago, our people found his tracks at Miaoyao Peak…”

    “What was he doing there?”

“I don’t know about that either, but Ding Chunqiu’s new disciple Ye Haochen died there two months ago. Maybe it was because of a fight between the two.”

Li Qiushui shrugged and waved her hand: “Alright, I understand now. Be careful, and I won’t let you down afterward.”

A’zi bowed deeply and maintained her stance as she exited the pavilion.

Not long after, a small black dot appeared in the sky, with Lingyun hovering above.

“Li Qiushui, come out of there and die!” Thunder rumbled from above.

Li Qiushui’s face changed color, and she knocked over an incense burner, sending it flying into the air: “Wu Xingyun! You’re not playing your Overlord Games at Tianmen anymore, why come here to bother me?”

Wu Xingyun and Li Qiushui were a hundred meters apart in mid-air.

“You came here for what reason? Say it! Where did you hide the ocean?”

“That’s a joke. You can’t find the ocean, but you come to bother me—what’s the point?”

Wu Xingyun coldly said: “It doesn’t matter if you don’t say it. I’ll fight you anyway!”

Two people are sworn enemies, viewing each other as archrivals. They don’t hold back their true feelings and immediately clash in the sky.

    On the other side.

Kuzuki sneaks onto Heavens End Sea Pavilion’s building without being noticed.

Ignoring the fight above, Kuzuki focuses on the buildings in front of him.

Heavens End Sea Pavilion is built halfway up a mountain. The underground is a massive cave. Li Qiushui hides Li Canghai’s body down there.

It’s too much trouble to dig through the ground, so Kuzuki plans to create an underground tunnel.

    “Dong!”

Kuzuki punches the ground, causing a thunderous crash. The earth collapses instantly, revealing a large hole.

The underground is indeed a unique place.

A layer of soil ten meters thick is shattered by Kuzuki’s punch, sending countless rocks and dirt falling into the underground cave. They crash against the floor below, creating distant crashes.

Kuzuki jumps into the underground cavity, carefully searching around. After walking a short distance, he notices signs of human-made excavation. He follows the path forward and enters an underground stone room.

The room contains one person sitting cross-legged.

It’s not Li Canghai, it’s Ding Chunqiu!
